"Find Buried Treasure at Ballard Consignment If you like strange and one-of-a-kind vintage home decor, Ballard Consignment could be a very dangerous place for you. A maze of connected rooms on two floors, the store is set up as a series of furnished rooms decorated in different periods and themes (ranging from Art Deco to Asian to mid-century), with a gallery’s worth of weird and wonderful art objects on the walls. There’s also a selection of clothing and shoes, though the emphasis is definitely on home furnishings. Even if you’re not in the market for anything, this large store and its nicely displayed items make for excellent wandering and browsing."

Amazing store! I just dropped off small items for consignment, and was delighted to browse their offerings. A most welcome antidote to Ikea. Stunning furniture and home decor from all different eras, all high quality. Huge space as well. A fun place to browse!!

My wife and I just made our first trip here and were really impressed. They have a great selection of furniture and framed art, and we ended up buying a coffee table that was perfect for our family room. Andrew H was extremely friendly and helpful, as were some of his coworkers he introduced us to. We will definitely be back the next time we need some furniture for our house!

Google
This space is humongous! Such variety in pieces and everything is staged nicely! I could spend all day in here (and I did!!). They also work with a moving service that is essentially there all day for all your needs. Note, they do have a website that is updated very regularly.

Google
Great service, lots of unique pieces, and very friendly. Solid prices with some very good deals. Items rotate regularly.

Google
Great furniture consignment store! You can find lots of great options for all kinds of furniture including paintings. We got a sweet deal on two gray swivel arm chairs. Amazing customer service and a friendly team!

Google
Came to Ballard Consignment Store to just browse and see if I could find something unique. I was in the area having lunch and this place caught my eye. As I entered, I immediately noticed that there is a plethora of things to look at! What I didnt realize is how big the store is! It's a labyrinth in there! As I moved from room to room, the store just seemed to be getting bigger and bigger. If I had more time I could have easily spent hours in there. Wonder what I could find next time I come around...

Sarah Alexander

Google
Great collection of used furniture! We got a steal deal from their sister store in Greenwood Ave. called The Furniture Guy. They allow you to keep an interested piece “on hold” for 2 hours for no cost, in case you need time to make up your mind! We were looking for dressers and saw some really cool options

Max Lawrence

Google
Great place to buy furniture. Strongly recommend. Reasonably priced high quality items. High turn over rate means a) grab the ticket for what you want as soon as you see it, and b) two days later there will be a ton more choices. We got a couch, two chairs, two tables, a lamp, three cushions, and a small glass blown item.

Yelp
Super neat and huge! No clothes but something for everyone as far as a house goes. Super unique and I thought very fair prices!

Denise S.

Yelp
This place is so cool! Friends of ours go here often and took us with them this visit. There are rooms and rooms, floors and floors of quality furniture, art, lamps, rugs, bits & bobs, and more. One could get lost in this fantastic store. They seem to feature a good amount (or really good replicas of) of mid-century modern stuff and Asian inspired furniture, but there's probably something there for you, regardless of your aesthetic. And the prices are not crazy! Quality and affordable for some excellent pieces.

Yelp
My husband and I purchased a sectional couch from Ballard Consignment in October, using money we had received as a wedding gift. It was a huge purchase for us, one we sweated over for months. What we selected was not a vintage or used piece, this is a new, white-label brand of furniture that they carry in their store alongside used items. The thing was almost $2,000 and it is falling apart 5 months in, and the customer service we have received has been abysmal. The two pieces of the sectional will not stay clipped together because of some sort of defect. The clips come loose, and then will not stay latched, meaning we have to re-join the two sectional pieces almost daily. This also means pulling all the cushions off to re-arrange them. The fabric also has proven to be of very low quality, as it is already starting to pill and sag in places. Again, this is in 5 months of use. When we asked about repairs or returns, we were refused either option. The ONLY option we were offered was to re-consign with Ballard (hah!). Particularly wild seeing as the sectional's clips are broken and falling off...I assume they were just going to put it out on the floor to lure in another "all sales final" customer. Especially for such a big ticket item, this kind of rip-off stings. I have no idea what we are going to do with this couch. I really feel like we were sold a lemon, and the attitude of management tells me that they probably know this furniture is garbage, because they literally will not stand by their products. Sounds like other Yelp reviewers have received abusive messages from the business owner following their low reviews...maybe I should close my DMs...

