"Store owner & native Venetian Tina Wakino's store is one of the last original & most interesting of Abbot Kinney's eclectic retailers. With an eye for fresh takes on traditional craftsmanship, perusers will find an ever-evolving selection of high-quality, beautifully functioning, contemporary & vintage housewares, garments, accessories & antiques... each with a relevant urban element. Whether it's the new or old that catches your eye, you'll get the vibe that each piece was produced by someone who didn't mind getting their hands dirty." - The Branding Farm

"In addition to being one of the longest-standing shops on Abbot Kinney, Bazar is also one of the most special. Owner Tina Wakino keeps the smallish space packed with antique furniture, textiles, and racks of hard-to-find international brands and vintage pieces for both men and women, then she rounds out the assortment with imported apothecary favorites from Santa Maria Novella and Astier de Villatte. Though small, the children’s section holds incredibly adorable options for giftables and accessories that are unlike anything you might find at a traditional toy store. "

Exceptionally eclectic collections, but chronically understaffed. We've been coming here for years for the wonderful eclectic collection. Service had its ups and downs, as other reviewers have noted. But our recent experience has been wonderful. Lauren has been patient, accommodating, and helpful, but clearly can't handle the entire store alone on a busy weekend. We hope that she'll get help soon, so we can resume shopping here.

I didn’t have a very good shopping experience, they have cool collections but don’t give out a welcoming energy. They answer your questions although not in the most friendly way, which makes me regret my purchase from the store, everything is FINAL SALE! I wouldn’t recommend it or rush back.

The most amazing selection. You know you’re leaving with a special and unique piece when you shop at Bazar. Good price range. The only place I go for gifts.

The people who are giving the bad reviews just need to chill. It's a great store with the Wonderfull workers. Judging on the accent or nationality is not OK. The retail workers are tired, underpaid and exhausted from the clients unreasonable demands. The small shops are hit by shoplifters, homeless and drug addicts all the time. Here is the photo of BAZAR during 2020 riots to give you some perspective of what it is like to be a small shop.

Definitely agree with other reviewers here – the shopkeeper clearly doesn’t want return customers. In my short visit, the person working (long, brown hair with straight bangs) was rude, unwelcoming, and chastised me for looking at books that she claimed were part of their private collection. Rather than using snarky comments, I’d suggest making a small note to say “NFS” or perhaps treating your shop as a place of business rather than as a place to push potential customers out the door.

Beautifully curated shop with the worst customer service. Consistently! Also, google the prices online before purchasing. They mark their products higher than MSRP.

We were visiting from out of town during one of the few rainy days. Most places we walked into were met with an attitude which might be typical for the area but seemed unnecessary. The customer service agent did offer to help us look for particular items but I wouldn’t characterize it as a warm welcome.

I just checked this place out recently and loved it! I see bad reviews about customer service which is strange because I had a great experience. At least the girl who help me, Betty, was very sweet and thorough and helped me out with any questions I had! 👍🏼
