Stopping by Bricks & Scones was the greatest way to start my week! First, they have endless seating options from the giant front partially shaded patio to the cafe, side patio, and upstairs seating! The staff was super friendly and helped me sort through their large menu. Coffee tea and sweet treats available in addition to sandwiches salads and soups. Highly recommend this Larchmont Gem ✨

My friend found this place online and suggested that we have breakfast here. I got an iced americano and a breakfast bowl. Both were delicious! The breakfast bowl had the perfect amount of food for me to stay full until early dinner. The only downside was that it was definitely a challenge to find paid street parking as they don't have a parking lot. I had to make several u-turns just to find a spot.

First of all, they have a pretty big parking lots! Perfect for parking!! And there are many seats both indoors and outdoors. Good vibes. Good for remote work, study and reading books. If you look at the name here, you'll know, the scone is really good. And this chicken breast sandwich was good as well. I would recommend sourdough for bread! This sandwich is quite large so you can share it with two ppl.

The entrance has music going (not crazy loud) and they have like a loft above, but if you go in towards the back, the music feels fairly quiet. Low lighting ambiance. Very nice. I had a wonderful Wednesday! The coffee was so tasty- sea salt caramel latte! It’s little bit sweet at the bottom, make sure you mix them well! The Chicken sandwich was delicious too and a good portion:) We also had one matcha scone, fig scone and earl gray scone!!

The perfect European-themed cafe / study spot. I feel like a modern day Belle studying and eating at this cafe. The cafe has two stories. Both have ample seating. First floor’s temperature is a lot cooler and there’s a nice breeze (good for the summer heat). The second floor is more stuffy, but it is quieter and more individualized so you can focus on work. There’s plenty of NICE seating outside too, where you can work or chitchat. The menu is very diverse ranging from drinks to whole meals. I always get their bottomless iced tea which is around $7, and you can refill it however many times you please. I’ve had their earl grey scone (couldn’t taste much earl grey but you see the tea leaves in there) and matcha white chocolate scone with jam and butter - solid 3.5/5. I’d get it again because it’s simple and easy to eat. I also tried the breakfast quesadilla which was pretty good 4/5! For lunch later, I tried the chicken pesto sandwich was really delicious 4.8/5. Their side of salad is pretty yummy too. Their menu is very captivating, and I definitely want to come back to try more. Parking is street meter parking. Service is very friendly. Atmosphere is perfect.

I love this place, their desserts menu, and atmosphere. The reason why I reviewed this cafe with 1 star bc I ordered a salad and a caterpillar came out in the salad. I talked to them but they just said “ew” 🫤 and didn’t respond that much. I think this cafe should pay more attention to cleanliness and food condition. Be careful with the salad, but the scones are delicious.

This café located on Larchmont Boulevard in Los Angeles has been in this spot for quite some time. It's a two-story café where you can purchase your desired drink and snack from the counter right at the entrance and then sit anywhere you like. It's always not crowded here, making it a perfect quiet café for reading alone or studying. All drinks containing espresso are of high quality, and the simple meal menu, including scones, is also excellent. If you want to spend some quiet time in a café, I recommend this place.

Ambience is first for me. I check out a review of coffee houses in some neighborhood I am about to visit, and I read all the stuff about how their coffee is the best-tasting in the whole world or not so great. But all I want is something that tells me: Do they have seats that are comfortable to sit in for hours while I'm getting my writing done, and is the environment lovely? They post 1001 photos of their cups of coffee, and all I'm looking for is photos showing the ambience. Bricks and Scones is about as close as I can get to being out in nature while getting work done in the big city, and there is a pile of cushions in a bin by the door. The workers. treat me like a friend. And, by the way, their fig and rosemary scones are great. What more could I ask for? Time spent in Bricks and Scones is definitely worth the two bus rides each way for me to get there.

Bricks & Scones is just a block away from the hustle and bustle of Larchmont Village, located on the quieter part of Larchmont Blvd. It's a spacious, two-story establishment that's perfect for doing work, grabbing brunch, or even playing board games. And, of course, some world-class scones. I didn't get scones during my visit, but I did order a tiramisu latte: it came beautifully prepared and it tasted exactly like a tiramisu: rich, creamy, and earthy in its coffee flavor-- definitely like eating dessert! Service was a bit standoffish, but I did appreciate them offering the Wifi password to do some work inside. Overall, a cute cafe with decent drinks-- I hope to return to try the scones next time!