Yelp
Eccentric, designer and high quality funds to furnish any kind of house or tiny apartment

Yelp
Amazing little shop that is not little at all. From the outside, it looks pretty small. Parking lot is very small and permit only (which you grab at the front desk before you shop). But this place is huge! Each room leads to another room full of wares. We found kitchen dining chairs, and I fell in love with a table that's sadly too big for our space. Of the 3 consignment locations in this family (Everett, Bellevue, and Ballard) this one is my favorite. Staff is so helpful and kind. Highly recommend for anyone who needs furniture, and doesn't want to add to the planets waste!

Marcus S.

Yelp
Ballard Consignment is where you come when you want one part thrift store and one part classy, vintage and does not look like it came from a thrift store. Came here a couple visits looking for cool, unique but not crazy high-priced furniture. It's good to come often as things move quick and stock is regularly changing, so if you see something you really like, it may be best to move on it. After a couple visits, we settle on a couch and a chair that looks like it be part of a set. They have so many types of furniture here - antique, art - deco, modern, mid-century, traditional, chic and much more. The service here is very nice. I've come here a few times now and, in my visits, have interacted different guys every time. What didn't change was how nice and helpful they are. Yeah, I get they're trying to make a sale or commission, but they go for giving you advice, opinions, answers to questions and even a couple of guys moved a big coffee table from another room in front of the couch we were eyeing so that we could all see how well it matched. That was very appreciated. They're very helpful here and don't come off as overbearing. What is also great is they are partnered with a delivery service. This is good because transporting heavy furniture isn't something I'm not able to do and am not sure many people want to do even if they can. You give the delivery team the details via text and then a delivery date and time is arranged. Simple. The partnership is very welcomed when you're buying here, even though they're a separate business. Got a few pieces from here and so far, so good. Will continue to pop in. If you are looking for some older and unique furniture this is the place to try. Even if you come just to look around, you can easily spend an hour or more here as there is just so much furniture. Table sets, wardrobes, bed frames, mirrors, couches, lamps, stools, wall arts ranging from small to giant sized and more covering like 3 spread out floors. So much to see and if you're looking closely, just might find that groovy furniture piece perfect for your spot.

Yelp
I loved everything about this store. It was like a rabbit warren of treasures, on the floor, on the walls, hanging over rails, in every nook. Come prepared to browse and walk away with something you never knew you needed but now you can't live without. It's heavily tilted toward mid-century, but there are many more styles, too. Definitely consider getting the $99 membership for 10% off for a year, plus $25 off your delivery from Uff Da. There's limited free parking, which is a huge plus in Ballard these days.

Ryan C.

Yelp
A cool spot in Ballard that offers a wide-variety of vintage/retro furniture, accent pieces, and decor to spruce up your living or work space. The store itself is huge and there's a lot to navigate, so even if you don't know what exactly you're looking for, it's a great place to get some creative inspiration if you're in the market for a redesign or remodel. We were impressed by the great selection of mid-century furniture they had, as well as the large pieces of artwork for those bigger walls that you don't always know what to do with. Even if you're dealing with a smaller space, there were plenty of quirky knick-knacks for your shelves and coffee tables too. The staff was around, but let you browse at your own pace without being pushy. We had a few questions and had no problems getting some insights/answers whenever we needed them. Near a ton of great restaurants, shops, and coffee spots, so definitely worth a stop-by if you happen to be in the area!

Yelp
What a gem. So many unique furnishings We'll return on a Thurs or Fri next time, though... Saturday was BUSY!!!

Heather K.

Yelp
I am from Northern CA and am a consignment junkie. My daughter just got her first apartment where she could actually choose her furniture. After hitting IKEA (yuck), I went on the hunt for a good consignment store. Checked Yelp and bam! Found this gem. It is HUGE! The people are so nice. Upstairs square footage pretty much matches the lower level. Lamps, couches, dining sets, pretty much anything you can think of you will find it here. What I love is that you can have a very small budget and still walk away with a couple of items you love. Did I mention you can have your items delivered?! Check this place out. You will not be sorry.

