"This small, unassuming bakery hidden on Rose Street is a real treat, with traditional Swedish biscuits and cakes at the core of the offering. Owner and pastry chef Daniel Karlsson prepares everything daily on site in his basement kitchen, so freshness is guaranteed. There’s a few tables to sit down, but whether you stay in or take away, don’t miss the cinnamon buns or coconut pyramids." - Assembly

"This fashionable, miniscule spot in Covent Garden has quietly emerged as one of the outstanding Scandinavian bakeries in the city, by balancing a steady and occasionally spectacular regular line-up with impeccable versions of seasonal and celebratory Swedish bakes. Its Lenten semlor and Christmas lussekatt are unmissable, while mazarins and buns are the dependables." - James Hansen

"Bageriet is a small bakery and café packed to the rafters with sweet treats, and entering it is like winding up in a particularly well-stocked Wendy house in the Swedish woods. Specialities range from slices of princess cake — a light sponge — to ‘gentleman biscuits’ — vanilla biscuits with nib sugar and apricot jam." - Alex Peake-Tomkinson

We visited this cute and cosy bakery for breakfast. They have different kinds of Swedish pastries, cookies and cakes. Everything looks so delicious that it is quite hard to make a decision. Great and varied tea selection. The staff is very polite and helpful and overall good ambients with perfect lighting and music.

Google
I visited London with the sole purpose of going to as many bakeries as possible, in search of the best baked goods that I could find. Bageriet was by far one of the best bakeries I have ever been to in my life! I’m an avid baker and dessert enthusiast and I have a high bar for pastries. Although I wanted to try so much more, I was only able to try the wienna bread, cardamom twist bun, and kaffe mazarin tart. Holy cow, was I blown out of the water by just these three things. The pastry of the wienna bread was executed perfectly. It was stunning in its layers, flavor, and texture. And the cardamom twist, which I got just to try something new and authentic to Scandinavian countries, I wasn’t really expecting to be thrilled with it. But I was very wrong! The depth of flavor was outstanding, the texture was nice and moist, and it left me in love with cardamom. To the point where I want to try and replicate something similar at home. And even the little tart was made with such skill- the pastry crust was the perfect thickness and crispness and the filling was moist and flavorful. I was literally wowed by everything that I had and I can not wait to go back to London, because Bageriet will be one of the first places that I stop.

Probably the best cinnamon buns I had: not just a numbing, blunt sugar bomb, but a well-balanced, complex mix of tastes. (Still a sugar bomb though don't worry!) They also have many special Swedish pastries you've never heard about, and all of them are great!

Kelvin Goh

Google
Service was warm and friendly, recommending which pastries to try. Notgrotta (Extra buttery shortbread with hazelnut chocolate) indeed had a buttery crumbly melt in your mouth tart base with molten chocolate within. Josefin (Almond tart with orange) had a nice balance of almond (not artificial taste) and refreshing orange. The cinnamon bun, which I thought would be the highlight, was quite disappointing. Not as fluffy as I thought it would be. And a bit too much cinnamon.

Tucked away on a quiet pedestrian side street in Soho, Begeriet is a tiny Swedish bakery with just a couple of small metal tables outside and a compact indoor seating area. The display is minimal, but it showcases a tidy selection of classic Scandi-style pastries and coffee. I tried the Vienna pastry which is similar to a strawberry coronet with custard and strawberry jelly, topped with fresh strawberries. Even after about four hours in a takeaway bag, the pastry was impressively crisp. The custard filled most of the centre—though not quite to the bottom—and the pastry was finished with a simple dusting of white icing sugar on the sides. Overall, it was well-balanced, fairly light, and a reasonably good example of Scandinavian baking. The main downsides are the price—£5 for a single pastry is steep—and the lack of space to sit comfortably, especially indoors. Still, it’s a charming little spot for a quick, high-quality treat if you’re in the area.

