This could very well be the best hidden gem in all of Gilbert. Certainly the best Thai restaurant by far. The service was fantastic and the food came out quickly for how busy it was. Your can't go wrong with anything on the menu, is all prepared authentically.

This place was great! Ordered the choo chee rainbow fish trout, but they ran out of rainbow trout so owner gave me a large sea bass instead. Tasted amazing! Sauce was fragrant from the herbs, exterior was nice and crispy, and sauce had the right amount of spicy kick. Atmosphere inside the restaurant was also cozy.

I love myself some good Thai and had eaten here once before, so when I was in the area again I just had to stop. Their Panang Chicken Curry is absolutely delicious and always worth getting. They also had new menus

Fantastic and authentic Thai food. I got the Panang curry and the spring roll appetizer. Evryone at my table also loved the food they ordered. If you love Thai food, I highly recommend this place!

What a fantastic family tan Thai restaurant. All the dishes we tried were fantastic, some of them were so unique we’ve never had anything like it. All the dishes were flavorful and delicious, will definitely be back to reorder our favorites and try new dishes!!

My husband & I used to go here years ago when it was Mint Thai. Then we moved to a different area of the East Valley. I was looking for somewhere fun to eat today & came across Café de Bangkok. We were curious to see how it had changed with its new ownership, so we hopped in the car & went. Let me tell you that it was worth the drive! The physical space itself has been completely transformed into something clean, calm and beautiful. Quiet instrumental music plays in the background. The wait staff was courteous & efficient. Now the star of this review…the food! We started with salad rolls with shrimp & they were so delicious! My husband ordered the Arizona Waterfall & I ordered Pad Se Ew with Shrimp. Everything was wonderful and the presentation for all three dishes was beautiful! If you enjoy Thai food as much as we do, stop by for a worthwhile food experience!!

Tucked away in the unassuming desert sprawl of Gilbert, AZ, Café De Bangkok is like that favorite playlist you didn’t know you needed until you hit play. One visit, and you’re immediately reminded why Thai food belongs at the top of your comfort-food hierarchy.
Take, for example, the Khao Soi — a bowl that feels like a warm hug from a faraway friend, topped with crispy noodles for a welcome crunch and delicate spice that lingers like a plot twist in a thriller. The rich, coconut broth gently invites you in, while hints of lime and red onion remind you why food can be both an adventure and a comfort all at once. It's a dish that almost demands an encore.
The decor may be simple, but it’s the flavors that speak volumes. Cafe De Bangkok doesn’t just serve meals; it delivers moments. Whether you’re a heat seeker or after a more mellow vibe, this spot has you covered. Just be prepared to fend off a food coma afterward — you’ve been warned.
