Seafood lovers, put this place on your list for San Diego. Walk up to the counter to order & pay. Take the number to your table. Parking on the street is challenging, metered & no meters. The oysters were fresh & clean, but on the small size compared to east coast. The clams & mussels were amazing, so fresh & sweet from the ocean. Wish the bread was more rustic like a sourdough bread instead of a soft Italian bread. Ordered 4 fish tacos with 4 different fishes. These were the best - large piece of fresh grilled fish at the bottom & topped with all the goodies. Portions are generous & prices are reasonable. Definitely 2 thumbs up!

4.5/5 stars. Blue Water Serves it up fresh. You choose how you want your fish prepared and in what kind of format— sandwich, taco, or plate. We choose the tacos. Serving sizes are generous. Add some fried calamari or clam chowder for a nice extra. This time we enjoyed halibut, yellow fin, and grouper. It’s hard to go wrong.

This place knows what they’re doing. It’s order at the counter and you don’t order until there is a table available, so we ended up waiting about 45 minutes on a Friday but it was worth it! You can match any fish with any preparation (taco, salad, sandwich, or plate) so there are SO many options. We got the blackened ahi tuna salad, which was cooked perfectly (the homemade blue cheese was excellent), the beer-battered cod and the special taco, and sauteed mussels. Will be back again to try some of the other options! Highly recommend going early.

This place came highly recommended and it was delicious. The portions were great and yes it was pricey but it felt mouth watering fresh. I loved the scallops taco, and the salmon burger was good after a bit of ketchup for me. And I am not a fish person. The staff was nice and patiently went through our items to make sure no beer or wine is used to make it. They also gave to go boxes. They have nice outdoor seating in the side that was perfect and a high chair for my toddler who ate the fish and chips happily.

The food was phenomenal! The cioppino and the tacos (we got the famous track tacos and the beer battered fish tacos) were sooo good. The fish and chips were also really great as was the clam chowder in the bread bowl! The least popular appetizer was the fried calamari but it was because all the other dishes were so delicious! Can't wait to eat here again!

First time here today. Ordered calamari, seared ahi tuna and swordfish tacos. Tacos were good but calamari were not. One star for greasy calamari. Too much batter, overcooked and greasy. I had heartburn shortly. Big no-no to calamari. $20 for greasy is very expensive for that reason. Service was good.

Myself, Friedy, Carmen, and Andrena hit up this wonderful restaurant in San Diego last week. Friedy regularly hits up this place when he goes out on his fishing trips and wanted to share the experience with the rest of us. Folks, this place is a must visit. You pay for your food 1st, and they'll deliver your order to the table you chose to sit at. They have a lovely beer/wine selection and an awesome fresh fish market table you order your entre off of. Their clam chowder is bomb and fish tacos are equally as good. If you're in the area, I recommend this place. Both Carmen and Andrena approved!

What a gem! Great place for fresh sea food, new england clam showder and hearty seafood soup serves as a great comforting starters, tacos are top notch, also the bronzed Scottish Salmon, we practically loved everything, even coleslaw and lemonade were refreshing and fresh. Worth the wait in the long line, and the waiters were fast and very nice. A must try in San Diego.