Google
The bakery itself is very warm and cozy, though small indoor but enough space for few tables, also nice tables outside on Rose Street, everything looks yummy, for my first time I tried their classic cinnamon roll, it’s the perfect balance between the soft aromatic dough with the crispy sweet sugar pearls on top. I’ll definitely go back again to try more of the sweets and breads.

Google
Rose Street is a narrow connecting street off Long Acre at Covent Garden. The street is easy to spot if you are on Long Acre because it is almost next door to the FUJI shop. It is TINY inside - just big enough for four friendly people to sit - or two not-so-friendly people who want a narrow table to themselves. I walked to Covent Garden and took some photos and then walked back and there was room so I went in - and had an Americano and a coconut cake with a raspberry on it - and bit into the raspberry to find it was infused with raspberry jam. Delicious, and really hit the spot. The coffee was good too with a generous amount of hot milk on the side. Very friendly and attentive staff. A place with bags of personality.

Lily

Google
The only thing I could possibly complain about is that I was not lucky enough to get a seat inside this cafe. Thankfully, we were able to sit outside. Can we talk about how nicely decorated the interior of this cafe is?? The food was so delicious! Each pastry offering its own special taste. My favorite thing that I tried was the princess cake! The Swedish desserts deserve a medal. The prices here are also very good for what you are paying for. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Sensational bakery! We stopped in right as they opened and many items were making their way from the kitchen into the display cases. We ordered one of just about everything that made its way out when we were here. This is the coziest, sweetest, most yummy bakery. It was a chilly morning and Bageriet exemplifies hygge to a T. The candles, coffee, warm, plush surroundings are the absolute coziest. I could have stayed in here all morning, eating treat after treat but we had somewhere to be ;) so I had to wrap it up. Highly, highly recommend. Fantastic, friendly service. Dare I say, better than any bakery in Sweden.

Yelp
This was such a small, cute, unassuming bakery tucked away in the busy streets of Covent Garden that I walked by it several times during my time in London without trying it out. On my last day however I finally caved -- and I'm so glad I did, because it turned out to be one of the best bakeries I tried during my time here There were so many beautiful rolls and pastries that I had no idea where to start, but the lady behind the counter was very sweet and described all the baked goods and noted the popular ones to help me figure out what to order. We landed on the kanelbullar / cinnamon roll (since that one seemed to be the most popular) and the sugar pretzel (that one just looked really amazing) and I was immediately in heaven when trying both of them. They're so unassuming but the cinnamon roll was so sticky and delicious and the sugar pretzel was so much fluffier than I was expecting. Neither were too sweet and were perfect with a cup of coffee My only regret is not trying it sooner -- I definitely would've returned several times to try everything else (and to get a couple more of those sugar pretzels)

Caroline P.

Yelp
They were so nice and the pastries and coffee were delicious! Definitely recommend as a quick bite before exploring London!

Yelp
Bageriet is a charming hole-in-the-wall Swedish bakery tucked into an alleyway in Covent Garden. Walking by, you'll be enticed by the delightful decorations and tantalizing pastries visible through the window. There's often a line, but you can oogle over the sweet treats while you wait. The interior is just a tiny counter for ordering and paying (it's all for takeaway only). The bakery really comes to life during Christmas, when you can get the tasty Christmas bun (fun flavor profile with cardamom), alongside classics such as mulled wine (with raisins and almonds) and hot chocolate. Though I'm sure it's a fun place to visit at any time in the year! Swing by if you're looking for a sweet baked good to brighten up your day.

Chris M.

Yelp
Very nice small bakery, mostly for take-away although they have a couple of small tables outside. I had a pastry of which I didn't catch the name but that was really good, not too sweet and with a good delicate flavor.

Haley P.

Yelp
Good pastries, wonderful staff. Would surely go back for another slice of Princess cake

Beth C.

Yelp
I visited here with one goal: a slice of Princess Cake, which is very difficult to find in America (outside of the little frozen version from Ikea). I've wanted to try it since I saw it on Great British Bake Off. This bakery is incredibly small--even with a map app, we had to loop around to find it tucked down an alley--and their few tables were occupied. We got the cake slice to go. Let me tell you, the Ikea version has nothing on the real thing. It truly is a royal cake!

