Cafe Čokl

Best specialty coffee in town. Always great roast, the owner is lovely and up for a laugh. If you truly care about your espresso just check out Čokl and don’t get me started on the baristas, professional and nice staff, as it should be 🙌

Just amazing coffee. When we entered the café we didn't see any menu and we weren't sure if there is a service or if we have to order at the bar. Nevertheless after we sat down on a very nice terrace we were served almost immediately. The cappuccino was one of the best coffees I have ever had and it was only €2.40. The location is also very nice. The café is on foot of the castle hill and if you sit on the terrace you can watch castle funicular as you drink your perfect cup of coffee.

I had a plant based macchiato and I really liked it. The terrace is nice to sit out, quite in the center but somehow it was quite tranquil and chilled. The waiter was fast and very kind.

Great coffee place in Liubliana! As soon as I saw "Colombian coffee" I knew this was the one (I'm from Colombia :) ) I was actually surprised to taste a medium roasted, with fruity notes coffee here. I ended up trying the kuhano vino and it was amazing! Thank you Martin, for your great service!

Nice local cafe with exceptional coffee. Nice vibe and service. Huge terrace to enjoy on a sunny day. Locals come here with dogs and lead heated discussions:) Warning for people with limited mobility - toilet is located downstairs.

The best café in Ljubljana! I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Tine, and chatting with him. He’s one of the most passionate entrepreneurs I’ve ever met. He shared a lovely story about his grandmother, who adored fresh coffee, and how it was part of their culture to enjoy coffee while discussing important topics. What stood out to me was Tine's dedication to preserving his country’s coffee culture by creating a welcoming atmosphere where customers can relax and savor their coffee. Tine also emphasizes fair trade and sustainable production, supporting small farmers to ensure they benefit from their work. They roast their coffee fresh and serve it to customers in-house. Interestingly, the café does not offer takeaway options in disposable cartons or plastic cups. If you want takeaway, you need to bring your own reusable coffee cup. The only downside is that the café has a small indoor space, so don’t expect a lot of room inside. However, they do have a cozy little terrace outside. I loved the café’s warm, inviting atmosphere and their delicious coffee. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a great cup of coffee in Ljubljana.

Best coffee in town. They roast their own beans with passion. Their service is very friendly and always with a smile. Handy as it’s by the puppet theatre the open market and the funicular to the castle.
