Bún ốc Giang phố cổ

This is a stall on the street with some tables and stools. We came February 2023 and got the Bun Oc. It was quite good. Price was good, paid 40k per bowl. And beer at 30k which seems pretty normal for the area.

Tiny stall between two new restaurants. It doesn't seem to stop anyone wanting a cheap quick bite. The stall is in front of an tiny alley between two restaurants not named by the Google map. Maybe I'll edit them in.

Excellent broth with tomato flavor. The store is relocated to 29 ta hien. You'll have a direction from a nice lady so dont worry much. The owner is super friendly. They have 2 kind of broth, the cool one and the hot one. Be sure to noticed the chef or she will serve you the hot one by default. Vnd50000 for a bowl (~$2)

This was the most memorable dish I had in Hanoi. The snail noodle soup was clean, light and delicious. What a great find by Anthony Bourdain.

This rice noodle is unusual but it’s great. I think it’s similar to Lau taste. It’s a rice noodle that you can eat neatly. Don’t add a lot of spicy seasoning. If you add a little it the so spicy.

The snail noodle soup is nice and clean. The stall have down sized maybe due to COVID. the store can be identified by the bowl design is still the same as shared by others.
