Neighborhood coffee shop with a vintage interior, they do their own rotating and have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches. The pizza bagel was really good and definitely should be on the top of the list of things to get if you visit. The shop seems small but there's two seating areas in the back you might miss at first, connected via a small hallway. Great space & coffee, very much worth your time to visit.

Got a matcha cortado this morning, I was confused on why the cup felt so light. When I arrived at my destination I took off the lid and had less than half the cup full. Is this how it comes?? If so, do better and write down a description of how it comes. Paid $4 for 2oz of what? To top everything off, it was the worst matcha I ever had! Also, the atmosphere in this place is depressing, no friendly smiles. Where’s the good energy at!? Everyone left it home or what.

Best coffee in the city, hands down. We appreciate their minimalism, simplicity, and dedication to an excellent product. All of their beans are direct-trade sourced from farmers, and you can tell they roast them with care and precision. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and expertly trained. Jack and his family have created a true cornerstone for our community that's withstood the test of time, and for that, we are forever grateful. (Pro tip: If you're really struggling and in desperate need of a pick-me-up, their cold brew is basically rocket fuel.)

Lovely. They were patient with us (we are foreigners and sometimes ordering is a struggle to us). We ordered a cream cheese bagel, a capuccino, a hot chocolate and granola. Everything was so tasty. We are really going to remember this place we stumbled upon looking for breakfast our first day in Chicago!

There’s a huge map of the world on the wall too that I love to admire whenever I sit down for a coffee. They also low key have one of the best Jalapeño Cheddar bagels with cream cheese that can rival a lot of bagel shops in Chicago (not sure about NYC though). Highly recommend for a local coffee shop experience Chicago Style!

Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed! Their drip coffee was tasty but the breakfast sandwiches stole the show. Holeless everything bagels were money. I got the eggs and bacon with melty provolone. So good. My wife and I split a parfait as well which was good even if the granola was a touch soggy. Really great service and a community vibe made it a great experience.

Terrible experience! I ordered an iced latte and I was handed a hot latte. When I mentioned I wanted iced they said that's not what you ordered. My husband went back in and they again said that's not what you ordered. Their solution: I can charge you for another latte. Well, I guess this cup of ice (with no lid) and my hot latte will be the last from Bridgeport Coffeehouse.

As a first-time visitor to this cute neighborhood coffee shop, I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The menu may be small, but full of excellent options. On the barista's recommendation, I ordered an iced coffee and was not disappointed--it was perfectly brewed and incredibly refreshing for a typical extra hot coffee drinker. I regret not ordering one of the tasty-looking donuts that were on display. Great outdoor space that's perfect for enjoying a beautiful day. Despite being incredibly busy, the line moved quickly, and the staff handled the rush effortlessly. Bridgeport coffee won me over!

Tasty beverages and wonderful seating for convo + studying. Grabbed beans to take the experience with me home and planning next visit!

Bagel sandwich was good and so was my tea. The vibe is also just what you'd expect from a Bridgeport coffee shop. It was busy but we were able to snag a table there. Would recommend.

We are regulars. This is my favorite place to get coffee and sometimes sweets. I always get their white mocha hot or cold. They never disappoint. The workers are so nice too, they even add extra shots if there's any left over. You need to try their pastries as well. Their lemon cakes are amazing. They have teas too, the orange tea is my favorite. The place is very welcoming and clean. It's a nice place to do homework. Best place ever.

i love love love the vibes here, it's such a homey cafe! i like the location too because there's not a lot of traffic. i got the iced chai latte and it wasn't that great, tasted watered down but id still come here for the vibes and to try other drinks! service was good too! bring cash & you'll get a discount :)

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The coffee was burnt, it tasted old. There was a younger looking manager who I told about it, but they didn't fix the issue and had an attitude. I will never go back here again. If you're deciding if you should go here or not, DONT. There are a lot more coffee spots in Chicago that surpass this one.