Yelp
After I left a review about terrible and costly experience at another Ballard furniture shop I realized I've been remiss doing my part to get the word out about Ballard Consignment. The Pros: - great mix of vintage, new and discounted sample items (see a selection in attached photos) - quickly rotating inventory and lots of very unique finds (this also means if you love it, buy it, it may be gone the next day) - delivery partnership with a team that's absolutely terrific and will scotch guard your cloth furniture on request (again see pics - our house is boisterous and messy and this service has kept our stuff pristine) - flexible - we asked them to hold a large piece a few extra days until painting was finished in our house and they graciously agreed despite it taking up valuable floor space - kid friendly - I had mine sit on many, many couches The cons: - If you are going thinking you will find the perfect XYZ that day, you may disappointed. This isn't a chain store with set inventory and that means patience and perseverance - again, if you like it, buy it - these are one-of-a-kind and undoubtedly someone else will fall in love, too - One star deducted as the staff over the years has been very inconsistent. We've had salespeople who are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and lovely and others that seem inconvenienced by ringing you up

Sebastian T.

Yelp
I had a weird interaction here. My bf and I were there looking for a few mid century pieces. We took our time and covered every room, floor, corner. A man, don't know if it was a manager or owner, approached us and instead of asking if we needed anything, says "Hey, you've been here for a while haven't you" looking at us weirdly. What am I supposed to answer and what does he mean/implying by that. I didn't see him approach any of the other person there, before or after. We had been there for like 30 minutes (normal, I think, for a big store with furniture); after that we quickly left to the farmers market. We are Caribbean Latino, brown and gay. My Microsoft manager boyfriend had a beanie on. And he went straight towards us with that weird comment. Alarm bells. F&@# this racist place. Sad because I liked this store. This was on Sunday, November 19, 2023

Yelp
High quality items, courteous staff and good value throughout. The store is well kept, large, and always full. Parking is a bit contentious - they have maybe 10 (free) assigned 1-hr spots and they must be validated at the register before shopping. Street parking within a few blocks is ample. We have purchased a few excellent pieces of furniture over the past few months. This is worth a stop on a weekend or rainy day, a lot of treasures to be found!

Yelp
I found out about Ballard Consignment Store from friends and instagram. I have been looking for an olive green couch for about a year and had trouble finding one that I loved. Then one day I was looking at the instagram account for Ballard Consignment and saw an awesome olive green couch that was from the 1970s. I drove right to Ballard Consignment and after some negotiating the couch was mine. I also fell in love with about 20 other pieces in their store, they have a wide array of furniture that I think just about anyone could find something they like. I'll keep my eye out on instagram and continue to visit this location in the future.

Chenda N.

Yelp
Hidden gem located in the heart of Ballard. Consignment pieces are in great condition with a variety of options to choose from. You'll find modern items to classic and retro. So much space is dedicated to fun and interesting accessories, décor and furniture-you'll spend your time talking about everything in there, lol. Staff is hard at work-moving and shaking and available to help with a smile. We walked away with some coffee table and wine accessories, a clock and little knick knacks. In general, the prices are more than average and on the high side. Depending on how long the items been there, take a chance and make the associate an offer. Definitely a recommended place to visit, whether you are window shopping or looking for a unique piece.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Love shopping here! Great selection of vintage and new items. Everyone there is always so helpful! Shop local with with this great store!

Terry R.

Yelp
Our new couch was delivered with damage that happened at the store. Pictures were sent to the owner who said he considered the couch to still be in excellent condition because the rips were on the backside. He said he would exchange the couch but we would be responsible for delivery cost back to the store and delivery cost of new couch home. He was very dismissive and unwilling to work with us or hear our concerns. This was a very bad experience!

Lyndi M.

Yelp
After years of window shopping (and in the middle of the pandemic), my husband and I found a couch we loved on the Ballard Consignment Store website. He called the store and requested more information about it, and they arranged everything (for an incredible price). The staff here is committed to giving customers an excellent experience, with a top-quality rotating selection of fantastic vintage (particularly mid-century modern) items, and the store is a wonderland of unique antiques, artwork and more. Even if you're not sure that you're ready to buy, I strongly recommend checking them out. We love our sofa and can't wait to return for our next big furniture purchase!

