"In 1983, a couple of artists surrounded 11 islands in Biscayne Bay with 6.5 million square feet of bright pink fabric, and people mostly loved it. Five years later, 119,986 individuals gathered in Little Havana to break the record for the world’s longest conga line. These days there’s a skyscraper-sized LED woman dancing frantically on the exterior of the InterContinental seven nights a week. All this is to say, if there is a city in the world where a restaurant like Barton G. could thrive, it’s here. Miami loves over the top. Miami loves obnoxious displays of extravagance. Miami loves lighting a golden cake on fire just for the hell of it. You can get all of those things at South Beach’s Barton G., a ridiculously expensive special occasion restaurant that’s been hosting 21st birthdays and bachelorette parties since 2002. The problem is, beyond all of those things, you’ll also have one of the worst meals of your life. The big gimmick at Barton G. is that everything you order comes with a ridiculous prop, from drinks to dessert. The Stairway to Heaven cocktail ($35) is served on a little plastic staircase that leads to an iPhone playing a video loop of a woman dancing erotically, because apparently Mr. G’s vision of heaven is generic B-roll of sexy dance moves. The Dolla Dolla Bills Y’all chocolate cake is lit on fire at the table and arrives with a $100 bill the size of a pool float. Barton’s Castle, which includes a 48-ounce prime rib and lobster ($350), comes with one of those inflatable tube men you see in used car lots. It just flails alongside you until you leave or beg the server to take it away. But that stuff’s not the problem. You come here expecting that - at least we hope - or you might have a panic attack when your server emerges from the kitchen with a welding mask and a blowtorch. The issue is that the food hiding underneath all of the insane props is awful. Barton’s Savory Churro Fries are one of the worst things we’ve ever put in our mouths. It comes with five, floppy sugar-dusted churros and a side of cheese sauce that congeals into one solid lump within minutes. We have never tasted a more flavorless piece of fish than the seared ahi tuna in the “Samurai Tuna,” which is coated in some sort of spice rub that tastes like burnt sand. Even the very pricey steaks taste like they could have come from an Australian-themed chain restaurant. If you have a good experience at Barton G., it’s only because you were too distracted by the decapitated mannequin with cotton candy hair to notice the offensively phoned-in food on the plates in front of you. Yes, we are a city that loves flashiness, but the best parts of Miami combine that flashiness with actual substance. The worst parts are hollow on the inside, just like Barton G. Food Rundown Laughing Bird Popcorn Shrimp The popcorn shrimp are served in an actual popcorn machine right next to actual popcorn, and you might be better off snacking on the popcorn itself. The fried shrimp are small and have almost no crunch to them. Lobster Pop-Tarts Maybe these were inspired by our beloved Pop-Tarts, but they honestly don’t taste as good as the versions you’d find in the grocery store. We couldn’t really taste any lobster within the messy pastry, which sticks to your face when you eat it. Barton’s Savory Churro Fries What we have here are essentially five undercooked churros with a side of molten yellow nacho cheese sauce. You’re expected to dip the sweet churros into the cheese sauce. Please do not do that. Your mouth will thank us. Backyard Cod The side of lobster tots is the best thing on this plate, although we couldn’t really taste any lobster in them either. Get this if you’re really into poorly seasoned, slightly overcooked fish. Samurai Tuna We’re not entirely sure if this seared ahi tuna is, in fact, ahi tuna. Because it tastes more like cardboard that’s been painted to resemble ahi tuna - and that seems like something Barton G. would do. Cowboy Steak The most exciting thing about this $59 steak is the giant fork that comes with it. The steak is cooked properly on the inside, but the outside doesn’t have a good sear and it’s kind of floppy. Also, it comes with no sides and we expect a little more effort out of steak this expensive. Dolla Dolla Bills Y’All Visually speaking, this is probably the best thing to order here because your server really goes to town on it with a blowtorch for like 45 seconds, and that’s fun to watch. Sadly the cake itself still feels frozen and incredibly dense despite being doused in flames for nearly a minute." - Ryan Pfeffer

"We respect a restaurant that commits to a bit, but when that bit gets to a point that you’re worried for the actual well-being of the waitstaff, it’s time to reconsider. Tableside presentations at this La Cienega restaurant, the LA location of an over-the-top Miami spot, include blaring boomboxes, four-foot-tall busts of Marie Antoinette, and ribs that come out on a lawn mower—all of which are heavy, awkward, and shakily hauled by servers. Some of this is fun, but as the night progresses, it becomes clear why these props exist: to distract you from the inedible food. The most unsettling aspect of the place, however, is the sheer amount of children here, all celebrating birthdays near drunk women in tube tops and other grown adults who think they’re clubbing. But Barton G is not a club, it’s a Cheesecake Factory for people with more money than sense, and one of the most deeply uncomfortable dining experiences in the city." - Brant Cox

