Honestly, probably the coolest place for coffee. I don't even want to write this review, because most of us like to gate-keep the things we want to keep as is.
I'm a coffee snob. In KC, I really enjoy coffee from The Roasterie. Mildred's coffee is okay, but it's not worth the hassle of parking downtown. Filling Station, Thou Mayest, and Messenger Coffee are overrated. I could go on. What I expect from a basic, house-blend espresso is a smooth, balanced flavor that isn't too acidic or dark. If dairy is added, the coffee flavor has to still be present!
I ordered a latte (comes with a double shot of espresso) with oat milk, and after my first sip, I was like, "Welp kids, that's it. This is my spot." The coffee is a bit pricey, but if you're able to support a local business, I'd recommend them. The building is gorgeous, there's private/off-street parking on the Woodsweather Rd side, and there's wifi for those looking for a work spot. It's also not super loud, which is great for those that get overstimulated easily.
Keep in mind: at around 10:15 AM on the Monday I went, they ran a vacuum in the area around their roaster. It lasted about 15 minutes. They also seemed to be pretty busy from 10:30 AM to 1 PM.
