"A Bit of Belgium in the UAE For the beer connoisseur, a stop at the Begian Cafe will have you trying loads of flavors with friends, fellow travellers, and expats. In the wintertime, the outdoor patio opens up to long tables and benches for friends to gather and enjoy the clear skies and gentle Arabian breeze. Monday, the restauarant serves up all you can eat mussels—which is my favorite day to visit. Belgian Cafe celebrates nearly anything from hoildays to a Brew Festival on Tuesdays. They are also popular with their happy hour every day from 4:00pm to 6:00pm."

Belgian Café Abu Dhabi is an absolute favorite! The warm, inviting ambiance paired with waterfront views creates the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The food is consistently delicious—perfectly cooked mussels, crispy fries, and juicy steaks are a must-try. Kids menu also available with perfect selections. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Whether you’re here for a weekend brunch, or dinner with friends, the experience is always top-notch. A true gem for food lovers and a 5/5 across the board for quality, service, and atmosphere. Special thanks for the professional & friendly staff : Swastika Sunita

We initially decided to go here to see a soccer match. The Intercontinental Hotel looked lovely and we expected the food to be excellant. We were so wrong! The pork ribs were delicious but my salmon was swimming in an inch of tastless oil. Slices of potatoes were floating in it and it was tasteless. My husband loves lamb but although he asked for medium rare it was well done and dry. He also left his meal. My friend got a chicken dish that had greasy breaded coating and dry chicken which was awful. Her husband ordered a steak which he enjoyed. We asked for salt and pepper and both had salt in them. This was the worst meal I have had. We were given 25% discount and an apology. We paid and left.

What a gem 💎 The food here is absolutely delicious full of flavor and served in generous portions 🙏 #Head chef 👨‍🍳. The place has such a warm, lively vibe, perfect for relaxing with friends and enjoying drinks. What really made the experience special was the amazing hospitality from Hosh Angie, Gopal, and Sunita. They welcomed every guest with big smiles and took care of everything with such kindness. You can really feel the love they put into the place. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. I'm loving it 💯👌

The Belgian Café at the Intercontinental Hotel is a great spot with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere overlooking the marina. It’s a perfect place to unwind, especially when there’s live entertainment outside adding to the vibe. The selection of Belgian beers is impressive — strong, rich flavors that beer lovers will appreciate. It would be nice, though, to see a few more lighter options added to the menu for those looking for something a bit easier to drink in the heat. Overall, a fantastic place to spend an evening!

We ate here for dinner yesterday, we got the pork festival and mussels. Everything was amazing! From the food, the service and the ambience. Von was excellent, he provided service that is above and beyond! Chef Susan is also the best chef there! The taste has not changed from when we ate there more than 5 years ago. We will always come back and check out Belgian Cafe whenever we visit, it never ceases to impress!

Great place to just chill and have some drinks and enjoy a sporting event on the big screen. The waffles were great didn’t have time to enjoy more than waffles, drinks and some cigars. Great service, very attentive and welcoming.

I ate at Belgian Cafe twice while staying at the Intercontinental Hotel. The food here was pretty average compared to other restaurants at the hotel and in the area. I was pretty surprised at how busy it often was in the evenings and other high ratings. I reserve my High ratings for really amazing food, service, and value. The signature sauce Mussel Pot was actually pretty heavy, too creamy for mussels, and I wish I had ordered something more simple and traditional. The salmon I had on my second visit was much better prepared. In both instances service was unpredictable, as the servers could be attentive one moment, and then overwhelmed by the volume of patrons the next. After my second meal there, I would say it was good, but I did not see any reason to return. I suppose if you enjoy beer and pub food, this restaurant would be more appealing.
