Azzedine Alaïa Foundation

The foundation is an hommage to the great designer. You can take a look in the well conserved atelier which was covered after his death and re exposed after five years. The central space has nice expositions with dresses and design objects. The bookstore has all the books about Alaïa Azzedine and his work.

I really enjoyed seeing the garments up closely.. however the exhibition is very small and I expected far more as far as designing a whole space for the exhibition instead of relying on a beautiful building with great fashion items.. no story told. The best part was seeing the little design studio upstairs.

One of favorite places in Paris. Every time I come back for new exhibition.

A gem of a space hidden in the Marais. Saw a really lovely exhibition and a nice lunch in the courtyard. Alaia was an incredibly talented designer and an insight into his work and workroom in this remarkable space is definitely worth seeking out!

This exhibition on madame Gres and Alaia is breathtaking! The view on the inside of the atelier on the first floor is such a gift for fashionista's!

Superb. Came especially from London to Paris to see it. Gres is a personal favourite and to see her work alongside Alaïa was inspired. A wonderful space and a very, very special exhibition. Thank you to all.

Truly magnificent collection on display and such a special experience to view Azzedine’s work studio on the top floor. Loved the interplay of designs and history of Madame Gris to give context to the Alaia designs too. Highly recommend for those who love design, fashion history, and / or the Alaia label. So thankful it is open to the public to enjoy and inspire.

Exceeded expectation, highly recommend if you’re into fashion and design!