Coffee places are easy to find in Bridgeport. It's got quite a few to choose from with varying prices and quality. Bridgeport Coffee is no exception. Has a large amount of coffee and a light food menu. The prices are mostly okay for a local coffee place. Atmosphere here is pretty nice and cozy. It has quite a few seats inside. This hardly seems like it's that busy so it's usually not a long time to get an order. It's about $4 for a coffee. There's typical stuff such as lattes. For sure try the food. It's about $7 for sandwiches. A little expensive but these are big. I had the Veggin In Spinach Wrap. Good shit. This has avocados, baby portobellos, balsamic vinaigrette, hummus, lettuce, onions, sweet peppers, and tomatoes. Also has sweets such as brownies. The place also has a nice smell. For sure it's one of the best coffee places around here. It has quite a bit to choose from at breakfast and lunch. The prices are pretty okay on coffee or whatever.

There is a new manager/owner running this place. He's a young kid, and he is working his ass off. When you go to a coffee shop almost every day for 15 years, you really grow to appreciate the distinctions and service and quality. The one thing I wish they would bring back is opening up the second bathroom in the back room because when they're busy, the bathroom waiting can be a bit of a nightmare. But, in terms of quality cleanliness and overall pleasantness, this place is great and it's great right now

I genuinely love this place so much, it's such a nice area to study and work. The ambience is amazing, as is the food!!! I especially loveee their breakfast bagels, I'm constantly craving them they're so good!!

The service was nice and the ambiance was amazing. Very cozy and warm. The lattes were delicious! I was surprised by the inexpensive price for the quality of the coffee! I would highly recommend this place for their coffees. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was alright, but I probably would not order again. Overall, amazing little cafe and I highly recommend taking a visit if you can!

The mocha here is average. It's tasty, but I've had way better with more powerful punch to the flavor. Hmmm. Maybe I'll be a coffee connoisseur next, but nah I get too much caffeine from green tea already. It does have alot of space in it, and I'm sure it's very popular to chill at.

I really wish I could get my money back for the parfait I just brought. Yogurt texture is slimy, fruit isn't fresh, and the granola is chewy! No crunch, it simply taste old.

Great spot for solid coffee. Lots of elevated seats inside plus a line of little cafe tables outside. Friendly staff and my cortado was spot on. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area or want to stick up on great coffee beans.

Bridgeport Coffeehouse serves extremely aromatic delicious bagel sandwiches. I love their toasted Italian on a jalapeño cheddar bagel with Italian seasoning and giardiniera. Simply one of the best quick bites in Bridgeport. Their lattes are awesome the strongest in roasted aromas compared to other cafes. Highly recommend you check this place out!

The toasted breakfast bagel sandwiches and coffee here are amazing. The staff are friendly and skilled at what they do. There are plenty of extra seating in the extended room. Lots of locals come here, which tells you something.

Came here for a quick cup of coffee. The interior is very spacious and they were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a 16 oz cup of their drip coffee. Coffee he is fairly priced. Their coffee was very delicious. It was somewhat strong but still decent enough to be enjoyed black and not with cream and sugar. Definitely one of the best coffee shops in the area that keeps it simple. Will definitely be returning.

I truly enjoy supporting local coffee shops in Bridgeport, my hometown. This particular shop has been a part of the community for a long time, which is something I value. I've been a regular customer for a while because the coffee is decent. In today's economy, spending $6 on a cup of coffee is an indulgence, so I want to feel that my patronage is appreciated when I support local businesses. Unfortunately, on every single visit, the staff's demeanor has been unwelcoming, creating an unfriendly atmosphere. This isn't the first or second time I've felt this negative energy, and it honestly seems to affect the taste of the coffee itself. Despite my best efforts to be friendly and courteous, always smiling and saying "please" and "thank you," I haven't experienced any change. During my latest visit, the coffee and the vibes felt off again, so unfortunately, I'll have to find a warmer and more welcoming coffee shop for now

Nice atmosphere, not many tables, chairs at the windows. The Barristas are nice. On a busy corner in Bridgeport and a lot of foot traffic and well situated.

Bridgeport coffee is great! As soon as I walked in I was greeted, the person who took my order was really nice and answered all my questions, and overall my experience was really great! They have the bar stools on by the windows and they also have a little room off to the side which has plenty of room and is quiet, perfect to do homework.

Matcha latte was very tasty . Not no sweet green milk at all lol. A lot of space to get your work done too.