Cara I.

Yelp
DO NOT CONSIGN HERE True Story: 1) They accept my 1940s metal and glass wall sconce for consignment. The sconce is in excellent condition. 2) I call each month to see if it sold per the contract - they will not call you. 3) Six months pass and when I make the monthly call I am told that the item was sold and I can pick up my check. 4) I go to pick up the check, but there is not a check for me. The clerk checks my account and tells me that that it actually had not sold but instead that the sconce "fell apart" and was removed from inventory. 5) I ask for evidence of this. None is provided, not even a picture. I am told that they had it for a "long time" in some storage room which has now been cleaned up. This "long time" was three weeks, during which I was not notified at all about the situation. 6) I mention that the item was in excellent condition when I brought it in and should not have "fallen apart." I am told by the clerk that customers and movers break items all the time and per the contract the store is not responsible to compensate me. (Apparently they don't hold whomever breaks an item responsible either??) At best this is terrible customer service and at worst it is theft. They were unapologetic either way. Do not consign here.

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Casual shopping in Ballard on a Friday and stopped at Ballard Consignment to browse. Fun to have a look around! All sorts of solid decor and trendy furniture pieces. Fell in love with an area rug. So grateful for their mindful and attentive customer-centric service! Super happy to bring home my new rug! Great store and staff!

Scot B.

Yelp
We recently moved from Connecticut and were downsizing from a house to an apartment We decided to leave some items behind and opt for more high quality furniture that would last a longer time. Ballard Consignment did not disappoint. Their selection is MASSIVE and they have an excellent mix of refurbished vintage items and some new high quality pieces. We were very impressed by the prices as well. Before hopping to IKEA or West Elm give this place a shot.

Ellen C.

Yelp
This is a consignment store done right. They have consignment pieces but also new pieces, old vintage pieces as well as West Elm lookin' items. I love how big the store is and even though I never need anything new for my apartment, I love coming here just to browse. I wish I knew about this store when I moved to Seattle because there's some pretty good lookin' couches for very reasonable prices (even compared to a completely new couch at Ikea). People are friendly and ask whether we need help. Also you can negotiate prices here which I didn't know until a salesperson told us (and how amazing is that they are transparent about this?). My friend bought a 100% wool blanket for about $40, and it was going at $100 online (sales price at the manufacturer). I will definitely be coming here if I ever need new furniture!

Annette L.

Yelp
I've always wanted to check out consignment stores and I'm glad that this was the first one I checked out. Although, my bar is set pretty high for all future cosignment stores now. What made this place great is that everything is really organized and although they have a large assortment of items, nothing looked out of place. They have a lot of antique items as well as more modern furniture. If you're new to Seattle and need furniture, this is definitely the place to check out. Some cool items I found: - Turtle/Elephant lamp - Antique stove/cabinet - Antique cigar stand - hanging lamps of all shapes and sizes

Mia C.

Yelp
I don't know if maybe I just wasn't looking for the right kind of items, but almost everything I looked at was overpriced and/or damaged here. I was looking at living room and balcony furniture and didn't find anything remotely fitting. Shrug.

John T.

Yelp
If you are looking at consigning furniture in the Seattle area, Ballard is unfortunately the only real game in town. Victor (the owner of Ballard) also owns/runs the only other option (a place called the Furniture Guy Consignment). Victor is very selective on what he will accept (which is a good business practice), which means that most items he agrees to cosign will sell fairly quickly. So far so good. However, after you cosign and your item sells, you may not get your money. Nobody will tell you what price it finally sold for and you need to call repeatedly to get your check (even though you have given them self-addressed and stamped envelopes). The whole operation seems very shady with no visibility or transparency on what happens after you consign. Good luck!

Khadijah L.

Yelp
Great finds at this consignment store that is a mix of consigned and excess inventory. Some of the MCM style furniture are actually new, from contemporary stores. I recognize some pieces and was able to snap up an Article Lubek Tuscan brown coffee table that was still on the website for $359, for only $100! It was brand new, no flaws, probably a returned item. If you're in market for furniture it's worth checking out.