"The French Martini I'm not a fan of vodka so I chose Barton G's French Martini complete with a Chambord popsicle. At $32 a pop, it's not something I'd recommend for anything more than the experience. While I did enjoy the drink and it's coolness (who doesn't want to try a sub-zero frozen alcohol drink?) I wasn't willing to buy a second one. I'm a rum drinker after all and even though they are able to freeze alcohol, I like to drink mine just a tad quicker. The method does keep you from drinking too quickly which is probably a good thing. Too many drinks and I might have spent more money on the frivolous presentations. By christina p"

All 3 times I have visited I give 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. What a super cool, fun way to order food & drinks AND be entertained not by entertainment but by the way the food & drinks come out! You definitely pay for the experience as it can be a little pricey BUT what do you expect, it’s an experience! Each time i’ve been the food & drinks have been amazing. We’ve sat inside & out, both are a vibe. If you’re in the area and celebrating ANYTHING, whether it be LIFE! A BIRTHDAY! FRIENDSHIP! AN ANNIVERSARY! Or TREATING YOURSELF, I recommend going! A reservation is a must!!! Please dress accordingly - upscale / best outfit required 😊

Barton G. was an incredible dining experience! The presentation of the food was absolutely stunning, making every dish feel like a work of art. The flavors were just as impressive delicious and well-balanced. The service was top notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made the evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was vibrant and unique, adding to the overall fun and upscale experience. Definitely a must

Visited last Thursday for my daughter’s birthday. It’s definitely not a regular dining spot—more about the experience and your pockets. You can’t even order a regular drink like sweet tea or soda—everything is a “performance.” I wasn’t in the mood for a cocktail, so Mike talked me in to getting a strawberry lemonade for $22, served in a martini glass when I just wanted something simple. Mike was our server. The wait for food was long, and another table that came after us got their meals first. Once the food arrived, it did taste good. Prices start at $28, everything is à la carte. Valet parking was $25, and street parking was hard to find. The vibe is similar to a place in Charlotte (Deluxe Fun Dining), but that one was a much better experience. Not sure I’d go back—maybe earlier in the day for hopefully better service.

⭐ 1-Star Review for Barton G. Miami Beach (Visit: May 3rd) I would never, ever return to this restaurant — and I want others to know just how bad the service was. We came on May 3rd with a group of 12 and spent over $3,800 expecting a great experience. The theme and presentation were impressive, but the service was truly awful. After dinner, we ordered several desserts including a cake, which the waiter sliced and served — and three guests found hair in the cake. The waiter witnessed it himself and confirmed it. We asked for a manager, and she didn’t show up for over 35 minutes. When she finally arrived, instead of taking it seriously, she dismissively asked, “Where’s the hair?” — like we’d still be holding onto it. Even with the waiter backing us up, she refused to comp the cake or take any responsibility. A small gesture like that would have meant something, especially considering how much we spent. The way we were treated was rude, careless, and unprofessional. If this is how they handle customer concerns, I strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere. Barton G. is all show, with no substance when it really matters.

Barton G in Miami is a Carnival of Dining Fun. Last Saturday night, with a group of new friends from pompano Beach 🏖️ , we took a stretch limousine 🚙 to South Miami Beach 🏝️ for dinner 🍽️ at Barton G restaurant. If you haven’t been, I encourage you to do so. It’s the most fun you can have sitting around a dinner 🥘 table 🍽️! Our journey down to Miami was filled with wine 🍷 , whiskey 🥃, and laughter 😂 as we got the chance to learn more about each other. I had no idea what the evening would have in store for us, but it was an entertaining circus 🎪 experience you can never forget! The way in which they present the specialty foods and drinks 🥤 🍹 is truly remarkable. The popcorn shrimp 🍤 was served to the table in a mini popcorn 🍿 machine. The lobster 🦞 pop tarts were served to the table in a toaster. ( you get the idea 💡. lol). I’m not going to go into describing all the dishes, but look at the pics below if you want to smile 😀 & laugh 😂. One last shout out. I want to thank our new 🆕 friends for coordinating and sponsoring this wonderful dinner. 🍲. Thank you 🙏 so much.

2024-11-27 My husband and I went for our anniversary while we were in Miami. Sometimes you can have a lot of show with crappy food, but this place has great food and a fun experience. Service is AMAZING, staff are so friendly. Food and drinks were so good and some of the presentations are out of this world. We had a lovely table in the courtyard. One of our best food experiences.

No parking unless you valet park. Tables are extremely small for the size of presentations of each dish. We had to request numerous times for a refill of water. Our sons NY Strip steak was burnt, instead of well done. This was our second time at this restaurant and unfortunately an unpleasant experience. For the high cost of each meal you would think the service would be immaculate. The food presentation was very extravagant and impressive and the taste of the other dishes such as the Boo G Pasta, Barton’s Real G Lasagne and even the Laughing Bird Popcorn Shrimp were exquisite. Hopefully a manager will take into consideration the complaints alongside the compliments to make such a beautiful restaurant into an even more memorable place to celebrate any special occasion as we did yesterday for Valentine’s Day.

