"Otherwise known as “the rooftop bar in Peckham that isn’t Frank’s”, the Bussey Rooftop Bar is, nonetheless, still an excellent and grown-up place to grab a drink, plus it’s usually less crowded than its neighbour. If you like a conventional bar (as opposed to drinking in a car park), with a proper sound system, a bigger choice of drinks, and a chance to see whatever’s showing at their rooftop cinema a few metres away, Bussey is the rooftop for you." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, daisy meager

"Why not climb five flights of stairs, admire the London views and all the people trying desperately to get served on the top of the overly subscribed and overrated Peckham car park. Meanwhile you sup your own semi-expensive pint safe in the knowledge that you could order two in the time it takes them to order one. Ahhh... what a view! Oh no, my wallet! Oh who cares. The pizza is flaming good too (literally), it’s supplied by the much celebrated ‘Pizza Pilgrims’ I’ll have you know. We're biased though because we only work one floor down!" - Studio A4 E+F

"Looking over neighbouring Frank’s Cafe and across London’s skyline, the view from the top of the Bussey Building only gets better as the sun goes down and the city lights up. Social enterprise Share a Slice slings chewy-crust pizzas and a fully stocked bar will keep the party going all night. It’s a fairly small spot that exudes a cosy, down-to-earth, neighbourhood atmosphere that makes its visitors want to settle in for the evening." - Daisy Meager

Great views, music and decor! Cocktails weren’t amazing but there were a range of spirits. Would probably return if in the area.

After failing to get into another nearby rooftop bar, we ended up at Bussey Rooftop instead. It’s on the 5th floor of the building, but getting up there was a bit of a mission. The lift is this old industrial type that felt a bit sketchy, and you need a code to access the top floor, otherwise it only stops at the 4th. If the weather’s not too hot, I’d actually recommend just taking the stairs. There aren’t many stairs in between floors, and it’s probably quicker. Once up there, the space itself is okay but a bit underwhelming. The menu is super limited, with only a handful of drink options. Ordering is easy with a QR code at the table, though. The biggest letdown was the atmosphere. The whole place smelled a bit like rubbish and it was so warm and muggy. We came up hoping for a bit of a breeze and fresh air, but the space is mostly walled in and there are no fans, so it just traps the heat. Definitely not the rooftop escape we were hoping for.

After buying tickets on line the ‘check in’ is usually efficient. Headphones are handed over ready to be used and the sound is always reliable. The ordering system via the code on the opposite chair is to be followed with directions. The pop corns (that’s what I usually order) are always fresh. What to say about the atmosphere? A 360 degrees view of the city is breathtaking. This is not a standard cinema outing. Hence the ticket price which provides an out of the ordinary experience.

Had a the most incredible private party at Bussey Rooftop Bar. The events team were so attentive in the build up, making sure every detail was covered and the bar team on the day could not have been more friendly and made the whole event run effortlessly smoothly. The views and set up inside are just magical, such a great place for a party! Thanks to Nick, Sasha-Sky, Colin and the rest of the team!

The positives: Nice views and funky decor. Wasn’t too busy which was nice. Table service. My friend liked her pizza but it came with no cutlery or napkin or offer of sauces - had to chase after this. The negatives: Really uncomfortable bar stools with no padding - in the end had to stand as my rear end was numb. A lot of cocktails were not available according to the QR ordering app but I kept seeing a frozen pink one being sent to other tables but no staff (asked several) could advise me what it was and why it wasn’t available to order. There was an ordering glitch for a while that resulted in a wrong order going through and this was never really resolved - I ended up with two drinks instead of one. Staff offered to switch one to a frozen margarita for my friend but after waiting for half an hour we gave up. Initially we were told it’d take about 5-10 minutes to prepare but it took way longer. We were moved after a few hours which wasn’t a problem but there was a smell of sewage at the second table. Overall drinks were a bit too sweet and too much ice so I’d say overpriced for the area. Had a nice time but wouldn’t plan to return (mainly because of the really uncomfortable seats).

Pizza & drink for £14 just until 7 pm! An ideal semi-outdoor spot for summertime chilling, although I had to take the stairs up four floors. By the way, don’t forget to wear shades because the sun’s rays will otherwise hurt your eyes. The pizza was fantastic since they used excellent sourdough.

Look for the deep red gate/door entry in the middle of Bussey Ally, there is normally a security guard sitting by the red door. Thats the entrance. It is a long long way up 5 flights of stairs (no lift!). Once you are up, to the left is the bar and to the right is the outdoor cinema/screen area. Pizzas and service are rather good. Music is loud and some of the cocktails are dismissible. The peach ham salad was good. Be mindful it very windy up there! Overall nice place.

Well, this was quite shit. I wanted an Aper Spritz and was told that they’re out of Prosecco. Ok. So I asked for a Sauvignon. Didn’t have that either. Pizza took 40 minutes to come (and they were out of the one from the menu I wanted anyway ). When the barman was serving us, he decided halfway through to start pouring pints for someone else. What is this? Go to Frank’s rooftop instead, this was dreadful.

Yelp
Now as long as this is the right Bussey bar all is good. I say this as this bar is on the rooftop next to the rooftop cinema which is on top of the Bussey building. However when I looked at the existing photos it doesn't look quite right? Anyway the bar has a range of cocktails alongside beers, wines, soft drinks and some hot drinks. Everything is served in plastic cups as we are outside and also so you can take your drinks into the cinema area, I guess. The price of some of the drinks is a bit of a negative for me, pint of Peroni £6, a bit steep I think, I know they have a captive audience and I guess it's all part of the experience but I still feel the prices are just a little steep. So it's a choice buy a drink or not it's up to every individual. On a nice evening there is a great view of some of Londons iconic buildings. The Shard, Gurkin etc etc. I do like the location and the relaxed vibe of the bar just not sure about the pricing!!

Yelp
This bar is a gem in Peckham and so hidden. Love the drinks not to expensive too. The view is so gorgeous and such good atmosphere and music. Will definitely recommend it.