They're known for their scones (obviously)!!! I tried the matcha scone and liked it a lot. My boyfriend got the lemon muffin which was okay. The scone was a great texture and flavor but lemon muffin was a bit sweet for us. Most people were working on their laptops or studying so it's not too great of a place to catch up. There is plenty of seating outside and indoors. The architecture of this place was so nice.

Located in larchmont village, this coffee shop has an outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating, including a second floor. Great place to come to do work. I got an almond milk latte which was pretty good and I had to get a scone, given the name! I got the fig & rosemary scone. I wouldn't even consider myself a scone person but wow, I thought this was so good! It wasn't dry at all and had a great unique flavor. I would definitely come back to try others the next time I'm in the area.

Fans of scone!! You must come here!! This place has some of the best scones in LA. Crispy on the outside and plush and buttery on the inside. The rosemary fig flavor is to die for! I also tried the earl grey, which could have had a stronger earl grey flavor but it's all good. I can also report that they make a solid cappuccino, which I think is very telling of good coffee in general. The vibes of this place are perfect for meeting someone or working/studying. There is lots of seating inside and a beautiful patio with lots of seating outside too. It has the ambiance of a quaint bookstore without having any books. Service was great.

Cute little spot that's walking distance from the main street in Larchmont! Lots of seating available and seems like a cozy spot for working or chilling out! The coffee was pretty good too!

Haven't been here in a long time but I decided to stop by since it was nice out. WiFi works a lot better now (even if you sit outside in the back patio). I had a decaf americano and an egg avocado sandwich. The salad on the side was good as well as the sandwich. Nothing super special about it except that it was filling. It is a little loud music wise inside so if you decide to spend some time working there, it wouldn't be conducive for zoom meetings or anything. Otherwise a very nice place with nice baristas.

On lovely Larchmont. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. A variety of pastries, which they will heat up for you (if they don't offer it, you can always ask). Got the veggie wrap, which was tasty. Regular latte was also good. Also tried the macha scone, and the cappuccino mocha coffee cake. Both were good. But the coffee cake was definitely worth it. I find scones just dry, but that's a personal preference. Typical metered street parking since this is Larchmont. Close walking distance to all the other shops and restaurants in the area. There were book groups, many people with laptops working, and even an animator drawing dogs as they were walking in.

Love this place!! Has plenty of seating upstairs downstairs and outside! Great place to work/study. Coffee was good could've been bigger. Next time I ask for no room. Parking is a nightmare. Park in neighborhoods or pay on the street.

The best scones I've had in LA. So buttery and soft-make sure to ask for them warmed up! I especially loved the fig and rosemary scone. The cafe has old library vibes. Huge, quiet space with lots of tables. It's the perfect place for getting some work done. Street parking, but away from the busier part of Larchmont. If I were to base the review on the scones only, this would easily be a 5 star place. The coffee cake was really sweet and mushy though. The sandwiches I saw others ordering looked kind of limp and sad too. Also, everything is served on disposable paper plates, which cheapens the feel of the place, but not a deal breaker. Come for the scones only!

"Sticks and Stones may beak your bones" but Bricks and Scones will never fail you. Nice spot with a variety of scones and muffins. Pecan braid was very flavorful and this is one of the few places around that serve a blueberry lemon scone. Haven't tried anything else as of yet but love the quaintness of this place and always great to have fresh pastries Will stop by again to truly sample other offerings.

Excellent breakfast from Bricks & Scones this morning in Larchmont Village. Their double espresso is so bold and delightful. Perfectly perked me up for the day with great flavor. For my main, I had the bacon, egg and cream cheese everything bagel. Perfection in a breakfast! Ingredients all went together well in a toasty warm breakfast sandwich. I also ordered their chocolate chip cookie and loved it. I can be so finicky because my bias makes me think *I* make the best chocolate chip cookies, LOL! Their version is huge, full of choco bits and has the perfect combo of being chewy and crumbly. Absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious! Cute cafe with indoor and outdoor space, wifi connection so you can get some work done and great drinks & eats. I'm all in on Bricks & Scones!

Overall: Amazing spot, I'm so glad I stumbled upon it! Food: I ordered the sea salt caramel latte and it was so delicious I can't stop thinking about it. Both the drink and food menu were quite extensive and there were some options I could choose from that would accommodate my gluten-free dietary restriction. Ambiance: This place is so beautiful. It feels like you're in an old, cozy library. There are tons of tables and desks to work at (both on the ground floor, second floor, and the outdoor patio space) with lots of outlets available inside. The absolute perfect spot to get work done! As much as I really enjoy their matcha scone, their staff is so unfriendly and stoic. I thought it was just that one girl, but nope. I visited three more times, and all were different staff members, yet all of them were unfriendly. Customers are actually the ones who make the ambiance great.