Google

The drinks had presentations as ( I included in the pictures) . Everyone that comes to Miami deserves to experience Barton G

Yelp
Looking for a special spot to celebrate my wife's birthday, Barton G was recommended by friends. Using Open Table, I easily made the reservation a week in advance and upon arriving we used the valet parking service. Street parking is limited, so the $25 was worth it. The server greeted us, took our drink orders and explained the menu. There were options selecting from a planned full course menu or individual items. We opted for the full course menu selection with the main course being the half roasted chicken and the wagyu steak. They are known for their food presentations and we were not disappointed. For dessert, we looked at the Yelp photos and selected the cotton candy. It was a silly selection, the sheer amount of cotton candy was way too much. We seconded guessed and should have selected the funnel cake as we saw another table order it. For special events, I would recommend this spot. While we dined inside, they do have an outside garden and dining area that would be nice on a cooler evening. Make sure you check they out and give them a try. Enjoy!

Yelp
Used to be great for birthdays and date nights but last time I went was not so great. Different atmosphere and the customers they are attracting not my type of place anymore. Food still great and drinks really nice but atmosphere and ambience declined.

Yelp
Horrible Experience!! They have Roaches!!! During the course of salad and appetizers brought to my table we noticed a roach crawl out of the dish! When we told the general manager Stephane Mercier what happened and provided her a photo she downplayed the event and tried to send us the bill for our drinks!! The general manager said that "I heard there was a creature in your dish but they sometimes fly in from outside." No apologies just excuses. I told her "No that was a small house roach and not a large bug with wings so that came from your kitchen!" Horrible experience for such an expensive restaurant. Never go here! Save your coins!

Yelp
I recently had a disappointing experience with Barton G in Miami Beach. I made reservations for 8:15 PM, specifically for a birthday dessert. When they called to confirm, I mentioned we were coming for dessert, only to be told that they wouldn't be able to serve us until around 10 PM. This felt completely ridiculous and misleading. If dessert is only served so late, they should make that clear when booking. The vibe came off as pretentious, and it's hard to see what the hype is about. I ended up feeling unwelcome and unimpressed. I'll be taking my celebration elsewhere, however I need to say a little compassion and humanity goes a long way, you dropped the ball! They knew we were celebrating a birthday and still decided to cancel our reservation!!!!!

Kai C.

Yelp
I throughly enjoyed Barton G. It's definitely worth the money & the experience. They had the best Alfredo I've had, no exaggeration. The shrimp, crab & lobster were cooked right. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. The staff were helpful & added to the great service. Restaurant has a dim, warm, romantic atmosphere. I would come back & recommend to others. Valet parking is an option. If not, you will be looking for street parking in the neighborhood.

Imelda C.

Yelp
What an amazing Immersive dinner experience to celebrate my 51st birthday. This place makes you feel special from the moment you step foot. Definitely one for the books. Great Immersive dinner.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday here. She specifically requested for the cotton candy hair and she got it. I really thought this place was going to be all show. With how insane the theatrics are and everything I didn't expect much. Our server pitched the Barton G special which had a tomahawk, mashed potatoes, lobster tail, asparagus paired with the truffle Alfredo Boo G. pasta and my daughter got a filet with fries. All the food was excellent! I was quite shocked with how incredible everything was and the ambiance matched the food quality! 10/10

Abigail P.

Yelp
The ambience is great. The service is amazing. The food is just OK you are paying for the display of the food. The water is $10 even if you just get tap so just a warning do not come here if you are on a budget . The display of the food is really fun and the drinks and martinis are also fun to watch being displayed at other peoples tables Some of the food doesn't seem very worth it because the prices are so high end and I got the cheapest thing on the menu which I believe was $36 Overall great experience but I probably won't be coming back .

Karen W.

Yelp
What an Amazing experience.. so much fun! Food was good! Somethings better than others but overall very pleased. Appetizers were delicious: ribs were outstanding, the lobster and shrimp temporal was just OK. Lack a little flavor to me, but the seafood was very tender. Scallops looked amazing. I don't eat them hubby and cousins said they were delicious. Main meal, the salmon I ordered it well it was too dry. The doodles that came with the salmon dish were outstanding coleslaw was a little to much citrus for me. The Seabass Cousin said it was very good . Seafood boil hubby said it was good. He didn't care for the sauce too much. It didn't have any real flavor just a lot of butter. The mac & cheese was very cheesy. It was very good. . The atmosphere was lively the staff was phenomenal . It was such a great experience. I wanted to try this place for a couple years now and then I finally got to do it. No regrets ...

