Step into this eclectic wine and dance spot where chilled natural wines flow and DJs spin vintage beats under a dazzling disco ball, perfect for a late-night vibe.
"Brooklyn friends coming to town? They’ll feel right at home at Bar Part Time. The Mission natural wine bar is sexy and cavernous, decked out with a disco ball, BPT-branded wine glasses, and shelves of vinyl. It's good conversation fodder for when you rub against someone who unironically wears sunglasses indoors. Just be prepared to wake up the next day, possibly with the DJ’s Instagram handle scribbled on your palm in Sharpie, because it’s always that kind of night here. "In case you’ve been living under a rock, Bar Par Time in the Mission is the natural wine bar that some people might describe as “just like Brooklyn.” While we’re not ready to make such bold claims, the dance floor packed with people holding wine glasses and bottles above their heads as they try to dance certainly does not feel like SF. It’s a madhouse here on the weekends, with the line stretching around the block. So come early if you want easier access to the disco ball. But then again, you never know who you’ll meet in line. "To say Bar Part Tims is absolutely not your average wine bar still feels like an understatement. In fact, it’s a full-on bacchanal wine party with a dance floor lorded over by a glittering disco ball and populated with hip young people pounding that good juice and grooving to music from a truly impressive lineup of DJs. As for the wine, it’s all-natural, of course. On Tuesday nights come through for $10 off bottles to drink on-site." - Lauren Saria, Eater Staff
"In SF, natural wine bars are about as common as black puffer jackets. But natural wine bars where you can also dance? We head to this spot in the Mission for that. Bar Part Time just feels like a party thanks to its fun checkered floors, a DJ spinning records in the corner, and a disco ball overhead. Sure, the shelves filled with vinyl and the high ratio of beanies per capita make this spot feel trendier than a fancy soap store, but it’s not hard to have a good time here. The cushy booths are exactly where we want to be on a Thursday night with friends or on a third date. Grab a bottle from their fridge, and get dancing." - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, lani conway, will kamensky
"We talk about Bar Part Time all the time (story of our lives), but that’s because they’re the best dance and natural wine bar in the city, and we love them as much as we love the first sunny day after months of fog. With a giant disco ball and lines around the block, this is the place to see-and-be-seen, dance to electronic-ish music and precariously hold up a glass of wine on the very tight dance floor—and then pop outside for a cig along with literally everyone else. Just make sure you wear your best Brooklyn cosplay outfit, we wouldn’t want you to stand out otherwise." - ricky rodriguez
