Our stay at Buckland Manor was a very restful experience. The room we stayed in was beautifully furnished, spacious, and even came with a charming Christmas tree, adding a touch of festive cheer. The bed was superbly comfortable, and we had a recuperative night’s sleep.||The grounds are absolutely wonderful, providing a tranquil setting to relax and unwind. Breakfast was a highlight—a wonderful full English featuring delicious mushrooms.||Dinner at the fine dining restaurant was good and service was attentive and warm, though I felt it was slightly overpriced for what it was. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly marred by a neighboring guest who kept coughing and blowing her nose into a napkin. While this was off-putting, I understand it’s beyond the staff’s control.||Overall, Buckland Manor is an exquisite escape, perfect for those seeking comfort, elegance, and a serene atmosphere.

Another splendid Christmas stay a Buckland Manor. Despite quite a change in staff the excellent service remained unaltered. The new chef (to us) Ed and his team produced wonderful food at all times. My favourite was the Christmas Eve gala dinner. Housekeeping do an excellent service, never had occasion to go back to room to find it had not been cleaned. Marcellin ever present, very busy but always finds time for a chat. Enjoyed Christmas so much have booked already for next year.

This place is as marvellous as it looks in every respect in terms of appearance. We had a gorgeous room and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Far exceeding what we experienced for dinner on the night of our stay (separate review for the restaurant experience).|The only thing that cost this hotel a 5 star rating was the very unpleasant stench emanating from the drains in the bathroom. Unfortunately the door to the bathroom had been left open do when we entered the room the beautiful visual ambience was quickly obliterated by the olfactory invasion of a pungent sewer. We closed the bathroom door and fortunately thot trapped the stench in that room and we managed to enjoy our night in the rest of the delightful room. We spent very little time in the bathroom - which was beautifully appointed and generously proportioned. |The tea and coffee facilities in the room were excellent as were the delicious shortbread biscuits provided. |Sort the plumbing out and this place would definitely get 5 stars.

This was a return trip for us to emerse ourselves in the calm surroundings of the manor. All the staff are so kind and friendly, the property historic but well maintained including individual and well appointed rooms. Restaurant food both at dinner and breakfast outstanding.

Not having many rooms (15 I think) results in a homely, calm and relaxing atmosphere. All of the team are very welcoming, friendly and informally professional, which includes the housekeepers/maintenance who will also join in conversation with you. Overall this just makes it a very nice place to be. Being a smaller hotel, the restaurant is perhaps slightly more limited in choice than some, but this enables it to excel in what it does do. Definately one of those places you go back to, as others clearly do. I'd put a couple of nice chandeliers in the restaurant though, if I was being picky. Great in winter, with its big roaring fires. The local tourist hotspots are also pretty quiet this time of year, making them pleasure to visit.

I always love afternoon tea here. If I could visit more often I would. The establishment is beautiful and traditional stone. Especially stunning at Christmas with the cosy fires. Staff are always attentive. Summer is a lovely event too. With croquet on the lawn. Very English.

We had a really relaxing stay at Buckland Manor. The room was very comfortable and it was lovely to sit in the lounge with the open fire. The service was really excellent. The village of Buckland and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful; it's great to be so close to Broadway. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Tucked away right before the main Broadway strip, Buckland is a gorgeous manor. We didn't stay at the manor but went for afternoon tea. The lobby lounge area was very quaint and cozy for tea. We sat on some cushy couches to enjoy. The tea selections were plentiful and several options for the tea food as well. The service was also on point. The food was just ok - one of the finger sandwiches was dry around the edges, so it had clearly been pre-cut and sitting out. The fruit scone was also extremely dry, burnt, crumbled at the touch. Surprising and unfortunate. One of the sweet options on the top rack was stuck to the plate so it exploded as we tried to placate it and we didn't really get to eat it. Food was 3 stars at best but the ambiance was key. To note - there was a 10% service charge auto-added to our bill and parking is free.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for our 40 th wedding trip. We were here for 4 days before we left on a cruise. The rooms are gorgeous, the meals are wonderful. My husband discovered oatmeal for breakfast served with a splash of scotch. We returned a few years ago with friends for lunch and were treated like long lost friends. The gardens are beautiful, the place is so relaxing.I cannot say enough about it. It is just what you really want when you visit England. We can't wait to return.
