"The North Hollywood brunch pop-up (a.k.a. The “Home of the Basturma Breakfast Burrito”) is donating 100% of their weekend proceeds to the Armenia Fund. Call or text (818) 818-8307 to order, check their Instagram for updates." - kat hong
"While those in the know will argue that The Bread Lounge is "Arts District Adjacent," we think this corner and its neighbors (see Stumptown) are worth the extra block walk. This bakery supplies pastries and bread for many of local businesses, including Stumptown, Urban Radish and Blacktop Coffee. It's easy to see why, with their creations sitting in their display cases, ready to be eaten. The stop has Stumptown coffee as well as artful sandwiches and flatbreads if you're swinging by for lunch. Check out the bakers in the back; their industrial kitchen is constantly filling orders for their goods." - verynice
"Croissants may not be the first thing that comes to mind when hearing “Bread Lounge,” but they should be. Located in the heart of the Arts District, this bakery churns out some outstanding laminated baked goods. Go for the classic croissant at this 12-year-old bakery, one stuffed with ham and cheese or a sweet pain au chocolat." - Eater Staff
"The Arts District’s best-kept (gluten-related) secret, Bread Lounge serves superb, affordable bread, bagels, challah, and pastries. And along with traditional loaves like olive, poppyseed, and potato and rosemary (all less than $5), they’ve also got a bunch of sweeter breads, too, like hazelnut espresso, cinnamon walnut, and, of course, banana. For menus and ordering information, check their website. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