Tina W.

Yelp
ALERT:: THIS IS A SWEDEN BAKERY SHOP. Location: another shopping circle, where I cannot recall its name. I found this rare bakery shop in a small valley. You have to really watch the sign and try to be focus so that you may end up here. Place is small, three tiny tables, I was quickly served and introduced by their crazy good looking bakeries. By the time I ordered their pieces and then sat down, I felt like this place is too tiny to be here for more than 20 mins. Food: I had their traditional cake (SORRY, I FORGOT THE NAME) It looks very much artificially unhealthy but it is surprisingly good. The cream is not at all sweet but serves as a buffer to introduce to its bottom cake. Service: nice. price: nice Overall: like I said, it is a great place to visit and try !

Gavin Y.

Yelp
Swedish style. Nice dessert. They got so many kinds of cakes which suit everybody's taste

Andie B.

Yelp
Bageriet is a lovely little spot in Covent Garden. As a lover of Scandinavian style cinnamon roles and Bageriet has one of my favorites in London. The texture is perfect and it's the perfect amount of sweetness. Their other baked goods are also absolutely fabulous

Jonathan V.

Yelp
Kokostopp (coconut top) was delicious. The cake inside was super moist. Only a couple small tables inside, so we just got ours "to go", and stood outside.

Yoona L.

Yelp
Bummed about this three star, but just got off the phone with them to let them know they forgot to write "Happy Birthday" along with the name on the cake. Clearly asked for that greeting and was just told to write down the name for spell check. Man on the phone said, "next time if you email us you will have no mistakes." So..they expect drop in customers to email them as well so they don't make mistakes? Wouldn't admit it was their mistake. Ended up just pulling some passive aggressive stunt and blaming the customer when a simple sincere apology would have sufficed. Lousy. Pity because the girl in the front was friendly & helpful in store. Whoever was on the phone, for shame. Oh and I got an overwhelming dosage of powered sugar on the cake which I didn't ask for. Covers up the beautiful green color to the princess cake..which is kind of the whole point. I'll take my business elsewhere next time.

Yelp
I don't usually write about coffee shops because I don't really drink coffee. But Bageriet on Rose st is definitely worth an honorary mention. Bageriet is the tiniest coffee shop on a tiniest side street near Covent Garden. Depending on what you are familiar with, it's next to Peruvian restaurant called Lima or opposite Stanford, the map store. Their speciality is Scandinavian cakes. They usually have a few Danish pastries at the window, and have cakes and breads inside. There are two tables inside and one small round table and a pair of garden chairs. That's it. You can imagine it's very hard to find seats on weekend afternoon. The cakes here are just brilliant. When I have some free time on weekday, I like to sit on one of the seats and indulge myself with a cake or two. Don't judge me. They are really good. I even order a coffee occasionally as it seems to be what grown-up people do.

Alina R.

Yelp
I had a flat white which was very good and a Lussekatt (Saffron bun) which I think is available only in December. In Sweden they serve Lussekatt for St. Lucia (December 13th). Not to mention that the staff is Swedish and they are very nice and welcoming. I love Scandinavia so this place is a piece of heaven in London for me.

Angelique M.

Yelp
HOLY MOLY! this tiny place is a secret heaven tucked away just off the main street! Delicious food, beautiful herbal and fruit teas.. I saw coffee to buy by the paper bag so I'll be back to try that... the staff are so friendly, and the interior itself manages to be both clean and cozy. Love!!!

Simon W.

Yelp
A tiny gem- immaculate cakes, coffee strong enough to raise the dead, all delivered in an atmosphere of Nordic efficiency and calm. I wouldn't plan on descending on this place with your ten closest mates ( four of them wouldn't get a seat for a start), but for a more intimate group or to take away I thoroughly recommend this place.

Vivian Y.