Nancee T.

Yelp
The ambiance was fun and a vibe. It was dark but felt romantic and the music was on point. It was super fun to just be there. We got a few of the popular items, Boo G pasta, Cowboy bone in ribeye, and Seafood Bubble bath. Everything was good but not any extraordinary. I love the presentation but the flavor wasn't up to my expectations based on the presentations and the price. Our waiter was good and nice. Overall I would go back cause the vibe and music was just too good.

Susan F.

Yelp
Overall it was a fun experience. Kinda a fun party atmosphere. Music is loud. So if that is too much book somewhere else. The presentation of the drinks and food was pretty fun. The dry ice was super fun in the drinks even though I had seen and done it myself before. They name the drinks and present them on these cool displays when they bring them to you. The food was pretty good. I recommend the wings for the appetizer as they were honestly some of the best wings ever! I had the filet with Yukon mashed potatoes. While it was delicious I am not sure it was the best steak ever. Desserts are massive! Our table had a sundae, the dollar bill and a carnival. Let's just say we took a few to go boxes home! It was a fun experience but probably a one and done for me.

Semira M.

Yelp
PSA Please Do NOT Waste a second at this place , service for a pricy venue was terrible , food waiting time took forever and the food was eh ... yes I understand we are paying for the experience But the experience was awful They didn't even sing for my daughter's birthday after I had notified ahead of time . When I spoke to the woman manager .. she didn't want to hear it and cut me short.

Alise L.

Yelp
We went on Valentines Day. The ambiance is really nice, we sat outside. The table was a bit small especially considering how large the displays are for each item. The waiter was attentive and helpful in regards to selecting items. Of course this place is expensive, you know it when you look it up. However, the taste of the food does not align with the pricing. The cocktails were good but again not so out of this world that they warrant a $40 price tag. It's a one and done type of experience which is sad to me because I'd love to go here with friends who come in from out of town but the food just doesn't taste good enough to want to return. Add some flavor and I'd be back in no time!

Estefania O.

Yelp
So Barton G in Miami Beach is like stepping into a visual playground. The ambiance is decent, nothing mind-blowing, but the real showstopper is how they present their dishes. Seriously, it's like edible art! But here's the kicker - the food itself doesn't quite live up to the hype. It's okay, but for the prices they're charging, you'd expect something more mouthwatering. Now, let's talk drinks. They're fantastic, both in taste and presentation. Totally Instagram-worthy! But here's the thing - $35 for a drink? That's a bit steep, even for something that looks this cool. And can we take a minute to appreciate the service? Our server was an absolute gem, making the whole experience a breeze. But the digital-only menu situation? Yeah, it's convenient, but a printed backup would be nice, especially when the digital one's acting wonky. Overall, Barton G is a fun spot with a killer concept, but they definitely need to step up their food game and maybe rethink those drink prices. With a few tweaks, they could be unstoppable.

Amy L.

Yelp
A fun and comical dinner experience! I was expecting this restaurant to be more for the experience, but was pleasantly surprised with how much we all loved the food! The steaks were tender, pasta was loaded with flavor and seafood! Services was great, but drinks were okay. Overall the ambiance was fun and they were playing great music!

Hanan T.

Yelp
Expensive but delicious! Definitely giving you a show with your meal. Service was great. Parking is annoying. You need to valet. Ambiance is beautiful. Seating outside is very nice. Dessert was delicious. Highly recommend

Aurora H.

Yelp
You have to go! Kind of on the pricey side BUT what do you expect - you're in MIAMI! Not only is the food GREAT BUT THE PRESENTATION is one of the best if not the best I've ever experienced! EACH item ordered comes with a "presentation" of some sort. I've been 4x and each time I have not been let down. The staff is always super nice & helpful with recommendations. The ambience is one of a kind.

Breaunna O.

Yelp
If you are searching for a place to impress your date, you must go here! This place is photo opportunity to the max, not only that, but the food is actually pretty tasty! The drinks are phenomenal, and they come with an extra shot included in the price. Speaking about prices, be prepared to throw your wallet out on this night because every dish and every drink is highly expensive. But your mind will be trailing throughout the entire restaurant with all of the extra ordinary dish platters that will be coming out of the kitchen. This night is definitely one to remember. However, if you're going for the million dollar desert, go for just the pictures not the taste that desert is honestly terrible. I've never tasted something more disgusting in my life. MUST GO AT LEAST ONCE !

Francisco V.