Amy S.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Just purchased a beautiful sofa and it gets delivered on Monday! There's a huge selection of really fun art and vintage furniture. Can't wait to go back and browse on the weekend. I feel the prices are fair and the staff was very nice!

Sam O.

Yelp
Edit: I was able to connect with Victor (the owner) and he clearly understood the situation. To be fair, it sounds like he wasn't aware of my phone call with the store so he hadn't had a chance to make things right. He's sending out someone to fix the couch - which is all we could ask for! --- Old review: --- Pros: Lots of great selection you wouldn't find elsewhere. Cons: I would stay away from the new furniture that they sell. My brother and I both bought new couches from them (they were pitched as white label 'west elm' couches for a fraction of the price), and they both broke within two months. The leg broke off one, and the interior wood frame broke on the other. We both have families and do not abuse our furniture - in fact I don't have another piece of furniture that's broken in my house. I called in with the issue and learned that Ballard has a very conservative return policy. I've reached out to the owner and will update this review with his response. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Interesting place if you can get over the horrid carpet and congested areas. The staff aren't the friendliest either. The owner clearly has an attitude problem (see photo)

Marice P.

Yelp
We sold our house and the furniture didn't sell in the estate sale went to Ballard Consignment very professional people their inventory is very upscale! When/if we buy another place we will definitely go there to purchase our furniture.

Diana X.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect before I visited, and one of the most incredible things is just how spacious this store is. There are 3 floors and multiple rooms on each floor. And the furniture, rugs, etc. are CHEAP compared to what they could be charging for the vintage/midcentury type of stuff. Although I didn't leave with anything during my visit, I'll certainly return if I'm on the market for high quality furniture.

Christy N.

Yelp
OMG I never knew this great place existed. Like it's totally got so much classic and new stuff. It looks way bigger then it looks form the outside. Ok like there's 2 entrances on 2 streets. 3 floors and so many totally cool small rooms filled with goodies. Like u know cubbie holes. Like I can't afford most of the stuff here. But like it's awesome to look around. They even sell those black airport seats, I had to take a pic, ok I sent my bf back into take the pics for me, don't judge. You can get like so lost in the store. Walk in and you wi like so understand. It's huge.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
Love this place! Always find some good stuff when I come here - prices are great and pieces are so unique!

Angela M.

Yelp
Very helpful with good service. The items I bought were good quality and look great in my home.

Ross S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my shopping experience here. From all f the eclectic furniture, to the vintage clothing, and home decorations, you can find yourself getting lost here. There are so many cool things to look at, and the space is so large! I was in here for about an hour after it caught my attention through the window display. The prices are reasonable, and it is conveniently located in Ballard. Definitely a fun place to check out and get your thrift on!

Danny S.

Yelp
You're going to want to come prepared with strawberries, protein powder, and an industrial-grade blender because this place is BANANAS. It's BANANAS. B A N A N A S. In all seriousness, Ballard Consignment is a winter wonderland of furniture treasure, excellent knick knacks and paddywacks. And in case you were wondering, yes a paddywack is indeed a strong elastic ligament in the midline of the neck of sheep or cattle. Room upon room upon room, the labyrinth that is Ballard Consignment has everything from your standard 3-seat airport bench to a gigantic golden ox-head which is obviously mountable from walls. Come here and be amazed at how darn big the place is; it quite possibly defies the law of physics.

Michael R.

Yelp
Reached out to owner after he publicly stated he would pay for repair. His exact words were "nothing I can do on this one." If I sold something that I wasn't proud of, I would do everything I could to fix it. Why even bother shopping there if the quality is poor and they do not honor their merchandise? Just order off the Internet and avoid the mark-up. None of this changes the fact I have two pieces of junk furniture from this place that I paid $1,000 for. If you must shop here, ask to see the furniture on level ground and if it feels flimsy, it is.

Jan D.

Yelp
This is everything a furniture consignment store should be. Gorgeous pieces thoughtfully displayed. A reasonable price point. A staff who are friendly and helpful. Huge inventory, yet plenty of room to move around. We found the mid-century bedroom furniture we were searching for, and for great price. I highly recommend this business.