Yelp
Tiny little cafe in a hidden alleyway. I discovered this place via yelp on my recent trip to London. The place is small, with 2 communal tables situated on the side of the cafe. I ordered their infamous princess cake and the barista situated me into a seat as if it was a dine-in cafe (kudos point!). The cake came quick and at first glance I thought it might be too heavy. However, the cream was much lighter than I thought and the marzipan exterior added a different texture to the soft cake that I appreciated. They had a bunch of other pastries that looked equally delicious. However, my one stomach was unable to try all of them. Would I come here again? Of course; I would like to try the other pastries as well. I probably won't eat the princess cake again (even though it's good) since I've had better.

Matt G.

Yelp
Super small, like being in someone's 1-bedroom apartment kitchen. Some customers seem to think its a good idea to plonk themselves down with a book and block a seat in this little space for hours. I applaud the initiative to serve hard to find Swedish cake treats. The staff even speak Swedish, so I suppose they know what they are doing. They were sold out of Princess cake, which was the reason I came here. They have semlor, which is probably seasonal. This is a white bun with whipped cream in between top and bottom. Other cakes are mazarine, coconut top, cinnabun and other cakes that I've never seen in Sweden. The lack of seating will stop me from coming back. They have most of their cakes sitting out in the open next to where people line up to order. I imagine you are in for a germ coated cake here. Not even covered with plastic, or anything , makes me question the sanitation.

Yelp
I walked out of Stanfords & the most amazing smell assailed my nose. It was like fresh wine was being mulled, it filled the street and it only served to make me extremely hungry. I had bookmarked Bageriet on Yelp, quite some time ago and since it looked like it was in the area, I decided to head there for a coffee. (Its in the tiny lane running along Stanfords) Imagine my surprise when the aroma got stronger as I got closer to this cafe. I had to ask & the lovely lady manning the counter said that it was the smell of the ginger & spice cookies baking in their basement kitchen. The cafe is really tiny, just enough seating space for around 6 people (tight fit) and a tiny table for 2 outside, but it was raining, so I just picked up a bunch of stuff to bring home. On heavy recommendation, I tried the Princess Cake - this was layers of sponge with custard and raspberry jam and a marzipan/fondant like icing. It was so pretty & colourful & I loved the taste, but the Mr. wasn't too keen on it. The Mazarin / Notkongress & Almond Tart were a amazing. My outstanding favourite of all the things I picked up on this trip were the hazelnut tarts. But then, I do love hazelnuts. I also picked up 2 packs of tiny Swedish cookies - almost like shortbread, but Oh so good. They just melted in my mouth & ***Guilty Confession***, I finished a whole packet with a cup of tea. They brew fresh coffee on site, but I didn't try any on this occasion. They seemed to have 3-4 sandwiches at the counter, but 97% of what is sold in this store, is firmly in the "sweet" section. The cinnamon buns too are very highly recommended & they did look good, but I'm not a big fan of bread/buns. I'll take cake & cookies any day. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality is very very good. Looks like I will be stopping here, each time I am in the vicinity. #YelpEveryDamnDay

Yelp
I honestly must leave a review for my top gastronomic experience in London. This diminutive jewel of a bakery entices like some Hansel and Gretel tale from the window, with an array of varied pastry creations. An oversized brioche like pretzel with a dusting of icing sugar like fallen snow. But my fantasy remains the danish with cardamom and Apple. Boy do I love danish. It ain't brioche and it ain't croissant. It's a bit rich and a bit soft. Just rich enough but less so than brioche to me. And to get that with cardamom which you basically never can get anywhere. Perfection. Great robust (horribly overused word in politics nowadays that deserves its own analysis why) filter coffee, a brewing method hard to find on this side of the ocean. A world of tradition here, going centuries back in time.

Saar H.

Yelp
Was looking for some pastries and coffee. The place is small, two tables of 4 people each. The coffee was delicious and my appelbulle was amazing. The service was great too. Worth checking out

Santino F.