Yelp
This place is mainly about presentation, but wow do they knock it out of the park there! Everything is a little bit exaggerated here at Barton G, which is almost a good thing. The word is probably going to be "extra", but it's all in good fun. Service was prompt and our multi lingual waiter was very patient with our large group, but he was pushing for us to get the prix fixe courses that were listed on the top, even though after doing some math it didn't seem like a bargain. The liquid nitrogen prepared drinks are awesome, both in taste and presentation. My two favorites were the Dead or Alive, and the Buddhalicious. Just make sure you drink them after they stop blowing smoke, otherwise a nasty cold burn may happen. My favorite dish were the Short Ribs. The taste and texture were out of this world, which is probably why it came in a UFO. I love dishes made with Bordelaise sauce and this was no exception. I tried several other dishes, like the Seafood Bubble Bath, and the Truffle Honey Roasted Chicken and was not truly impressed, but those who ordered them mentioned they were very happy. Gets a 4/5 because it just feels like a place I would only go once to, because after the allure of the presentations is done, not everything was spectacular, and it is definitely one of the pricier food joints around the area, and it doesn't feel as the presentation in itself is enough to justify it.

Amanda A.

Yelp
You come here for the experience. Though the food was good it wasn't spectacular. Nonetheless all the wait staff was very nice and attentive. We came here for my friend's birthday. It's definitely something that everyone should do once. Just be prepared to spend some money. They do have valet and there is street parking if you're able to find it.

Sammy D.

Yelp
This is a great place to celebrate special occasions. It's pretty pricey and reservations are hard to get . Try to book in advance. Food is pretty good. They have a beautiful presentation for the food

Chelsey L.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday in Miami. All the food was like art work ! Def a nice place for a birthday. My customer service was great I made reservation ahead of time with no issues. Beautifully decorated for pictures. Loved my cotton candy dessert

Nicole C.

Yelp
What an experience at Barton G....your order is not just a dinner but a show! You will be in shock and awe with the presentation of the drinks and food. We opted to sit inside and it's a gorgeous dining room. Our waiter was friendly, welcoming and guided us through our options. Thanks to Yelp! - we reviewed the menu and past patron's photos to know exactly what we wanted. This is a place where you should come prepared to share with the table so you can order many options and experience the show. I started with the diamond are forever cocktail which included a liquid nitrogen liquor popsicle. It was beautiful and a pretty strong cocktail. For appetizers we had the lobster poptarts which arrived in a toaster. The lobster poptarts were light, fluffy, and savory. They were filled with lobster meat. The popcorn shrimp arrived in a fun, popcorn machine surrounded by a bed of popcorn. For the entree my sister and I shared the samurai salmon which included vegetables and some garlic noodles. Salmon was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the truffle lobster Mac and cheese. If you are a lover of Mac and cheese as well we lobster this is the dish for you. Full of lobster meat and gooey cheese, I would go back just for this. We ended our evening with Marie Antoinette, which was almost a 6 foot tower of cotton candy hair. It was definitely a show stopper. Enjoy the photos!

Cynthia T.

Yelp
Super fun place where we celebrated my daughters 18th bday. Each dish is an incredible display of its own. Ordered lobster pop-tart appetizer and popcorn shrimp appetizer, both were good. Also had the chopped salad which is enormous. For dinner we had the salmon, grits with lobster and the boo g pasta. It's honestly a lot of food. For dessert we had the cotton candy and it's so much you can take it home. This is a place to come for celebrations!

Yelp
Haven't been to Barton Gs in a long time, so I was excited to try again. Our waiter Leandro was superb, but he was the most impressive part of the dinner. Had the lobster pop tarts. Got upset with the bus staff because it's all about presentation, with the pop tart being served in the toaster, but the bus staff removed the toaster so quickly, I wasn't able to take a photo. The pop tarts were smaller than I remembered, and were just okay. We felt so rushed as they brought out the next appetizer. The spare ribs were tender and delicious. I warned Leandro that I'd kill the bus staff if they removed the presentation, so finally the bus staff listened. We had the Cesar salad, which was good, but I recalled they used to serve it with the grater for additional Parmesan cheese, but no more. My steak was served with the giant fork, but again, the bus staff removed it too quickly. The steak was tender, but tasteless. There was no seasoning on it. $70 for an 8 oz filet, and it was flavorless. Saved room for dessert. Wanted Marie Antoinette, but they only serve the head with cotton candy, and no longer with any small cakes, so I declined. Wasn't going to spend $42 for just cotton candy. We tried to order coffee, but they don't serve coffee or tea. Really? Really? I can only rationalize that they want you to leave your table and don't want you to linger, but it's absurd. We were out of the restaurant within 1 hour and 40 minutes and felt rushed. So, $622 for 5 of us and I will not go back ever again. I'm so disappointed as the last time I went, everything was exciting, delicious and well presented; this time, only Leandro was great.