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE COFFEE PLACE to have my quiet time, work, have alone time. It's quiet and spacious so you can select where you want to sit depending on the vibe for the day. The lattes are great. They're my go to. The tomato soup is really delicious too! I really don't want this place to become mainstream but it definitely should business wise. I just want to keep this gem to myself. The staff is great and they're always friendly. Maybe a punch card for those of us who frequent the cafe? Ha just me wanting another latte.

Pretty tasty with lots of seating! It was giving dark academia, cottage core vibes. My food was a bit on the eggy side (like, there was a lot of egg) but the coffee was delicious. I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a chill place to study.

Hidden gem in Larchmont! My fave local coffee shop to get work done! It has so many different workspaces and the vibes are always amazing. Everything's super cute inside and out on the patio. The lattes and cappuccinos are so good! I haven't had their food, only croissants which were great! The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the crowd is always good.

It was a nice, peaceful day and I figured it would be best to get things done at a coffee shop since they are usually my go-to spots when I cannot get work done at home. I went earlier in the year when there were more health protocols in place and I appreciate the care the staff put in to make this a safe place to go to. I ordered a breakfast burrito along with whole wheat toast and salad. I was pretty hungry and felt that something like this would be just right, and this meal truly was magnificent. It gave me the energy to finish what I had to work on and to top it all off, a small Caramel Macchiato, and a Matcha White Chocolate scone were wonderful supplements for this breakfast. I was able to sit at a table beside an outlet and saw that the tables had some type of protective glass between customers who were all wearing masks. I would certainly come back since I enjoyed this cozy shop!

Updating my review after a few years of hiatus. I met here recently with a couple of classmates so we could do some work together, and it was overall a nice, central location for us to meet. The café was not busy on a Saturday morning, and we were relieved we could find seating at a bigger table for us. Pretty dim inside, I wish there were more lighting, but overall I can't complain. The Wi-fi could have been better though. I was mostly writing an essay, so I didn't really use the internet too much, but my classmate left early because it was too slow for him. We each ordered a latte and some food (the menu seemed quite extensive) and finished our food throughout our stay. The food was OK, coffee was strong-ish. I ordered the chocolate chip muffin and really enjoyed it. A regular iced latte + choco muffin = $10 or so, not bad. The outside/patio area is really pretty, filled with greenery. I would have probably studied out there if the weather was warmer. Good space to just enjoy your coffee and hang with friends though. All in all, I still really love Bricks & Scones when there's seating available. I also gotta remind myself to bring an extra jacket and blanket for the next time because they really be cranking up the air inside. We were all wearing jackets, and it was still so cold I started sneezing lol. I guess they don't want the customers getting too comfortable, then they'll never leave and stay all day huh.

The best spot to catch up with your friends over quick and delicious food. This restaurant has outdoor and inside seating. Plus several tables where you could work as well. The toast is delicious and their juices are exquisite as well.

Update: this place is great. Baristas are super nice, the drinks are pretty good, and the scones are great. The food is... healthy, so it won't satisfy your greasy breakfast sando cravings, but I don't usually come for the food options. They've reduced the volume of the music, so the ambiance is awesome.

I think where this place really excels is in creating a really cozy atmosphere. I went in expecting to have yummy food but was a little disappointed because everything lacked flavor. I will say my rose tea was very tasty and I would recommend this spot for the drinks and a vibe but it's not somewhere I'd recommend for the food.

Cute and nice indoor. Nice stuff. Quite, peaceful atmosphere. We were here for breakfast. Chews and ham sandwich& 3 scrambled eggs with avocado. They give only one slice of sourdough. Wow, literally a diamond in the rough for student/work people. A coffee shop heaven one in all spot. This cafe is a two story, front and back yard patio to eat and enjoy coffee or food while you work or study. Service is quick food is good and a few scattered outlets for laptops and chargers are available.

Food was decent but when it got delivered 20 minutes late it was cold, they amounts of food were small. Granted It was very good even though it was cold. They also did not put in my burrito and there were no utensils

This is a great spot to get some work done in a cafe. There is a great selection to choose on the menu. This location has a large patio & garden where you can dine in and outdoors with the sun. This cafe is a 2 story so there is plenty of space to sit and work. As for the service, food comes out quick so does drinks. Staff are friendly with recommendations too. The scones aren't too bad either but my favorite would be the Matcha White Chocolate. It's crispy, nice and isn't too overpowering. The foods that I had was the Blueberry Scone, Matcha White Chocolate Scone, Lemon Muffin, and the English Rose Tea. The aroma of the tea was powerful so it covered the flavor. The Lemon Muffin was very lemony which was a little overwhelming. But overall, a good place to come and get coffee from and hang out.