I really wish I live closer to this cafe!! I absolutely love everything about this place. I only planned to get a small black coffee and grind out some work ... but everything changed when I saw their oddly satisfying perfectly cut chocolate chip brownies. How can pastries look so good? I couldn't resist and ordered one. The brownie isn't too sweet and goes perfectly with my drink!! The cafe is so cute and has tons of room!! It has a vintage vibe and I am really able to focus and get a lot of work done. All the tables and chairs look different so you can really pick your favorite seat at this cafe and call it your own. I will come again and again and again to try all their pastries!

Been to this neighborhood coffee shop 50+ times. The good: * Local vibe. Often see friends and folks from the neighborhood here. Poster for local events. * Big windows front and back. * Staff are friendly. * Breakfast sandwich or Italian sub both tastier than you might expect from a counter-serve shop. * Reliable outdoor seating in the summer (although one of the busier Bridgeport intersections, so traffic noise is a thing). The bad * Wi-Fi mediocre in front room, and horribly spotty in back (drops enough to make me choose other local places). * Pastries are never marked with prices and some (mini-pies, etc) are overpriced so you may be surprised at register. * Little hacks and unfinished or dirty corners (power strips hang from ceiling, aged linoleum, jenky bathroom handles, scattered old newspapers), more the vibe a few points towards cheap rental rather than hipster cool.

Good coffee, and excellent baristas! We were picking up sweets in the vicinity when I had the urge for a breve latte. The people here were so friendly and welcoming. They had good- looking brownies available, but we had just left one of our favorite chocolate shops with brownies, truffles, and bark. I would return to try their desserts, which they get from nearby bakeries. Their offerings vary, and don't always have the same desserts available. If you're in the area, try them out and be kind: tip well.

Love all the little spots to sit and the artwork/pictures all over the place. The staff is friendly and makes great coffee. Iced vanilla latter & iced white mocha to be exact. Love this place. Lots of seating in relatively quiet rooms. Bonus-look at the cute little puppy. And beans for home means great coffee in the morning too.

Excellent coffee, stylish town of the century corner store space, check out the ceiling, killer brownies, my favorite is the blond one with chocolate chips and walnuts and great staff.

The croissants and blueberry scones did not taste freshly baked...must have been baked days before. And it was early in the morning when we bought. Coffee just tastes ok. I make better pour over coffees at home. Avoid if you have better choices.

it's harder and harder to find a nice coffee shop that has big tables and multiple rooms to work in but bridgepoint coffee has just that! love their food and drinks, a couple good veggie options for those like me and just great vibes in here generally. great clean space, cool workers, and a perfect place to get some work done. thank you!

We found this place in walking distance to our air bnb on our trip to Chicago. We arrived a little early, they had seating outside so we parked it until they opened, which I'm happy to report was on time. Coffee was awesome and so were the pastries. I saved it so we can try it again when we are back in Chicago this summer.

The ORIGINAL Bridgeport Coffee! Cool, circa 90s vibe, but more organized + clean, in a typical Chicago old-school digs. A better elevated window seating. Outlets by the tables. Lots and Lots of seating. HAPPY Baristas, HAPPY Coffee. :-D Reliable, good coffee with Standard Menu. Fulfilling meal for $6.50. Enthusiastic-less dessert. DARK ROAST DRIP is worth the trip! Yeah, you only get HALF & HALF. *lol*

This place has gone down-hill. Born and raised in Bridgeport, so this was my go-to study spot in HS and college. Their internet was always terrible, but the vibes always made it a good spot to do be productive. Unfortunately their management decided not to make any improvements whatsoever during the pandemic, and now their internet doesn't work at all. Not not that, but they've seemed to have hired new barista's who don't know how the shop runs at all. Disappointed. Will be going to Jackalope's or the new coffee shop down the street from now on, where their wifi actually works.

My latte with almond milk was great! I was a little disappointed they didn't have oat milk but regardless the latte was still good. The reason for 4 stars is I ordered the egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel. The sandwich was okay, the egg was overly fluffy and soft like an egg patty. I was a little disappointed by it. I would come back because it was convenient to where I stayed in Chicago but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Disclaimer: the 3 stars is mainly for the coffee itself which I'm not a fan of, the actual coffee shop was lovely and I would give it 4 stars. Bridgeport has a medium sized menu and some serious roasting action going on. I ordered a cappuccino and honestly was just weirded out by the flavor. It might depend on who's making it that day so I don't want to say it's their roast but it may well be. Their other snacks are around the $3 price range so nothing outrageous. The shop itself is great, there are 4 different rooms for you to go sit and work in, I'm a fan of the big one in the back with lots of windows and a sill loaded with plants and magazines. No shortage of outlets so this strikes me as a spot great to go camp out and study in.