Yelp
This place is amazing! We love the bakery and all of the bagels they have on here. We just ask that anyone who comes here please try the coffee. It's the best coffee in the entire world. I live in the USA- but coming here was the best thing that I have ever accomplished. I highly recommend their cream cheese as well. It makes me ponder my life and if I should should consider buying a pet lion. Think about it. You are the me and I am you.

Arianna L.

Yelp
Honestly I'm so sad I didn't buy another princess cake. Nothing here in America can compare to the amazing tastes this bakery had to offer I'm so utterly sad when I think about how I only had 1 slice. Ugh londoners you're so lucky! Enjoy a slice for me !

Esther K.

Yelp
Immediately I was drawn in by the array of goodies displayed at the front window. In particular, I spied what appeared to be a sugared donut/pretzel hybrid that I've never seen before that I wanted to try. The shop was small and we were disappointed there were no available seating as I would have liked to stay to order a coffee to "Fika". The pastries tasted as good as they looked. We ordered a few varieties including a slice of their Princess Cake that was delightful. I really dislike too sweet Marzipan and theirs was perfect. The wonderful and friendly staff welcomed and bagged everything nicely for us. This shop is tucked away in an alley away from the buzzy areas of Covent Garden. But it's worth the visit if you happen to be here.

Ela T.

Yelp
Proof that the Yelp concept works - saw Nicola W post a review about this place, thought, WHAT? There's a Swedish bakery around the office? Went there and tried the Princess Cake and, SOLD! I read on Wikipedia that this Marzipan cake is called the Princess Cake because the 3 Swedish princesses love this cake. What a touching story. What is even better is that if you ordered this £3.80 slice of cake, you will then fall in love with the cake like Princes fall in love with Princesses! It's so light and fluffy inside. The marzipan doesn't over power you with sweetness (I am usually not a fan of marzipan!!!!) The shop is tiny but it's very cosy, and all the bakery products look amazing. There are maybe 2-3 tables to sit on so you have to be fast or be prepared to do a takeaway instead...I have introduced at least 5 people to this place already, I am sure I will hear good things about it from them!

Felicia T.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite little hideaways, just a short walk from Covent Garden /Leicester Square tube station. There's limited seating so it's not always guaranteed to get a table - only able to seat approximately 8 people, or 9 if you squeeze in an extra chair! They have a great selection of little Swedish pastries - I especially love their cinnamon buns, so light and fluffy! Also loved their coconut macaroon...and their meringue shortbread... I haven't tried all of their pastries (yet!) but they all look really good! Their hot chocolate is also very rich and indulgent with a nice hint of cinnamon. They do a selection of the usual teas as well as some Scandinavian ones. It's very cosy inside, and the staff are also very friendly. I'd definitely recommend a visit, whether to sit in or take out :)

Christine T.

Yelp
Really adorable small cafe. Can be tricky to find but in my opinion, definitely worth it. It's more of a hole in the wall feel. I wouldn't plan on getting a seat but be prepared to want to buy a variety of goods. I think everything is good so you really can't go wrong. I will definitely be coming back as many times as I can.

Reshard R.

Yelp
Exceptional coffee and baked goods. The helpful service staff will also go out of their way to ensure you are aware of the specials and taken care of. Very cute environment and rich coffee that wakes you up and makes you properly alert.

Orianna X.

Yelp
After visiting Stockholm and tasting their delicious fika pastries, I was keen on finding a good Swedish bakery in London, and Bageriet hit the spot! I tried the princess cake, cinnamon bun, and chocolate ball along with the largest cup of tea I've ever seen (it was practically a bowl!). All of the pastries were very tasty, but the princess cake definitely took the cake! The sponge cake was soft and light, with a layer of creme, raspberry jam, and of course, pastel green marzipan delivering the perfect amount of sweetness. (I'm drooling just thinking about it.) As other reviewers have mentioned, the seating is limited, but my friend and I were lucky enough get seats by the window. The servers were friendly and kindly recommended pastries and refilled the hot water. All in all, I love this place and plan on coming back to try the other pastries/biscuits.

Nicola W.