Yelp
Such a fun spot when visiting South Beach! Came here for my birthday when we saw the reviews and outrageous dishes and presentations online- so fun. Restaurant is much smaller than I had envisioned but was neat to see everyone's dishes come out to get an idea of what you want. Service is top notch here. I started off with a vodka based martini that was one of the dry ice drinks- came with a champagne Popsicle and chocolate monkey hanging off the side. Delicious and potent! On to food- I had the prix fix- this is a great deal. App, entree, and any dessert for somewhere around $125ish if I remember correctly. I got the popcorn shrimp for app and it was delicious and enough for two- Even came in a popcorn popper with popcorn! For entree I got the seafood pasta and my husband got the filet with lobster Mac and cheese. Both were incredible and came out quickly. Portions were huge and we definitely needed a box for our entrees- typically we never do. Lastly, for dessert, I got the $100 bill cake that they torch in front of you. The cake is huge and RICH- now I like rich, but for most and my husband; this will be too rich. It's a s'mores cake and the chocolate is extremely rich but man it's amazing. When they torch it the marshmallow gets gooey and it's incredible. This cake came with the prix fix but could probably easily feed 4 people. Great for a birthday and complete with a sparkler! Overall such a fun and different experience. 10/10 for food taste and presentation 10/10 for service Price was steep- but hey, worth it for a fun experience and special occasion Ambiance- quieter and upscale We will be back!

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant more than five stars I would. This has been my wife's favorite restaurant for a few years now. Since she's discovered it we've flown from Louisville Ky to Miami, just for Barton G's. We only stay one night, eat and leave. It's that good. Our last visit was one of my best dining experiences I've ever had. I had the Piri Pirishoo Chicken skewers along with the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The skewers captivated my taste buds while the Lobster Mac and Cheese hypnotized my mouth. Cocktails, my wife tried the Money Talks, which has Vodca, Tequila, Rum, and Tripple Sec; needless to say one drink was all that was needed. My drink always is a Lemon Drop Martini, this one was different. It was the best I've ever had in my life. I stopped mid meal to go to the bar to thank the bar tender and tell her so. The ambiance is one of the most romantic I've ever experienced and the presentation is unmatchable. Our favorite restaurant, Barton G's helped make my wife's 40th birthday amazing.

Yelp
If you want to go somewhere for pictures and content this is the place, food wise meh. Service was good but they have restaurant rules they have to follow and they don't really make sense like can't order an appetizer you have to order everything at once, which is t life ending but annoying. It's a room full of people taking pictures of their food. Not the worst but def not the best. Probably won't go back nothing was worth it.

Yelp
Presentation is I would recommend everyone come here to experience the drinks and foods. Nice spot for sure.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised. Barton G's is a trendy restaurant in Miami Beach that has a lot to offer. The decor is sophisticated and chic. The service is very good. The food was good. We had the lobster pop tarts and wings for appetizers. Both were delicious. For our entree, we split the BooG pasta which had hearty chunks of lobster and large prawns.

Yelp
If want to go somewhere and be wowed by the food/service and atmosphere this is the place to go. I have never been somewhere quite like here. The food was so yummy. And comes out in the lavish displays. The service was amazing. Loved everything about it.

Yelp
This place was quirky and fun, the food was amazing and were brought to the table with a quirky presentation. They played great music. The service was also great and very helpful!

Yelp
My daughter made a dinner reservation to celebrate my birthday, very nice decor, very elegant and absolutely loved the music and the ambiance. The presentation of the drinks and the food was superb, we had the salmon and the pasta and it was excellent, tasty, so delicious, we really enjoyed it. The dessert was huge, enough for everyone on the table. As far as price is concerned, is a little pricey, the best deal is the $100 per person meal, which consists of an appetizer, entree and dessert. Everything we had was delicious. We had a really nice experience

Yelp
There are a lot of mixed reviews for this place and I get it, but hubby and I had a dope experience here. We had reservations for 830p on Sunday. When we got there, we were seated right away. We originally wanted to sit outside, but due to rain we couldn't. The inside is beautiful as well though. Our waiter was very friendly and thorough. After explaining how they work, he got us started with some water and then we ordered drinks. Hubby got an old fashioned and I got the Sabrinatini. We both enjoyed our drinks. I'm not a martini girl, but this one had good flavor. For dinner, we went with the prix fixe menu. Kind of expensive, but you get a lot of food. For appetizers, I went with the popcorn shrimp and hubby went with the wagyu sliders. For the entrees, we both ordered the salmon. For dessert, we went with the "Dollar Dollar Bill Y'all," which is a gold s'mores brick. The presentation alone is over the top...real grand, but I find that very unique/exciting as that's what they're all about. We haven't ever had an experience like that and it was very dope and very well thought out. Memorable for sure. The food was also pretty good. No it wasn't outstanding, but we had no complaints whatsoever and enjoyed everything we tasted. Considering the area, the price seems reasonable. We honestly had a great time, enjoyed the food/presentation and left full, with leftovers in tow. Would definitely recommend to my friends/family to experience at least once. Wouldn't mind visiting again.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Cane all the way from NJ during Columbus weekend. I made the reservations in June for October. When coming here, we rushed because we wanted to beat the 15 min grace period. Upon arriving and valeting our car, we had to wait another 30 min. Due to the rain, the outdoor dining area was closed so they only had indoor seating. When we finally sat down, The place was cramped with people. We had an awesome waiter. He explained how the restaurant went and how everything was "picture worthy". We ordered 2 Shirley temples because we aren't big drinkers. He made our drinks fancy with dry ice. We then ordered the chicken with a side of mash potatoes and mac and cheese. I was surprised that the chicken Didnt come with any sides. My sister ordered the African chicken appetizers. Our meals came out within 15-20 min. It came on these elaborate dishes which is the whole esthetics of the Restaurant. My food was 9/10. Everything was delicious. I couldnt even finish 1/4 of the food due to the large portions. My only con is that the mac and cheese was very watery. We the got the dollar dollar bills dessert. We knew dessert wasnt a good idea, but we had to get the entire experience. The presentation was amazing. My only con was that the dessert was very rich and gluttonous. The dish would have went perfect with ice cream to cut the richness. Our bill came up to $250. I will definitely come here again if I'm ever in Miami. Ok