Passed this little gem on the way home today and had to stop in. The menu had options for any café craving you might have but we couldn't decide what we wanted. Giovanni was so kind and helped us through the menu. We ended up getting an egg ham and jack croissant panini, a white chocolate matcha scone, and a brown sugar latte. The service was great and everything was delicious. There was garden patio seating in the front, some outside seating in the back, and the inside was a cute library lounge vibe. So cozy and cute. Loved this place!

I love bricks and scones! I used to sit here during grad school for hours and just recently popped in for a latte. It's just so good!! It's such a unique space with comfy couches and a quiet area. I missed it! The food and coffee are both excellent which explains why it's always so busy!

12/12/21 Will be fair considering the hype is magnanimously over inflated. Ambiance=A- Food= B- Food presentation =C Price=C Customer service=C needs major improvement Super excited because Ive bookmarked this place a long time ago & have passed it several times. My love for cute & endearing places abound. What a huge, no, major, maybe monumental letdown! My stomach weeps a river full of disappointments. I wanted to really love this place. I went in with a positive heart & mind but was soon greeted with negativity as I approached the counter to order. In front of me, a gentleman who spoke at length with the cashier (I tried not to listen as I snapped photos for later use) took his time-as if no one else is patiently waiting behind him-just a person in her crutches who needed to rest her leg, soon. Finally he walks away. I smiled & greeted the cashier & the lady standing behind him. He says, "Cash only for now!", no, Hi, no acknowledgement, no smile, just a frustrated & flustered look about him & it was downhill from there. Maybe it's the B team or since it's Sunday, training day? I was famished & wanted to try their eggs benedict (the true test of any self respecting establishment that puts it on the menu). I inquired if they have options & he looks at me with this face that shouts (Don't you know?!), as he says, & points at a menu tucked in front of me. Did not hand it over but I took it. And by now I was being tested & I asked with an even toned voice..."unless you don't know anything about the menu?" He must've noticed that I was beginning to get heated & he took the menu and looked it over. I'm guessing he didn't know either. Since he's not a server, cant fault him for not knowing what their restaurant serves. Perhaps rebooting the cash register so he can take my order & charge instead of taking 'cash only' DID impact his ability to be mindful of his customer service manners. After that painful exchange, I was about to walk away & asked if we get a number & one another staff pointed at the pager that the cashier left on the counter. Oh. You order, pay, get a pager, look for a seat, wait. Luckily the food didn't take long, hubby picked up our eggs benedict (one ham, one salmon) and regular small coffee , diet Coke. $50. On paper plates & cup. Now am wishing we had either gone to Starling Diner in LB or Number 3 in Laguna. This experience will stay with me a while, like a bad haircut & pictures for posterity. B&S, you disappoint me. Two things that saved it from a 2 star, the fact the eggs were actually perfectly poached, & the mixed berry scone, nothing else. The hollandaise was bland & cold. My tastebuds were truly underwhelmed. The coffee was okay but weak. The parking situation is not favorable (street only). The staff are apathetic, shows no appreciation for its customers. There are better places for really good food with a cute ambiance & staff who can at the very least pretend that they appreciate the customers who patronize the establishment that employs them. Not Bricks & Scones. Just hype.

Met a friend for morning hang. Lots of good snacks on the menu. We had baked goods, matcha and a smoothie. All great. I'd go back for a full breakfast, they have an extensive menu. The selling point of this sneaky treasure is the lovely shady green, green patio. So great! Lots of plants and space and vibes. Everyone was so friendly, the patrons seemed lulled into happy by the lush big outdoor space. Lots of greenery and open space really make this spot a winner. I'd go back anytime with my laptop for an outdoor work coffee/Matcha sesh.

If you are in the Larchmont village area and you'd like a reasonably priced place to eat or rest, this is it! Their scones (check out the unique flavors!) and teas are great ways to get reenergized without breaking the bank. Meals like egg Benedict are also reasonably priced- closer to the $10 end than $20 end, which is what you'd find in most other restaurants in this area. Be prepared to self-serve and eat with plastic utensils, however. A number of different and interesting spaces inside and outside - nothing luxe or high end but good enough for a quick meal or getting some work done; maybe hard to find a spot as they are usually quite popular. One great thing about them is easy parking- they are located a couple blocks away from the most popular areas so street parking is often available. That, sometimes, can make or break your day!

