3.12.23 - amazingly nice staff who are patient and engaging. We tried the classic banana pudding and the ube, both of which were great! The seasonal flavors right now are Thai Ice Tea and something else I can't remember (sorry!). We were able to try samples before buying, but that was not necessary. Support local and I hope this place has a long history in the East Village.

I am "bananas" for this place! Have gone twice already this month. It's a must try dessert spot for the lightest banana pudding. Has a mousse like texture, ample banana slices, and a few flavor bases to choose from. Loving the classic vanilla and Ube personally. My kids gobbled up the Cookies and Cream. Best part, you can add the complimentary toppings (graham crackers, Oreos, or nilla wafers) or for more premium options, just $1 more.

This was a great find in the city, we happen to walk by and see this dessert shop. Their banana pudding, and Ube pudding was really good. I like how they have unique Ube flavor with this classic dessert. The prices were more expensive then the pictures of the menu that I saw on Yelp prior to coming in. The desserts were all very sweet, maybe a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend to give this place a try.

Light, fluffy and delicious banana pudding with 8-ish options (including vegan ones), better than Magnolia's . $4 for 1 scoop cup and $6 for 2 scoops with some free toppings.
I had the ube and the original and both were really good and paired well with each other. Given its lightness, I think this is a great dessert when it is too cold for ice cream or if you want a lighter dessert.
They did list other flavors but they weren't available as they are still getting a hang of foot traffic into the store and assured me that more flavors will be reliably available in April.

What is a exemplary banana pudding?
It’s light and fluffy in structure while having a refreshing flavor.
Baonanas delivers definitely the first if not both!
I love how fresh the bananas are and how Ube flavor actually comes through ;)
New gem of east village and magnolia might have a rising competitor

Cool little concept. Great pudding type desserts. Not quite sure what category they fall into. Valet, creamy, and fruit forward. Definitely favored the ones with bananas and honestly the original with chocolate crunchies is probably my recommendation.
Service was excellent - patient, educational and allowed for tasting all flavors before deciding. Loved that you can mix even the smallest sizes. Give it a try!

Baonanas was found in JC by a couple who love desserts and their banana pudding was infused with Philippine ingredients like Ube and Pandan.
The decor is adorable and cozy but narrow-spaced. They only served limited flavors (only three when we visited) at this location, which was a little disappointing since they mentioned there is a total of 33+ flavors.
We got a cup of Ubenanas and it was impressively delicious. The texture was fluffy, creamy and gooey. We visited Baonanas with friends who are fans and pros of banana pudding. She said it was okay but not the type she preferred.

I've known about the existence of this dessert place for a while, but only got the chance to finally try it yesterday. I was NOT disappointed! I got the matchananas and ube flavors topped with strawberries and they were superb! Not too sweet, which made it enjoyable to consume. Will definitely return here someday.
