Bread + Butter | Cafe

A delightful cafe with a wide selection of house-made pastries with good coffee. I stopped in for a pastry and coffee before flying out of Launceston later in the day. It was just what I needed for a quick coffee and a light breakfast. The selection of pastries was great and we really enjoyed the taste. The highlight was the Pain aux Raisin which was crunchy on the outer layers, but soft and moist within the inner layers. The dining space is nice, being in a renovated historic building. There are limited seats inside as well as a number of tables and chairs outside. Be aware that prices are a little high, and there are surcharges on weekends as well as a card payment surcharge too.

Very fancy bakery selling delicious pastries. I had a plain croissant and a walnut croissant. Oh man, they are so yummy. The plain croissant is very flaky and buttery. The walnut croissant is just perfect. It is fairly pricy but worth the try.

We visited this cafe due to its high comments and reputation , and we were not disappointed . I tried walnut croissant with coffee and it was so delicious . Walnut is crunchy , croissant is tasty and rich in flavor . Although I did not see so many choices of cakes …

5 words to describe this place - omg, the bread and butter!! 🤤 We've seen a few of their locations sprinkled around Launceston, so we knew that we had to come here and we weren't disappointed. Bread and butter takes pride in making sure the foundations of your meal - the bread and butter - are absolutely perfect. To call it delicious is a disservice; it's carb-heaven. Every meal was subsequently perfect and paired great with their coffees and juices. Combine that with ingredients and sauces which can be purchased on site (another thing I'm a sucker for) and you have one of my favourite breakfast places The thing you need to be prepared for is that they sell out of things, which they tell you themselves. It's the curse of popularity and making things fresh. Get here early, that's my advice; also, definitely take a croissant with you

Bread + Butter is a great bakery that Launceston is lucky to have. The vibe was buzzing, and the kimchi toastie I tried was delicious. We visited on one of the busiest summer days, and while it was a bit chaotic, the quality of the croissants more than made up for it. 🤌🏼🥐

First food stop since arriving into Tassie. Pastry is very oily not the style I like but the flavour of the filling was delicious for the steak n pepper pie. Vegetarian sausage roll was delicious advised by the wife.

Prices are ridiculous, staff are rude. $6.50 for less than half an avocado. $10.40 for two pieces of bread… Saw another commenter say: “ And the prices? Hoo boy. If you enjoy paying gourmet prices for toast with a side of neglect, this is your place.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. Edit: is this not the right establishment? …so you owe me a solid refund? I didn’t even have butter. Photos attached.

Stopped in for brekkie after flying in from Melbs, and I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the fried eggs on toast were probably the best I’ve ever had. Simple but done really well and just what I needed after getting off a 6am flight! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
