"King of the Crepes This is a reliable place to sample one of Hanoi 's indigenous classics: banh cuon, or steamed rice rolls stuffed with minced pork and chopped wood-ear mushrooms. Less a restaurant, more a hole-in-the-wall with a few tables and chairs strewn around, this venue makes up for its lack of sophistication with giant-sized portions of the delicate rolls."

We went there for lunch and tried delicious rice flour pancakes, freshly made on site. The food was very tasty and fresh. The broth was aromatic and full of flavor—really excellent. The place has a very nice, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for lunch and a short break. The staff was friendly, and the overall experience was very positive. It’s definitely worth visiting this place—not only for the food, but also for the atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

This was our very first meal upon arriving in Hanoi, taken while we were completely exhausted — and it unexpectedly woke us right up. We tried it out of curiosity and were immediately drawn to watching the bánh cuốn being freshly made, which was fascinating in itself. Light, delicate, and comforting, it’s not as bold or crave-worthy for us as bún chả, phở, or bánh mì, but it’s absolutely worth trying to appreciate another side of Hanoi’s food culture. A gentle, satisfying introduction to local flavors.

These steamed rice rolls are great for breakfast. Stepping in, we were slightly lost on how to order but the staff eventually gave us a menu in English. We ordered the version with chicken and it came filled with mushrooms and fried shallots, and a dipping sauce. The sauce was savory and salty which went well with the steamed rolls. Light, comforting and delicious! Side note: If you are sensitive to MSG, just drizzle some of the sauce instead of dipping it in.

Favourite meal I had in Hanoi. Rice rolls are so soft, perfect umami filling, delicious cinnamon spiced sausage on the side, and incredible dipping sauce. Crunch of the fried shallots on top and fresh coriander makes an incredibly balanced meal. Yum.

Authentic northern style Bánh cuốn - Hot Spring rolls that are light and balance. Savory, umami and lightly sweetened dipping sauce that pairs so well with the meat cakes (Chả - Quế (Cinnamon), Mỡ (Pork belly), Cốm (With pork belly and Young Rice)). This place is a local staple and to be honest I’ll keep coming back for more.

Cheong fun Vietnamese version:) We ate here 2times in a row during our stay at old quarter area. Perfect for breakfast or just snacking. We love the pork filling and shrimp filling. Super tasty to be paired with the brown sauce. Highly recommended!

Food was good, but personally the rice rolls didn’t live up to my expectations. The cinnamon pork was a very new experience for me and i enjoyed it a lot!

Passed by & Ordered take out: rice roll with pork filling, rice roll with chicken filling, rice roll with shrimp filling all with cinnamon pork patty. They gave us much cilantro, fried shallots & vinegar dipping sauce. All was packed properly. We enjoyed the pork filling best.
