Cabane Mont Fort

The service was amazing and made our stay! The food was fixed but very good, and the rooms were warm, a bit tiny even for a hut but nice. Good clean showers and facilities. Main downside- highly and unreasonably expensive, and the price doesn’t include even one token for a shower that you have to buy separately… Other than that, beautiful

Our group of six had a wonderful, wonderful stay here. We took cable cars much of the way, then walked about an hour and a half. Gorgeous, gorgeous views all the way, still nothing prepared us for the beauty and novelty of staying at the cabane. Like being on top of the world!||Beautiful deck for food and drinks. Nice dining room for dinner an breakfast (we booked half board). Yummy, plentiful food. And friendly, kind owners and staff.||Bunk beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower facilities are new and spotless.||Enjoyed watching for marmots nearby. A great stay.

The best mountain hut I've stayed at. Super friendly people serving you, amazing and tasty food, and they have their own bakery inside, so expect amazing bread and freshly baked croissants and many more. The room was comfy, it had all you need.

Great place, kind service, but definitely overprice to sleep there. Almost double of the average trekkers' huts: you even need to pay the shower (with 130 CHF per night!) and no reliable internet connection (they rely on the public one which is not available in the rooms). Nice to pass by, not to sleep there.

Our stay here was very nice. We are through-hiking the Haute Route and this has been the best mountain hut we have stayed in, thus far. We arrived very early and the refuge was open as was their kitchen. We had a snack and then lunch before the check-in that was at around 15:00. The food was very good. Good pastries and cookies. We had a hamburger and french fries for lunch. They had two beers on draft as well. Lots of families with dogs and kids. The hut seemed to be very accommodating to both. They even offer a high chair for infants. Wifi was good in the dining area and deck. It did not reach us in our second floor private room, but it did reach the first floor. I had no issues with loading short videos off social media. Did not try downloading video like a movie. We had a power outlet in our room and each bed had wall mounted hangers and a small shelf. There are separate bathrooms, toilets and showers for men and women. Regarding the showers, for 5.00 CHF you get a token, towel, soap and shampoo. The token is good for 2 minutes of water. However, you can pause the flow of water which stops the 2-minute timer. The water gets hot within seconds and the shower is very large. My only criticism of the shower is, like every other hut, there is no place to set your clothes. 2 minutes doesn’t sound like much but it was actually a lot of water since you can pause the timer. The staff was great. Those who’s English was as good as my French got help from other members of the staff to help explain details. We interacted with five different employees and they all were patient and helpful. The customer service from them all was very good.

Amazing view on Mont Blanc chain, sunset, etc. Sky full of stars at night. Delicious food, with bread and pastries cooked on site. Very comfortable rooms and beds with hot shower… Best cabane/refuge in the Alps? Congrats to the team !!!