Yelp
Look, I went on Valentine's Day and this place was a disaster. This was my 3rd time patronizing the Barton G chain, twice here in Miami and once in LA, never made it to my local Chicago location when it was open. Here's the deal, I went through the proper channels by properly scheduling a reservation, confirming and even arrived on time. The check in process was chaotic, it was filled with angry diners who had been there for 30 minutes to 1 hr waiting for their prescheduled reservations. When I walked up, I knew it would be a disaster if the people ahead of me were experiencing long wait times. While checking in periodically, we were dismissed by the hostess several times and pushed away with the rationalization that "they are seating people as they arrive". WHAT!!! What's the purpose of a reservation if you as a business don't have your customers adhere to your table time policy, OF COURSE IT IS GOING TO CAUSE A SNOWBALL EFFECT. Complete mismanagement of time and organization, on a day like Valentine's in such a prestigious establishment such a Barton G was a major a disappointment! After about 30-40 minutes with absolutely no compensation from Management, we were finally seated. :( The is valet. There is extremely tight indoor seating, thankfully everyone was kind about minor bumps here in there. There is outdoor seating as well. The server was amazing as well. Price point was cool. Music was great, kudos to the DJ/playlist. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT and all of the gimmicks won't disappoint! To anyone planning to come here, especially on a big holiday, expect delays and don't plan anything afterwards you might be here a while.

Yelp
While on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale, I decided to make reservations and drive to Miami to finally have a chance to check the Barton G's Restaurant out. I've been wanting to try the Barton G's restaurant for years now, so I was super excited to finally go! My family member and I arrived right when the restaurant opened! The drive from Ft. Lauderdale was smooth, only took about 40 minutes, and GPS literally took us right to the restaurant! We were seated outside immediately, and received service immediately. I wish I would've remembered out waiter's name, but he was great! Very friendly, and attentive. I started off with the Hawaiian Pimp Juice drink, as I really wanted to experience the nitro popsicle! The table shared an appetizer: The Launching Bird Shrimp, which was really good! Then we moved to our entrees: Shell Shocked BBQ Short Ribs and Truffled Lobster Mac and Cheese! All of the food was good, and great portion sizes! We had so much food to take back to the hotel! Of course we couldn't leave without trying the Marie Antoinette Cotton Candy! We only ate a pinch of this huge cotton candy head, so the rest was bagged up to go. My only complaint was literally by the time we arrived back to the hotel, the cotton candy was so hard and we could not even eat or enjoy it. So it was really a waste to even order as far as I'm concerned. Overall, great experience! Very fun atmosphere and good food and laughs to have as memories!