Yelp
Loves this little gem hidden away from Covent Garden 's busy streets. Came here to collect the traditional Swedish Birthday cake for a friend, immidateately attacted by all their little Swedish cakes, pastry and cookies. So why not have a quick lunch here? Friendly staff, the delicious smell of pastry and cakes! They have a selection of special teas to go with ur lunch! The two Swedish owners bake their cakes in the downstairs kitchen everyday, so everything is so fresh!! Can't resist the wonderful smell!!! Surely come back!!!

L L.

Yelp
This little bakery has amazing pastries made in Swedish style. The coffee was very good, but rather strong for my weak coffee drinking ability. Service was friendly and I will be back.

Kim N.

Yelp
I go to London for Christmas every year. Tried to get here in 2018, but they were closed for an extended vacation between Christmas and post-New Year. So always check their hours! It's not difficult to find with google maps, but Covent Garden has many labyrinthine wee streets! Very cosy inside, 2 small tables, seating 4 each. Be charming and someone will undoubtedly share with you. Now- to what's on offer! There's hot chocolate and it's lovely, BUT it's Christmas time so the HC is warmly spiced with cinnamon, cloves, and I believe a touch of nutmeg. If that doesn't appeal to you, have a coffee. The pastries are many. Lots of things with cardamom, this is a Swedish bakery, almonds, hazelnuts, and even a morning bun with some apple! That's delicious! Several things with a custard filling, my favorite being a palm sized shortbread heart that was generously filled with the not-too-sweet-nor-eggy-custard. Beautifully laminated doughs that crisply shattered when you took a bite. The staff that morning I was there was lovely and patient. Not everything is labeled, so, unless you're Swedish, or a regular, it's difficult to tell what's what. But, as I said, they patiently explained the various pastry to me. But as soon as I'd settle on a selection, someone would bring a few more freshly baked items from the kitchen! Oh well...good problem to have! Lol

Jonathan J.

Yelp
Tucked away, we had a little trouble spotting the bakery but it was so worth it. Take your treats to a nearby courtyard and you'll be blown away. Really good value!

Jason L.

Yelp
Best baked goods of my trip to London! Loved the soft vanilla cookie, the marzipan cake was the best cake of my life! Beyond fresh ingredients and both deserts melted right in your mouth. Great tea and coffee. I wish they had more seats (very small shop) please open in the United States! No good Swedish Bakery's like this in Los Angeles! (Maybe one good one in Santa Barbara)

Lucienne S.

Yelp
I just can't get enough of their bakery and deserts! Keep coming back. Such a lovely place for a short break and afternoon tea.

Ji-hye Y.

Yelp
Once you try swedish sweets, there's no way you can forget about it. After my trip to Stockholm, I missed princess cake dearly. That moist silky sponge cake filled with custard and whip cream covered with delicious marzipan! Now I can get it here in London at Bageriet! The cinnamon roll was okay, not out standing but still worth to try. Hope they serve semla and apple kaka too. Ah...I am so going back there. Writing this review made me hungry!!!

Maura C.

Yelp
Came her with my husband for a little stop off during our honeymoon. Came in the late afternoon for a cup of tea and a pastry. We got a vanilla bun and a raspberry coconut pastry. Both were so good. The girls inside were super sweet and the ambiance was perfect. Warning, this place is very tiny, but it's worth it to even stop in for a pastry to go. If possible though, grab a seat at one of two tables inside and enjoy!

Darrell F.

Yelp
Super cute little Swedish bakery. The girls inside were amazingly friendly and helpful, especially considering the sheer amount of stuff we bought. The pastries were really good. This place puts all the little French bakeries to shame.

Maple S.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic little slice of Sweden tucked away down Rose Street in Covent Garden. I went in to get Lussekatter for St Lucia's Day, they were light, fluffy and delicious. The lady behind the counter and the chef were patient and helpfully explained what all the goodies were. I also left laden with Cloudberry Jam, VörtBrod* and Blackcurrant Rye. I won't say what the Baker/chef did but it was a kind and generous and generous gesture. Tack!

Sofia L.

