A neighbourhood shop with character and history. The spice and herb section is great and we get refills of eco friendly cleaning products – they also have rice and several other things. (Hopefully one day soon they'll add more bulk/zero waste items.)

This place is great. If you can’t be flexible to the staff in the health food shop being a bit quirky then you should shop in Tesco. It’s lovely shop run by hearty people and everything is good value. Fresh cakes and savouries, amazing herb & spice selection and lots of larder items unavailable in other stores. Ignore the grumpy reviews, Brixton Wholefoods is still standing for a reason.

I grew up in Brixton and I do like this shop purely for their great selection of reasonably priced health foods and I’ve spent a lot of money there over the years. I can’t quite work out why everyone that works at Brixton Wholefoods is sooooo moody and make you feel guilty for asking if they have what you’re looking for when you can’t see it. I’ve been there 500 times at least and I’ve never even had as much as a ‘Hello’, never mind a smile….! What is that??

As well as herbs and spices, they have a great selection of fresh veg, salad and delicious bread! Helpful staff are at hand for advice and to point you in the right direction. What a special shop!

First time visiting this shop, was recommended by regular customer that shops there. The shop was not busy as I entered in. The lady with the mask behind the counter was not welcoming at all very rude. I explained to her this was my first time visiting this shop and someone recommended me to go there. I asked her what do you recommend for tummy bloating, joint and muscle pain. She was hesitant to say anything and gave me a leaflet for me to come during week where somebody comes in to talk. Bearing in mind I am not from that area as I travelled far too get there.I would not be able to travel back down. I decided to leave zero customer service not helpful at all. Avoid ❌

Rude and abrasive staff members. The dry herb storage is not great. Everything tastes a smells of everything else due to not being in airtight containers. I would go to Baldwins on walworth rd for a much better experience and knowledgeable staff

Visited today for the first time and bought several packages of Infinity Foods organic cereals (barley flakes, spelt flakes, fregola) as well as some Biona organic products at a much lower price compared to online retailers, such as Ocado, or Amazon. Very kind and helpful staff too.

Well, used local facilities and good quality local natural products. Unfortunately, staff are not always 😕 polite or helpful. Customers are more likely to help eachother out if needing assistance 🙂 as staff appear to be otherwise, preoccupied or busy stocking their shelves and leaving their customers together with queries they have amongst themselves. Not, friendly or helpful 😕 but if you enjoy self service 😉 and know interaction from other people..its the place to be. Great local access to neighbouring shops and good local amenities.