I have been to the other location at Roosevelt Collection many times so I thought I would stop here since it is closer to home. I ordered the latte and it amazingly smooth and very flavorful. The interior is very cozy and warm. Will definitely be back!! Support local businesses :)!

Yesterday, Jan 5th, I was watching WTTW Ch 11 and they were running a recap show of places to try. This was one of them. The way the owner talked and described how they roast all kinds of different coffees ON SITE made me curious. I went to their website and they described SEVERAL different kinds of coffees from various locales they were CURRENTLY serving up. I made the trip SPECIFICALLY for the "Mayor's Blend" and another Artisanal coffee called Miraville...both were described as having flavor notes from "creamy" "Sweet" "Caramel"...etc. Both types were sourced from El Salvador... So, this morning, I head down there, go inside and order the coffee...only to be told...all we have today is "Guatemala"... huh? I said...your website states all these coffees ...wheres the El Salvador Mayors Blend? Again... she says...yeah...but all we are offering today is Guatemala. Im TOTALLY CONFUSED...she NOTICES THIS and OFFERS ZERO ASSISTANCE OR EXPLANATION. Again, me...yeah, but I heard you roast all these coffees ON SITE....This young girl couldnt have cared less, offered ZERO reason as to why ONE TYPE OF COFFEE WAS BEING OFFERED...does this place even sell bags of what I came in for? I wouldnt know, becuz, again...ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS OR INFORMATION...again..the website listed SEVERAL (CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED) kinds of coffee and the TV episode SOLD ME ON THAT FACT...which inspired me to drive and BURN GAS....but yet...Im met with a disinterested millennial offering ZERO explanation. I ordered 2 cups (had a guest with me) This cost me $5 for 2 cups of coffee...is a free refill offered?...WHO KNOWS? I go to the PATHETIC coffee "station" to add the cream...wow...this was a sorry excuse for offerings to add stuff to your coffee. We sat down..took a sip ...GACK!!! When I asked the girl at the counter what were the flavor notes...she said...bright & citrus...NO WAY!!!! If this coffee had citrus notes..it was smokey tobacco leaves soaked in citrus! Both of us were only able to drink barely half....the inside of mouth tasted like I smoked a cigar. This swill was nastier than a cup of Dark Roast STARBUCKS ..it tasted like an overcooked French Roast... but even SB will give you a choice of Breakfast Blend, Dark Roast, etc...this joint?...remember.."Guatemala" take it or leave it! Hopefully the owner reads this and gets to the bottom of what happened here..becuz...NO WAY did my experience NOR THEIR EXPLANATION GIVEN BY HIM ON THE TV SHOW NOR THE WEBSITE REFLECT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM WHAT TRANSPIRED HERE. SAD...

Coffee was pretty bad. It tasted just like star bucks. I gave it three different attempts and each time it tasted like Starbucks. I won't be going back

Some of the best coffee in Chicago!!! Staff is friendly, and service is always good! And even better it's not as expensive as some other hip coffee shops!

Admittedly I'm not a true coffee drinker, but I will occasionally enjoy a mocha or frappuccino. That being said Bridgeport Coffee is pretty good. I've never had an issue with service and the beverages are well made. Not sure where they source the pastries, but they're good too. If you order the Apple Fritter ask them to warm it up. ..makes all the difference.

Probably the best coffee shop in Chicago and that's saying a lot! Bridgeport Coffee is centrally locates at 31st and Morgan, across the street from Maria's. Their coffee menu is vast and always updated with more caffeine goodness. They have various baked goods and small sandwiches which are also great. Bridgeport Coffee is always full of people, studying, working or just chatting, great community feel! The staff here is also always friendly and welcoming!

Came in this morning to support small local business & buy some gift cards. CUTE coffee house, Christmas decorations are adorable. Warm, inviting atmosphere and very clean. Finding free street parking was not a problem. Staff are very friendly (even when my 3 yo granddaughter spilled her hot chocolate). Will definitely be back. JoD