Saraphyn D.

Yelp
So rather than being nice and apologetic for being misleading about a couch they sold me that was covered in paint and filled with trash once we pulled up the cushions, (Yes, I know it's a used store and I should have been more careful but what's with the high markup then if they're going to do nothing to it?! It took me only 30 minutes to clean it) the owner decided to bully and insult me, which you can see he has done to anyone who leaves less than a 4/5 star review. How does he expect to gain any business by being this way? No wonder his business is failing. He sells trash for a high price then treats you like trash if you complain about it. For this, I update my review to one star when in fact they should get 0. I am a small business owner myself and would never treat a customer this way AND I have NEVER been treated this way by any other complaint I have made to a business. He should have apologized and held his tongue if he thought I was wrong or said it in a more mature manner. People leave way crappier reviews on Yelp for stupider reasons and its their to right because this is a place for OPINIONS. Not only did he bash me on the review response in an unprofessional manner, he ALSO messaged me PRIVATELY to further intimidate me. He said I should have called him first before I posted my review. He said I should have been more careful with what I purchased from his own store. Blaming the customer and intimidating them is NOT the way to run a small business. People only do that when they know they're running a shady business. I will continue to support local Seattle businesses, just not this one anymore and I suggest you don't either.

Mercedes M.

Yelp
I recently purchased a click-clack couch from this consignment store. I'm not sure if I was sent home with the exact one I picked out for myself... when I got it home I realized it was put together incorrectly. I called the store and emailed pictures to confirm that this was the case. The response that I got was "sorry" and I was told to just fix it myself. No offer for assistance. If I wanted to put stuff together myself I would've gone to Ikea. Overall though I love browsing through this store. They have an amazing selection of furniture. Lots of unique pieces and a variety of styles and price points. I just wish that my first purchase had been a better experience.

Meghan M.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place! Came out on Wednesday and found a chair I liked, but the sign clearly stated that All Sales are Final And No Returns Allowed, so I needed to make sure I loved it before I bought it. Called on Saturday and reserved two of them. When they called back to confirm they had the chairs in stock they told me that SURPRISE! They had raised the price $100 on EACH chair!! I went in to discuss in person and spoke with the owner and even showed him a picture of the tag! I was about to buy a sofa and a lamp as well, but I was so turned off by the owners unwillingness to honor the agreed upon price that I left empty handed! Drove all the way from NE Seattle for a bait and switch! Watch out folks! Update: Hi Victor. Saw your reply. And then also your other edited reply. I'm sad that you took out the part where you said "THIS PROVES YELPERS ARE CRAZY", as that was particularly endearing. Wow. You and I never spoke in person in the phone, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I spoke to your salesperson Jeff, who also asked if I might consider paying $220 or $250 per $195/295 chair and suggested I come in and discuss it in person with you. (Sure! Sounds pretty negotiable? Why not?) Unfortunately, you and I barely even spoke in the store because you had no interest in dealing with me, even after I waited patiently for you to finish up "a really big sale" with someone else who was more important. Our entire conversation was less than three minutes. Your customer service sucks, Victor, and I'm calling you out on that. You had a chance to make this right and to turn this into a "big sale" and you blew it. I certainly don't need to be cheated AND insulted by a place of business. I'll take my cash to a family run operation that knows how to take care of their customers. Honest feedback sucks, doesn't it?

Corinna S.

Yelp
I love to wander around in this store when I'm in the neighborhood, always curious what I will discover next. They sell new and used furniture and home decor in many different styles and price segments, so I think almost everyone can find something in here. They usually don't know too much about certain pieces, but if you love it, you'll buy it anyway. They are also open to negotiate prices and offer their help throughout your whole visit. I like it here!

Diana H.

Yelp
I went to a few furniture stores before coming here when I was couch shopping. I stayed here for what felt like hours and sat on every couch in the store, but ended up going with the very first couch I sat on. It was the perfect firmness/softness for me, and seemed to be sturdy enough. It was around $1000, which is a bit pricey considering that the employees didn't know the construction details of the couch (the seller is a couch manufacturer that sells custom made couches on consignment if things don't work out with the original buyer, or they made a mistake), it is was so comfy that I bought it anyway. It's worked out well so far, although it's only been a few weeks. The employees were helpful and tried to give me the info they could.

