This lively watering hole serves up hearty American classics like burgers and wings, with a friendly vibe, sports on TV, and a charming patio for a great time.
"Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar brings part sports bar, part whiskey bar, and part family-friendly restaurant to the former Pot Liquor space across from Yard House. The company that originally opened in Springfield, Missouri, 13 years ago features a menu of American classics from executive chef Ralph Robinette. Diners can find gluten-friendly and vegan items, and the sports bar side of the restaurant features nods to the Vegas Golden Knights and future Las Vegas Raiders. More than 150 whiskeys sit behind the bar, ranging from small batch bourbons and Irish single malts to rye and Canadian whiskeys and blended scotches." - Susan Stapleton
"Since 2017, Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar had plans to bring at least two locations to Las Vegas. The casual American restaurant with roots in Springfield, Missouri, plans to open its first Las Vegas location in the former Pot Liquor space at Town Square in February. The heart of the restaurant, a very large bar, features more than 150 whiskeys on the shelves and 19 beers on tap. At the front, accordion windows overlook the valet circle at the front, while treated whiskey barrels line the space. Drinks named for the Vegas Golden Knights, UNLV Runnin’ Rebels, and future Las Vegas Raiders make the menu, and the possibility of whiskey on tap could bring the cocktail program to the next level. In the rear of the restaurant, Big Whiskey’s retains Pot Liquor American flag on the wall and incorporates it into a private dining room. Dubbed “not a sports bar but celebrating sports,” Big Whiskey’s will be family friendly with seven dishes for the kids and a jukebox for music on the fly. Big Whiskey’s also features a menu of barbecue made in house, as well as pretzel bites and white queso dip, Buffalo wings, salads, wraps, soups, and heartier choices such as New York strip steaks, Bourbon glazed salmon and Caribbean jerk chops." - Susan Stapleton
"Announcing plans last June for two local expansions, Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar has been slow to update the status of its move into Las Vegas, but newly filed paperwork indicates one location is back on track. The casual-dining franchise created in Springfield, Missouri, more than a decade ago will become an anchor tenant on the Las Vegas Boulevard side of the Town Square retail center. Big Whiskey's large corner space has recently filed permits for the construction makeover, currently assigned an estimated budget of $850,000." - Bradley Martin
