"The tiny Bourdelle Museum was once the atelier and home of sculptor Antoine Bourdelle, whose monumental art deco masterpieces are a highlight ofthe Champs-Élysées Theater. The museum displays works the artist purchased for his own inspiration, as well as his own largest pieces in an airy, light-flooded hall, an open-air gallery, and a sculpture garden. In aworkshop area, the process of casting bronze sculptures is demonstrated. A tiny rose garden with lounge chairs providesa welcoming oasis to neighbors and visitors. This is the ideal museum for giving young children afirst taste of fine art and for those who like art in small doses."
It's a small but impactful museum with lots of huge sculptures that i did not see at many ther museums, the Hercules Archer one being the most prominent display here. The audio guide app was good, except for the fact that it was difficult to follow the order of displays on the app when choosing the full museum tour . The museum is well maintained, ample cooling, and portable seats available, so didn't feel tired. Ts located at a residential area so very quite too

A wonderful museum set on the artist’s studio. The entry is free of charge. There is a cafe with a terrace in the upper level. The collection of monumental sculptures, smaller works, sketches and plaster works is amazing. The artists studio is still as it was during his life. The gardens are lovely and display some of the large works. A fabulous museum for an important artist.

Beautiful museum, the hall of plasters has an ethereal atmosphere. Wonderful to see the workshop of the artist. I also liked the attention there is for his students and the way he teached them.

An outstanding, small yet mighty museum in a quiet neighbourhood. A wonderful cafe and a busy weekend crowd make this a special place for a Sunday morning.

Beautiful museum that shows the whole process of sculpting, organized so that you can just enjoy your stroll or read/listen in depth to the information, somewhere i would want to return many times. The cafe looks so cute too!

Nice little and free museum. Studio of the painter and atelier are really interesting with all the works of art he was collecting. His sculptures are interesting too. Nice little gardens are there too.

An extraordinary sculpture museum, filled with Bourdelle's monumental works. Excellent videos and displays show how he created. We stumbled upon the museum and spent hours there.

Really a hidden gem. It’s free, the perfect size, and a nice mix of education about sculpture making, incredible art, and history sharing about the location. I went 1.5 hrs before closing on a weekday, and nearly had the place to myself.

Yelp
Lots of excellent bronze statues. Some are huge and imposing
You get to see the process of going from an idea through clay, plaster, scaling and bronze.
I loved the gardens with their works.

Yelp
I love the musee bourdelle. Bourdelle's most recognizable sculpture is Herakles the Archer. He made numerous sculptures based on Greek and Roman figures.
I love the scale and grandeur of the main gallery which is a huge room over 40 ft high filled with bourdelle's monumental works.
I've only visited in the winter where you are alone with a guard and the hum of the heaters. Every move you make echoes. Quiet yourself at the far end and take it all in. It's a room to dream in.
Bourdelle was clearly an influence on Ray Harryhausen when he sculpted the Colossus for Jason and the Argonauts.
The museum is free. Not far from the Montparnasse train station. And just around the corner from the Stardom Shop selling Moebius collectibles.

Yelp
A fantastic museum. The sculptures are astounding. The museum includes the artist's studio, almost intact. It's informative, has a beautiful garden, and is a true treasure. And it's free.