Yelp
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! This is a must go if you're in Miami. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant yet mystical and dim. The music is A1!!! Very modern, hip hop/R&B jams going on The staff was very accommodating and polite. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about each individual dish and it's corresponding exhibit. And the portion size of these dishes are FILLING The food was delivered timely and theatrically! I ordered the $100 entree package that included an appetizer , entree and dessert. My appetitezer, Cesar salad that was simply exquisite. It was dressed and covered with a light layer of Parmesan that made the whole thing taste creamy; IT WAS SO GOOD) . I ate the Boo G pasta which tasted like a fancy seafood Alfredo. I was impressed by the jumbo portioned seafood mixed within the pasta! Pretty good but nothing overall special for taste. And the million dollar s'more was too RICH in chocolate, so I would ordered something else if you don't need to be overwhelmed with chocolate My friend didn't like the mac and cheese so she sent it back. She did LOVE her popcorn shrimp, however didn't eat the actual popcorn that came with it The cocktails were amazing and strong. My non alcoholic strawberry lemonade was specially presented with smoke and a chocolate monkey on the side , super delicious. I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE HERE AND WILL RETURN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
Came here for a birthday, on the literal day & I will say they did nothing to make it special. This may be because they feel they already put on a show, but for these prices you could've at least said happy birthday after I mentioned it The restaurant itself was a lot smaller than I expected, and too small for the amount of props they utilize. Especially if you're seated at a two top *. The props are also something they try and take away immediately after they place them down, so they can utilize them for the next table We opted for the dead or alive drink, and the setup was really nice but the drink itself tasted like juice 3/10 The laughing bird popcorn shrimp was really cool looking, & the popcorn was fresh. The shrimp was soggy and lacking flavor 4/10 boo g pasta setup looked so cute with the teapot but that was the extent of it. The pasta tasted more like butter than alfredo 3/10 short ribs were really good but way too small of a portion for the size. The sauce was the best part but definitely tender 6/10 Cornbread 3/10 truffle lobster Mac & cheese was probably my favorite part of the meal. There was a lot of cheese and sufficient amount of lobster inside 8/10 For dessert I opted for the carnival : red velvet funnel cake wasn't fresh & the chocolate icecream only made it soggy 4/10 Fried oreos 6/10 Snicker corn dogs 6/10 Pretty much a waste I will say unless you like sweets or have children in your party Overall it was a nice experience because we made it one, but I wouldn't dine here again.

Yelp
Barton G's gets 10 stars from me... the ambience is amazing. The food was amazing. The presentation was amazing. The drinks were amazing.. The service was great ... We thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING about the restaurant. I've wanted to visit for years and I'm So happy I made it. I feel like I'd have to visit any time I go to Miami. It was definitely the BEST restaurant of the 4 we visited within our 34 hours in Miami

Yelp
Whew this place pulls out all the stops for a fun, EXTRAVAGENT meal. This particular Barton G is located in South Beach and has a semi large indoor seating with out door seating. The indoor gives off a completely different feel then the indoor so be sure to put in your reservations what you would prefer. Indoor--more party/be seen, outdoor-more romantic/enjoying the southbeach vibe. Reservations strongly recommended because this place gets PACKED. The music is also a total vibe (hip hop) and I was a fan! Okay pricing is pricy but I can justify presentation is pretty spectacular! All the nitro drinks are $30 and up but they are show stopping beautiful. If you really don't care about a display regular cocktails are $20 and up. I haven't had a drink the last 4 months so I had no problem going all out and ordering off the nitro menu. So worth it! I ordered "diamonds are forever" $36 and the nitro popsicle was a nice touch. Food was good but not great. I enjoyed the barton g lasagna and it was really filling! My husband thought the fried chicken was okay, could have been better according to him. Otherwise, fun lively presentation and service was outstanding. We will definitely be back next time were in South Beach.

Yelp
If you like a gimmick restaurant, this one is for you. They serve everything on the menu with some kind of ridiculous, oversized prop. Food is decent but overpriced. The lobster Mac was very good but a bit over powered by the truffle oil.

Yelp
We celebrated our friend's birthday tonite and went wild with ordering! I say wild because our bill was just under $1,000 for 3 of us when we got done! So all of the reviewers who are upset with how exoensive Barton G's is, we feel your pain! The atmosphere and ambiance is always a joy to experience here! We love the lushness of the tropical plants and trees! We always request the outdoors even before the pandemic hit. Our #1 reason to come here is to experience the Food Presentations! We have been to many restaurants but no one does it like Barton G's. The best!! So, we ordered drinks to start, of course. The Buddhalicious and the Sabrinatini were our picks for cocktails and wine for the 3rd person in our party. Those put us in a good mood and we then ordered the Lobster PopTarts, which were wonderful!! For our main course, we went for the Royal Treatment: Barton's Castle. There was no price listed on the menu but we missed that until it was too late! The meal consisted of Tomahawk steak, loaded mashed potatoes, asparagus, and lobster tail. It was delicious!! Last but not least, we ordered the Sabrina Sundae to celebrate the birthday girl. It came with a sparkler. Great sundae! We had a good time, enjoyed the food and atmosphere and made memories. Someday we will go back again. Parking: valet

Yelp
I had the Wagyu Sliders and fries. Excellent. For drinks I had the Buddalicious + Diamonds are forever which are fantastic. They are generous with the alcohol

Kika G.

Yelp
The dishes & drinks are all fun to receive. There is a joy in receiving a dish that tastes good and has a theme to its plating.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Amazing experience, top notch food and service. Every dish has a gimmick. The Sampras Salmon is served with a full-sized samaurai sword. The popcorn shrimp comes in a real popcorn machine. Forks as big as a pitch fork. Great for kids. Super pricy though. Expect to pay $100 person or more.

Yelp
Love this restaurant. It's fun and we always have a great time. The food displays are amazing and not like any other restaurant I've ever been to.
