"Authentic, polished and vintage – such is the vibe of this delightful bistro, quirkily established in a former butcher’s shop, as the colourful wall tiles and meat hooks bear witness. The concise menu is a guarantee of quality. Tasty Gallic standards like steak tartare or stew of girolle mushrooms, sea lavender and poached egg are prepared with text-book precision, blessedly free of fussy frills and steeped in gutsy flavour. Ask Bart, a walking wine encyclopaedia, for his insightful tips to help you choose just the right tipple to pair with your meal." - Michelin Inspector

Great meal, friendly and attentive service. The haring was mind blowing and the tartare very tasty. Amazing wine selection, also by the glass.

After many many years of saying “I really want to go there” I finally ended up here for lunch last week and so glad I did. It fully lived up to my expactations and beyond! This is an absolute institution is Belgium and it’s as authentic as it can be. The maybe 8-10 small cosy tables are positioned around the open kitchen. Bart, the owner, welcome’s you in the most friendly and warm way. When you ask for a drink he says “we only do water, wine and koffie”. LOVE IT! Bart knows his wines, he doesn’t has a winelist but asks you what you want and then tells you what he has to offer and he is always spot on. A true wine lover and connaisseur. Before I forget: the food! They only have 3 starters and 3 main courses which should only tell you one thing: they know what they are good at and it’s fresh. We had the tartare as a starter and the coq-au-vin and it was simply amazing. A beautiful experience and can’t wait to be back.

A wonderful place that I already want to go back to. Simple yet exquisite food. Genuine and unpretentious. The owner is very friendly and an amazing wine connaisseur. It’s a bit far from the city center but it doesn’t matter. Definitely one of the best restaurants we visited in Antwerp.

An absolute gem of a place. Tiny menu but you couldn't fault a thing. Chef serves you the food and it is exceptional. Simple food but executed with perfection. The owner/sommelier is a character. He truly picks some wonderful wines and introduced us to some really unique wines we would never have tried otherwise. The ambience is great in the old butcher shop. Well worth a visit.

Tasty meat, simple but decent food and the steak tartare is delicious. Talk to the owners to hear more about the place, it dates back to the 1920's.

Best place I have eaten in Antwerp since I moved here one year ago.Bart is super friendly, recommends amazing and reasonably priced wines. The menu is short and varies, which os part of the place's charm. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations in taste, from the wine to the desert. Definately coming back.
