Magical and luxurious. We stayed for only three nights. Wish it would have been longer. We used the hotel as a launching pad to explore other areas of Tuscany. However, there is no need to ever leave the hotel. Wonderful quiet roads to walk and/or ride bicycles. A beautiful spa and gym. Outdoor and indoor spaces to rest quietly and soak up the peace and quiet offered at every turn. A Michelin rated restaurant (get your reservations in early) and a second restaurant with a tempting menu. A bountiful breakfast is included ... cheeses, fruit, juices, cappuccinos, speciality breads, eggs fixed your way and great service. There is even a chapel on the property. Comfort, luxury and flawless service. A winning combination.

Borgo San Felice is a very special place. We felt the magic the second we arrived at this hotel and never wanted to leave. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the staff was excellent, the amenities (branded slippers, flip flops, notebook, coffee, tea, bottled water, and toiletry products) were all lovely. They include one 50-min session at the thermotherapy spa every day and we definitely took advantage of that a few times. The hotel also helped us book a private off-road wine tour through the heart of Chianti and we enjoyed that very much. The breakfast buffet was all awesome, the salads and sandwiches at lunch were fantastic, and pastas, pizzas, and salads at dinner were absolutely delicious. We ate at the regular restaurant 3 nights and tried the Michelin star restaurant on one night. It was all wonderful. Yes, it's expensive - but we thought the prices weren't totally unreasonable given where we were and the impeccable service. We commented several times throughout our stay that this hotel was absolutely 5 stars in every way. Truly exceptional stay and we can't wait to go back someday.

Borgo San Felice exceeded my expectations for a Tuscan resort. The pool, while stated as 24°C, actually measured 26°C on my Apple Watch—perfect for an October swim. Staff went above and beyond, including a gentleman who cheerfully helped with parking and charging my Model 3, always placing a cold bottle of water for my trips.||The room was well-prepared, with comfortable AC and fresh morning air. Though birdsong fills the air, it’s a charming, welcoming sound. My first Relais & Châteaux stay, it matches ultra-luxe standards, comparable to Amanzoe or Villa d’Este. Highly recommended for a luxurious Tuscan countryside escape.||Hope be back soon!

We visited Tuscany for the first time time and loved this resort. It was originally a village and now the village is a full service resort. The winery is so nice - schedule tastings in advance. The premium suite is very large and extremely nice. We felt very pampered. The breakfast each morning was excellent.

A stellar property in the heart of Tuscany. The Borgo which was a small little town in its past life is simply perfect. It feels quiet and relaxing even in the middle of high season. Our grand suite was incredible; it had a large terrace with a dining table, lounge chairs and sofas with the most beautiful view of the vines and cipreses. My daughter and I enjoying painting there very much; we had fun family dinners in and sunset Negronis. The Grand suite was extremely spacious; large king bedroom; living room, dining room and a perfect twin bedroom in suite for the kids. Felt like our own house with the perks of all the amenities and delicious food and drinks. Food and drinks by the pool and casual restaurant were great and my daughter absolutely loved the gelato. Highly recommend and would love to come back! Thank you Anna and the team for an unforgettable week!

We visit Tuscany regularly and have stayed at some of the finest hotels. But for me, this place is truly at the very top. The owners have purchased an entire medieval village and transformed it into an enchanting hotel, where every guest stays in a charming little house, like something out of a fairytale. The hotel features two wonderful restaurants, exceptionally courteous staff, and—importantly—a fantastic location, making it easy to explore many fascinating sights nearby.

We tried to organize our wedding at Borgo San Felice this past summer, and, frankly, it was quite the ordeal. From the start, we were limited by the number of guests allowed in their small chapel, and any mention of extra guests caused panic. Then, we were told that everyone attending the wedding in the chapel had to stay at Borgo San Felice, which wasn’t ideal and definitely expensive. But we agreed and asked how many rooms were available, booking them all.||A few days later, a dear friend—after I had specifically told her to look elsewhere for accommodation—was able to book a room for several days. How was I supposed to feel about that? I didn’t want her thinking we didn’t want her there. This attention to detail clearly wasn’t a priority for the events department.||Next, we hit a major issue with the wedding cake. Their chef refused to make a real four-tier cake unless we had at least 100 guests, which would cost 4,000 euros. That didn’t sit right with us, so we arranged for a cake from Siena for less than 800 euros, which was excellent. However, Borgo San Felice doesn’t allow outside food or beverages, meaning it was their 4,000-euro cake or nothing.||But the biggest issue? Borgo San Felice couldn’t accommodate a wedding dinner at all. There was no venue on-site that could host more than 20 guests for lunch (a wedding dinner was totally negative), despite the spacious appearance of the property in photos. When I asked for help finding a restaurant off-site for dinner and dancing. It took 10 days for a response (for 20 people), and we ended up doing most of the work ourselves. Shouldn't a relais chateau have a concirge make a phone call to book a venue? When looking for a restaurant for our dinner party we actually found a last-minute venue that was wonderful, but due to the restrictions, we couldn’t invite many of our European friends, because it was too late.||To top it off, they initially refused to refund the rooms when we decided not to stay there. After insistence, they finally agreed to refund 50%, or offered a voucher for 100% of the amount to be used over the next year. A voucher. As if we would ever go. It’s a shame they didn’t immediately offer a full refund after such poor service. In a situation like this, after so many mistakes and miscommunication, have a little class— refund 100% of the cost and offer a free weekend as a gesture of goodwill. |In the U.S., these guys wouldn’t survive six months.|I’m leaving out many more frustrating details, but I simply don’t have the time. My advice? If you’re not ready to host weddings, just don’t. A once-in-a-lifetime event deserves better, we were leaving a good 30K on the table. Probably nothing for Borgo San Felice.

We liked our room, with its large bathroom, although due to the historical nature of the hotel few have balconies. We ate at their simpler restaurant and the food was good.|Despite its lovely position the hotel did not seem to take full advantage of the views, particularly in the pool area.|Breakfast was rather disappointing. We ordered freshly cooked scrambled eggs and bacon from the a la carte menu, but these were simply taken from the warmer in the buffet, and were rubbery and lukewarm. |Apart from that, a good stay overall, but be prepared for an expensive stay, as drinks and food are priced accordingly.