Yelp
This place is the best! My son furnished his entire apartment using Ballard Consignment. The merchandise is top quality and the selection is incredible. We worked with Yvonne who has an keen eye for design and went over and above to help put together the apartment in under one week. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We got some great deals and I can't wait to come back here again. We did look at a few other consignment stores in Seattle and they all paled in comparison. Thank you to Yvonne and Ballard Consignment.

Yelp
I didn't know I liked furniture stores... until I first walked into this place. Ballard Consignment is a neighborhood staple that is loved by newcomers and locals alike. With a tremendous collection of furniture for any room or space, Ballard Consignment's collection includes vintage, midcentury, antique, modern, and any style in between. In one corner, a manly leather sofa sits under a set of antlers. A globe and record player are close by. In another, a white shag rug sets the space for one of those futuristic egg-shaped chairs and other eye-catching, contemporary pieces that can make your dining room look like the milk bar from A Clockwork Orange. The folks who run the store are unbelievably helpful, and are willing to negotiate prices within a small window. Ricardo has been an excellent listener, a huge source of positivity, and an overall expert amidst the stress of my recent move. He is friendly and unbelievably helpful, using his good eye to match pieces and help me create my new home. My close friend had a similar experience with Ricardo and several others at the store. He's fantastic at his job (I spent way more than I'd planned to, but for good reason), but his demeanor is more friend than salesperson. Can't say enough about this dude or this place.

Yelp
I borrowed a measuring tape to make sure the bar cabinet I was about to purchase fit in my new apartment and I accidentally returned it to the "clean" pile. The guy behind the counter shouted "Excuse me, read the sign!" in a very condescending and disrespectful tone. Needless to say, I didn't purchase the bar cabinet and will never shop there again. Avoid the guy with a lot of tattoos that works behind the counter because he is very rude and he lost a customer for life.

Yelp
I love this place! Seriously can't get enough, so I follow them on social media. They have the nicest collection of mid century mod, art deco furniture and decor around. The shop is huge, three floors I believe and it is just very nicely laid out- I mean the amount of 'stuff' is just overwhelming but also exciting like if you keep going you might find them gem of a deal! I was most impressed with their furniture, the condition of every piece is impeccable and they are 100% priced to sell. The staff here is really nice, Walter helped us out a few weeks ago when my friend was on the hunt for he perfect couch. He offered the sample books and explained how if she wanted to order something they could accommodate that as well, which is great but these vintage couches- come on! If you can't find what you're looking for here in the way of vintage furniture you probably don't need it!

Yelp
The selection here is out of this world! We went in looking for a small mid century modern table with four fun chairs and were not disappointed. Found the cutest set! Love this place.

Yelp
I just bought two armchairs yesterday that were each labeled " Leather" by the store.. When they were delivered today, I had to flip them over to remove packaging around the base. I discovered labels that said that the "leather" covering was "Made in China - 100% polyester." ***Ballard Consignment responds to Yelp reviews, so it will be interesting to see how they react to my beef.*** Update: Here is the private message I got from Victor G of Ballard Consignment. "Real asshole move. There isn't enough room to write bonded leather on our tags. Yelp review is the worst you could do. You played your hand. Glad to be rid of you" WTF!??!! Victor G. you're clearly overdue for a reality check - polyester and vinyl are NOT leather. Educate yourself brother. You say you didn't have enough room on your tags to write "Bonded Leather?" Yet you had plenty of room to label it as a "Stone Leather Glider." What gives with that BS? You must have had success with lying or you wouldn't do it so often. Nice try to shame me for my review by calling me childish, inappropriate and an asshole for pointing out your false advertising. Next time try responding to unhappy customers who review your shoddy business with some attempt at understanding before going off the deep end. It will work out better for you. If you're going to label your merchandise don't lie about what its made of. It's interesting to read all of your other nasty hair-trigger reactions to your other dissatisfied customers. It is literally NEVER your fault. What a way to run a business. I pity the people who work for you.
