"Baccarat Hotel & Residences is located in Midtown." - MICHELIN Guide
"Few names evoke luxury quite like heritage skincare brand La Mer, so it’s only fitting that the line’s debut New York City spa be housed in a hotel with a similar reputation for extravagance: The Baccarat. Though the crystal-filled hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just one step inside the decadent Spa de La Mer will send a wave of tranquility and relaxation over every visitor. Although the expansive checkered, marble-tiled pool is the most obvious source of water at this gorgeous spa, hydration remains the focal point of every treatment. The La Mer Miracle Broth Facial harnesses the power of the brand’s coveted Miracle Broth to optimize skin’s performance and bring it back to its healthiest state, and The La Mer Body Treatment combines shiatsu, acupressure, and Swedish massage techniques to enhance circulation, balance energies, and leave skin soft and smooth. The spa’s newest treatment, a 90-minute Red Carpet Facial, meanwhile, erases signs of aging with a revolutionary peptide complex that blocks muscle micro-contractions, resulting in a temporary, Botox-like effect." - Gabby Shacknai
"Unwind at the Baccarat Hotel New York with luxe accomadations, daily breakfast in bed, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of Laurent Perrier Rosé. The hotel's More Amour package is valid on stays between February 1-29, 2024."
"For a taste of the city’s most luxurious bar offerings—and copious amounts of crystal all around you—look no further than the gleaming bar at the Baccarat Hotel. In addition to afternoon tea service and dinner, The Bar offers an extensive wine list (including one of the most extensive champagne offerings in the country), specialty cocktails, and all-day dining spearheaded by two Michelin-starred chef Gabriel Kreuther. Offerings range from the bright and fruit-forward Luz Negra (Bacardi Ocho, Tesseron Composition Cognac, blackberry, coconut, and acid-adjusted pineapple) to more spirit-forward libations such as La Dame de Coeur (Laphroaig 10-year, Carpano Antica, Cappelletti, bitters, and Bowmore 18-year Spritz). Whether indulging at the 60-foot bar or at the Grand Salon next door, sipping straight from crystal-cut cocktail glasses has never tasted so good." - CNT Editors, Vicki Denig
"How did it strike you on arrival?Unabashed opulence is what you get as soon as you step into the lobby, and there's a feeling that no expense was spared. Fittingly for a hotel opened by the renowned crystal company, there are about 15,000 pieces of the brand's sparkle throughout, including glassware and chandeliers. Arrangements of fresh red roses everywhere add a touch of color. What’s the crowd like?Lots of international travelers occupy the hotel and, as expected, are well-off and well-dressed. And as the hotel is right across from the Museum of Modern Art, it's a place that naturally draws in contemporary art fans. Most importantly: Tell us about your room.Parquet wood floors, sleek cream and white contemporary furniture, marble side tables, cashmere throws, and floor-to-ceiling windows all combine to create an atmosphere of supreme refinement. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed is a dream, snowy white and extremely comfortable. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention?Endless little touches are what make the hotel such a special experience, like the Baccarat tumblers in the bathroom and crystal sconces on the wall. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Pristine white marble bathrooms are large and include luxurious products from French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. We could all use some good Wi-Fi. What’s the word on that? There is complimentary Wi-Fi. Anything stand out about other services and features? The hotel is home to the only dedicated spa in the U.S. by cult beauty brand La Mer. The La Mer Miracle Broth Facial is a particularly popular treatment. The indoor pool is also a draw, and a new outdoor terrace, Le Jardin, is open seasonally. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? The fact that it's a singular vision from Baccarat is something to behold. The popular Grand Salon restaurant, known for its afternoon tea, and the Bar, where ornate chandeliers and Baccarat glassware elevate the cocktail experience, are the best places to understand the vision. Bottom line: worth it, and why? It's expensive, but it's clear within a few minutes of being here you're getting the best of everything." - John Wogan