Yelp
From outside (where we had to wait in line!) you can smell the cinnamon. You walk in and are transported to a petit Swedish lodge. I had always wanted to try princess torte (not from Ikea though!) and was not disappointed, I was even considering a second slice. It pairs excellent with an espresso.

Hannah I.

Yelp
A cute little Swedish cafe in bustling Covent Garden. Their Swedish cinnamon buns are absolutely delicious. My only remark would be there is not enough seating but it would probably ruin the atmosphere if they added more!

Michael V.

Yelp
Just a lovely place to have a coffee, with lovely people working there in a lovely little street that i would never have found without Yelp..!!! A really nice place to have a rest when you've been walking all day long in the city ! They also have many products which looked so delicious, i will have to come back again to try them all !

Nickie C.

Yelp
So I went into the actual bakery today, and the five star deliciousness still rings true. It's a tiny, awkward space, and a little pricey- but totally worth it. I had a lovely hazelnut thing - a cave, perhaps - and it was full of flavour. Need to go back for a cinnamon bun!

Sar P.

Yelp
If you love marzipan as you must must try their princess cake as it is one of the most delicious things you will eat, I didn't try anything else but everything looked good

Alex S.

Yelp
I adore this spot. In part because of its very special location tucked away - ever so sneakily! - from the craziness of Covent Garden. The smell of cardamom in the air really got me; it's a smell from my childhood, and you don't smell it a lot. My eyes went directly to THE PRINCESS CAKE (watch this season of Great British Bake Off if you want insight on how challenging it is to get right) but I settled instead on some dark rye bread and one of the cinnamon buns. If you haven't had one before: Swedish cinnamon buns are a special treat. Cardamom in the dough, and then a sweetened cinnamon filling. Perhaps the most distinctive - and enjoyable - feature is the rock sugar traditionally scattered atop. Who doesn't like a little crunch with their baked goods? It's basically the cool adult version of a sprinkle. There's seating both in and outdoor, but it's limited. Coffee is strong. Service is lovely and attentive. Super fresh. I will be back for more...promise. Yelp note: also some prepackaged heartier cookies and things like rye crisps with honeyed nuts to take to go...perfect hostess gift (if they can last)

Sara L.

Yelp
Great place in Covent Garden. Super friendly staff! It's small but has a lovely atmosphere. Definitely try the kanelbulle (cinnamon roll), chokladboll (chocolate ball) and some strong Swedish coffee. I'd recommend this place to anybody.

Dwain C.

Yelp
I'll keep going on the tradition of 5star reviews so far. The pastries, shortbreads and tartes are exceptional. Plus they stayed open late for us so we could get a few treats for the next morning. They were closing the door as we arrived late from the tube. The pastries just didn't quite make it in whole back to the hotel. So no pics. Sorry.

Yelp
Gorgeous Swedish bakery with a wonderful selection of baked goods and great coffee. I went for a classic cinnamon bun which was really fresh and miles above any other I've tried in terms of both flavour and texture. It's a really cosy little space too with lovely staff. Definitely worth seeking out - not that difficult to find, a little side street off Long Acre. Was instantly sorry I didn't buy more to take away with me!

Yelp
Super tiny bakery with just a few tables and chairs, but that's really all they need because their pastries are just so tasty and their staff so friendly that people will pop in to get their hands on the deliciousness, even if they have to eat on the run. There are so many unique sweets to select from, and in modest portions as well so you can buy up a few and split amongst friends. They have the tallest coconut macaroons I've ever seen and the fluffiest sugared pretzel breads too, but if you do go for the first time, you must absolutely have a slice of the Swedish princess cake (or prinsesstårta). These are the delightfully pretty green cakes in the glowing refrigerator beside the cash register, and one slice will only run you only about £3.60. This option is particularly good for those who enjoy vanilla pudding, fresh cream, and fruit jam, because there are generous layers of all three wedged between thin layers of white cake, and of course, all topped with a beautiful layer of green marzipan dusted with powdered sugar and topped with a chocolate swirl.