If I were rich, I'd live in Larchmont Village. Why not? Kind of a cross between Silver Lake and Wilshire with a cute bookstore, ice cream shop and cafes. And maybe my favorite is the Bricks & Scones cafe with hidden writing spots where wannabe screenwriters plot alien invasions, and outdoor tables where old women with delicate jewelry bring their dog Delilah, who sniffs out the phony producers who complain loudly about how their project was so damn close to getting green-lit (shucks) while yelpers write run on sentences. Despite all these Hollywood shenanigans, which I kinda enjoy, Bricks and Scones is a fun little cafe with a giant chandelier above a spiraling staircase that leads to the aforementioned hidden writing nooks. Just don't get caught under it during the next earthquake. The kitchen has some tasty options, especially now since the weather is so dang nice.

Such a friendly, welcoming, place! My personal favorites are the matcha lattes and scones. I also highly recommend getting the tea service as well. So many places to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery. I have a hard time staying focused (thank you ADHD) but at Bricks & Scones, I get all my work done with no problem. Could not praise this place enough!

Looking for the perfect place in Larchmont Village for an afternoon coffee meeting? Maybe you just want a place with great atmosphere, great food and great coffee. If so, do yourself a favor and run to Bricks & Scones.

A cute place to catch up with a friend over coffee as they have a lot of outdoor patio spaces. I would love to go work there one day but I heard the wifi is not great. Coffee was a little overpriced but that's LA for you! I ordered a caramel latte and scone that were both mediocre. The employee who was taking my order seemed very annoyed and not welcoming or helpful. Overall, a cute but mediocre coffee shop.

This review is based solely on a gluten-free Chewy Roll and caramel macchiato made with oatmilk that I had delivered by DoorDash. The caramel macchiato was, to my taste, perfect. It was a well constructed latte made with lightly frothed and fresh tasting oatmilk. There was just enough caramel to add a caramel flavor and a bit of sweetness. I could taste all of the elements of the drink--espresso, oatmilk and caramel--and they were well balanced. I chose this restaurant primarily to try the Chewy Roll. I am a gluten intolerant fan of baked goods and I enjoy exploring unique, house made GF pastries. I was impressed by the Chewy Roll. Wheat affords baked goods structure, texture, flavor, protein and other qualities that are difficult to replicate without wheat. There is no single alternative ingredient that can take the place of wheat, so bakers who create gluten-free breads are forever experimenting to develop recipes that taste good and have good structure and texture. The Chewy Roll is a non-sweet, round crusty roll that resembles a pistolet roll with an airy, chewy interior similar to a popover. Garbanzo flour adds protein and complexity of flavor, while black sesame seeds balance the garbanzo flour's metallic notes. The Chewy Roll was a delicious accompaniment to my coffee, both plain and with strawberry preserves.

I'll have a Chai Latte and a Chewy roll please.. probably not the best things to drink and eat before going to the dentist but oh well - I just can't help it LOL Bricks & Scones has become my go to place every time I am at the Larchmont Village area, yes I know there's that nice Bagel place across the main drag but I warmed up to this local neighborhood spot and its cozy al fresco café feel (especially when your dentist office says "we're still working on a patient", are you ok to wait another 10 minutes?") they have a lovely patio setting which is quite nice, an outdoor setting perfect for the covid-social distancing climate. The staff here are very nice, order turn around is pretty quick, the hot bevies are really hot---as in boiling water from hell hot, so be careful and make sure to have those cup sleeves on! Overall, I really like this place and definitely a spot I'll come back to when I'm in the area.

Great for scones and nice outdoor dining patio but wouldn't return for anything else. The scones were buttery and crumbly, yet crispy on the outside. We spent about $45 for a breakfast we could have made at home. I would have rather gone to Go Get 'Em Tiger, down the street, which is our normal breakfast spot the my toddler loves. -The coffee drinks (latte and cappuccino) were light on the coffee flavors. -You have to order eggs in 1 or 3, not 2, which was weird. -The avocado toast was regular store-bought bread with smashed avocado on top and a slice of tomato garnish. (At Go Get 'Em, it's dressed with a spicy sauce, and topped with micro greens some pickled radishes.)

My favorite place on Larchmont Blvd. Good coffee, gorgeous patio, great paninis, quiet and cozy interior space great for studying and working. There are few places like this left these days. Reminds me of what cafés used to be like...the good old days. It's nice to support a local place like this rather than a chain. Planning to make this my regular hangout.

Needed some breakfast and stopped here hoping for something somewhat healthy. Got the breakfast egg sandwich which totally hit the spot. I was pleasantly surprised that is came with a small side salad! Service was quick and friendly, food was hot and vibe was chill. Perfect
