Loved best in the west! Great street food style eating just near the hotel we were staying at in Negril. The jerk chicken was soft & grilled to perfection. Would have liked it to be a bit more spicy. My friend enjoyed her oxtail very much. Love that they okay reggae throughout, and it was just nice to sit under the stars in the warm Jamaican air having classic Jamaican food by the wayside

This was a 10/10 experience. It was our one dinner outside of the resort and the location felt very safe and accommodating. It was awesome to leave the walls of the resort and be exposed to some of the beautiful culture in Negril. We hired a driver and the restaurant even called him when we were done for us. The food was authentic, favorable, and a true highlight. We had the jerk chicken and the lobster with the sides. The jerk sauce was the best I ever had. You can take it to go as well. They also have t shirts you can buy. The service was also great and the owner checked on us. They also had patio seating and a piano player!

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. The waitress had an attitude from the start. There was a group of 8 and we asked if we could split the bill. She said that it's easier for us not to split the bill. From a customer perspective, I don't care what's easy for you. You should make it easy for the customer. The better experience, the bigger the tip. We told our waitress it was easier for us to divide it into 2. Our waitress obliged, and then she disappeared for 20 minutes. When we got our drinks, the orders were wrong. We asked for 4 waters and only got 2. The only time she came back was when our food was ready. I asked for extra sauce for my oxtail which I didn't get. Only after asking for it a second time did it finally come out. We had to ask 2 other servers for correct water order. Additionally, the flies are a huge health issue. The servers didn't seem to care that every customer had to deal with an onslaught of flies. The video shows it best. It makes me wonder how clean this restaurant is. If you took too long to swat at the flies, they would have landed on your drink or food. It's rare that I don't leave any tip. But the customer service was pitiful here. If there are no customers, you don't have a business. The wait staff needs to understand that. Sidebar, despite the customer service issues and the flies, the food and drinks were good.

I love the outdoor/street side dining. Our server was polite and helpful. The food was good and very reasonable in price and size. 😋 We ordered jerk chicken, which was done nicely, and the steam fish was so tasty.

We got this recommendation from Captain Jason during our snorkeling excursion earlier in the day. We traveled to Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and Port Antonio - the jerk chicken was the best at this place. Best In The West was delicious at every selection made. My favorite by far was the Oxtail with bammy on the side. If you are passing through Negril, I highly recommended you eat here!

This is a casual restaurant that serves delicious Jamaican food with emphasis on Jamaican jerk dishes. In addition, they have a wide variety of refreshing beverages. I had the jerk pork with rice and peas which was very tasty. I also had a chicken soup that was well seasoned and hearty. The service staff was courteous and professional. I highly recommend patronizing this restaurant when in Negril.

A well known Jerk Chicken shack in Negril, across from the Coco La Palm resort. The food was good. Decent prices. The Jerk Chicken was good, the Jerk Pork was nice and spicy and the Shrimp Curry was tasty. Personally, overall decent food, very similar to a lot of the side street restaurants. The service was great, enjoyed Sabrina’s customer service and friendliness.
