I went to this place with my colleagues, and we were quite enjoying the menu set. Everything was good, especially the pasta and tiramisu. Staff are super friendly and professional

Zucchini flowers were the best dishes here. Pastas are all outstanding, probably one of the best Italian restaurant I have eaten so far. Thanks to Karen we had such an amazing night!

The food was average, and the service was okay, but I really hated being seated by the door. It was so uncomfortable with people constantly coming and going! I asked the waiter if we could move to a table further inside, but they rigidly insisted that the seating arrangement was fixed, even though other tables were still unoccupied. The zucchini flower and kingfish were decent, the pasta was a bit salty, and the fennel salad was fine. However, the tiramisu was really disappointing—its texture was not smooth at all, with a lumpy consistency.

Really good food!! A bit overpriced for what the portions are, but delicious regardless. Service was good and great ambience! It’s definitely loud in there so not the best place to catchup with people but great place to celebrate something special or date nights :)

food was sooooo good! we had mafalda crab pasta, pumpkin ravioli (SO GOOD UGH) it’s sweet and dances in your mouth, BBQ octopus salad (omg the octopus was sooo soft!!!) and a very delicious tiramisu! 💞 sooo yummm! would definitely visit again - my tongue is missing the octopus and the pumpkin

I visited Bastardo to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious, with great flavors, though the portions were a bit small. The service was just okay, but the quality of the dishes made the celebration enjoyable. Worth a visit for the taste alone!

Amazing ambiance and great intimate atmosphere, came for a birthday dinner but thought it would be great for a date night or casual dining. Food was standard, the only thing that stood out was the tiramisu (probably the best one I’ve had in Sydney) so creamy and packed with flavor. Not too impressed with the wait time, waited over an hour for the mains to be served, the whole table just sat with bread during this time . The restaurant wasn’t extremely busier either. Their sister restaurant porteno was a much better experience overall.

Overall 6/7 Lots of great pasta dishes at a… reasonable price. But certainly not cheap. Highly recommend going with more people to try some of their starters and share more dishes - they have lots of great dishes worth trying. Gem lettuce salad: 7/7 Super good. Really good dressing. Cucumber salad 6/7 Great mix of cheese and sweetness. Zucchini flowers 7/7 Very well executed, a classic Calamari 4/7 The batter just wasn’t crunchy. Desserts weren’t great.
