Briarpatch Restaurant

My husband and I visited Briarpatch Restaurant for brunch with friends, and it was such a delightful experience! The place was quite busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table, but the outdoor seating made up for it—it had such a cozy and charming vibe. Although the tables and space were a bit small, it added to the intimate atmosphere. Parking was a bit challenging, but it was worth it. Now, onto the food—everything was absolutely delicious! I had the raspberry lemon cream pancakes, and they were heavenly—fluffy, tangy, and perfectly sweet. Paired with a cup of coffee, it was the perfect start to the day. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the Chicken Caesar Salad was well-balanced and satisfying. we’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Came to have brunch with mi coworker 11/15/2024 @ 11 am. The place was packed from end to end the atmosphere in this restaurant is absolutely amazing, it is a little to loud for my licking, place it is a little tight as well but it does not matter cause the service and food it is absolutely worth it, we got lucky and we didn’t have to wait for a table, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, beautiful place inside decoration tables are very cute, the food is to died for the zucchini bread is warm with walnuts and a generous amount of cream cheese in the center. Spinach goat cheese & sausage omelette is delicious great combination with spinach egg whites and melted cheese huge portions, I ate two days out of this omelette, cheese grits are warm seasoned just enough with a great amount of cheese delicious, the biscuits was toasted to perfection golden color. Highly recommend this place!

Candidly, I think the food is good but overpriced and overhyped. Solid eggs and pancakes but not worth the price. Our pancakes barely had any chocolate chips or nuts in them and the ones they did have were all clumped in the middle so most of the pancakes didn’t have the features. Also, the waffle was quite dry. Service was solid and nice atmosphere! If prices were 30% less then I’d say pretty good but only 4 stars for now.

The food was excellent, and our server Natalie was very friendly and attentive. However, the restaurant itself felt quite small and cramped. My sister decided to switch her lemonade for an orange juice because she didn’t like the taste, but when we received the bill, we were surprised to see we had been charged $4 for the lemonade we sent back, and an additional $5.50 upcharge for a small orange juice. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice the charges were incorrect until after we had already left.

The food was absolutely exquisite, bursting with flavors that danced on the palate, and the presentation was a visual feast that had your mouth watering even before you took your first bite. Each dish was artfully arranged, showcasing vibrant colors and intricate garnishes. The servers were not only friendly but also exuded warmth and courtesy, making you feel welcomed and attended to throughout your dining experience.

Love this place!!! My mom and I had brunch at the restaurant and it was surprisingly full on a Friday. It’s a quaint establishment nestled in the heart of Park Ave. You can’t miss the large yellow table umbrellas in front of the restaurant. Luckily, it was a brief wait. We had an amazing spirited server that knew the menu inside out. He was patient in explaining the different dishes. I was sold even more when he explained that the restaurant made all the food fresh and it was authentic. I ordered French toast that tasted nothing like French toast from other establishments. That is the BEST French toast I ever tasted. I also order the omelette that was simply divine. I wished more stars could be given out!!!

I chose this place for brunch amongst friends as it was suggested and I'm so happy everything turned out well. The restaurant gets very busy and they have a reservation system for you to reserve a table which is very helpful. Overall, my experience was pleasant and I look forward to dining here again!

Our Server, Lucy, is model gorgeous & was super smily & friendly which was nice… unfortunately the service wasn’t too good. Took way too long for our orders to be taken- even after we’d been addressed & served drinks with our Server constantly being nearby. We had a fly that kept us company while anxiously waiting to order… he insisted on swarming our table & perching itself on top of each cup on the table. Our coffee was forgotten & took too long to arrive even after reminding. The sticky bun we wanted to try didn’t arrive bf the food & most my latte was gone even if it had arrived… so I cancelled it after the food had gotten there first. The latte was probably the most burnt & harsh tasting that I’ve had in a very long time- disappointed with that since we’re coffee lovers. Ordering was odd in that we wanted to swap out Colby Jack cheese for Cheddar since my daughter prefers that over the spicy version on the turkey sandwich & our son didn’t want any remoulade or veggies on his Po Boy but these requests to hold some items or swap spicy for mild seemed to be too much. Instead our son just ordered a waffle bc the reaction to holding some things proved to short circuit our server… We were celebrating a bday today & this just made it awkward for those in our party that just wanted to enjoy their food. Our Server had to depart from our table to see if she was allowed to ask if items on a sandwich could be left off. What do ppl with special diets or actual allergies have to go thru when ordering here- our few requests were simple!!! And ranch for fries that “will be an up charge” (which is fine) but it didn’t arrive- until we had to request it again… I don’t know, overall, this just seemed like a very subpar experience for a meal. We’d had a reservation for 5 & mentioned it was a bday… but there wasn’t anything mentioned even after I reminded our server. The worst part was- feeling like we’d been passed over multiple times, not getting numerous items we’d ordered… it just felt off, possibly intentional? And overall the food was tasty- but we all considered leaving bf we ordered just due to how long it took for our orders to be taken & how loud/echo-y it was inside. I don’t imagine we’ll make an attempt to come back here bc the service was just awful… some of the worst we’ve had in a long while. And while a smile & being friendly is So important- forgetting to take orders & get drinks/food to the table is really bad & makes for a frustrating meal.
