"Love it or hate it, this brutalist icon is an in-demand cultural hub: two galleries, two theaters, three cinemas, a concert hall, and a lush tropical conservatory. I drop in for free shows by emerging artists, soak up nature-meets-architecture in London’s second-largest conservatory, and refuel at the on-site bars and cafés." - Connor Sturges

"I like the Barbican Centre , especially the conservatory. It’s very special to have something like this in the centre of London. I like coming here when I go to exhibitions at the Barbican art gallery." - Andrew Young

"A fascinating architectural piece in London, offering insights into the city's history and the minds of its architects." - Andrew Young
"No, really. PRIME_TIME is a new play that ‘takes aim at Amazon’s founder and massive phallic rocket owner, Jeff Bezos… a riotous reassessment of the web giant and the power he holds over our planet and beyond’. From highly-respected theatre producers, In Bed With My Brother - reserving judgement on the name - the show is inspired by cyberfeminists and is soundtracked by the late SOPHIE. Also, apparently there’s full-frontal nudity so maybe not one to watch with the parents. The play is running from Wednesday the 27th October to Saturday the 6th of November but it’s probably best to book your tickets sooner rather than later. Once you’ve merrily absorbed all that anarchy, head for a plate of rigatoni at nearby Luca or go ahead and pick somewhere from our guide Where To Eat Near The Barbican. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"Standing at the forefront of European performance art, the Barbican Centre is an exciting arts venue with contemporary theater performances, exhibitions, and live music. Pushing the boundaries at every opportunity, the Barbican plays host to world-class directors, choreographers, collaborators, and artists. Tickets for performances vary in price and tend to book up in advance, so plan ahead of time. There are also film screenings with blockbusters, arthouse, animations, and foreign movies to choose from. Don’t worry if you’re traveling on a tight budget — there is always a free exhibition in the center’s public areas. If you do happen to have some spare cash, though, the Barbican has a range of discussions, performances, and workshops on offer." - MATADOR_NETWORK
