Aubergine Kitchen

The portion size was so small. They did not even fill the container (see picture). It didn't even fill me up. In the past hundreds of orders, the same container was filled up and so was I. Such a great place with wonderful options. The food is so delicious, but to pay this much for this little amount is not acceptable. Unfortunately, a long time customer is done.

While the food is amazing I was really disappointed that the “Thai” sauce is a curry sauce!! yellow curry to me is Indian, not Thai. I wish I didn’t get the “Thai” bowl. I didn’t want a yellow curry bowl :( they should add in the description “a curry dressing” instead of “Thai”.

Update: took away a star because today I ordered a $13 smoothie that when I recieved was tiny and tastes so bad and I waited 20mins for it. Love the healthy selections from bowls, salads, açaí bowls, smoothie, desserts, coffee and teas. Today I got a harvest bowl and it was seasoned well, super healthy and large in quantity for the price. Service was great everyone was friendly. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu.

The manager & staff are excellent! The manager is a friendly and hardworking guy. The food is exceptional, healthy, fresh, and flavorful. So many good choices on the menu! We are whole food plant based and a few of our favorites were the acai bowls, tofu peanut bowl, and the mediterranean bowl with baked falafel. We went several times while visiting SLC!

I absolutely love Aubergine! It's the only place I trust when eating out because of their commitment to high-quality ingredients. No matter what mood I'm in, they have something that hits the spot, and I genuinely mean it when I say everything on the menu is amazing!! If I had to pick a favorite, the Vitality Bowl or the Tri-Tip Madeira would be at the top of my list.

We had a great experience . Even though it was busy, the cashier was nice and didn't ignore us while we waited to order, she asked us to wait a little till she finishes making smoothies. Our food came quickly, and I liked that they let me know when my meal would take a bit longer. The food was really tasty and fresh. I remember when they first opened in Lehi, and their menu has grown a lot since then. Lots of choices for everyone's taste! Definitely worth a visit for good healthy food and a friendly atmosphere.

Food is nice and light, and filling! I had the Egg Avocado Bowl. Customer service was just ok. The lady who took my order was kinda rude when I asked about how the eggs were cooked since the menu didn’t specify. Food was good though. I will go again.

Clean place in SLC, safe to eat here as a gluten-free, sugar free vegan! It's so nice to have healthy options when you want a comfort food like Mac and cheese or a cookie :)

I love the beef melt and pita with a side of hummus from Aubergine Kitchen! The service is always great. The people are so nice. It's nice to eat something healthy and totally satisfying!

The food was so delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. Also the staff looked after my sister and were incredible.

I have enjoyed all the meals we've ordered here! I've had my order wrong once but they were quick to fix. The salads are well made, but I wish they were a little bit bigger for the price.

Protein Crisp salad is my absolute FAVORITE! My daughter and I go just for that salad and Brazilian Cheesy Bread. Ingredients are so fresh and clean. I love it!

I ordered the rio bowl with extra dressing. I love the dressing!!!! The bowl was very filling. I do wish I would've subbed the kale for Romain lettuce. The kale made it a little too difficult to eat with its texture compared to the the other ingredients of the bowl. There is ample amount of chicken and other ingredients. I found one and a half cups of the dressing was the perfect amount for my bowl since I like a lot of sauce. I ordered my food online, and when I arrived, my order wasn't quite ready since I was early. The employees were happy to get my order ready for me early.

We had mango salmon bowl, vitality bowl, the nice açaí and a strawberry cheese cake. Everything was so Devine!!! I live in Sacramento but visit often and will be coming back with my son. It was delicious!!

very yum. the drinks were alright and wish i didn't spend $4 on any of them haha. but the spicy coconut curry was delicious. the chicken was not dry and they gave me a good portion. didn't interact with the workers much but they were cleaning up tables often. we sat outside and it was really nice weather so perfect for this kind of meal. would definitely come back and i love that they give good portions and options but it is "healthier" than others.

Went here for dinner with a friend and split two dishes. I ordered the mediterranean bowl, which had some delicious hummus and a lot of veggies. It tasted very fresh. The only complaint would be that the falafel was too dry. My friend ordered the coconut curry bowl, which had chicken, curry sauce, sweet potatoes and rice. I thought this dish was better than mine and had a unique flavor with the sweet potato and curry sauce. To wrap it all together we tried the Butterfly Tea, the best drink on the menu, and all of the self serve teas and lemonades. Of the self serve drinks, we came to a consensus that the cucumber mint was the best. Overall Aubergine was a good experience but does have areas that could be improved upon.

It was my first time here and I had some difficulty on what toppings and dressings I could add or customize to my bowl and Christian did an amazing job assisting me.

Sugarhouse is a good location and the space was clean and open. Good here is always great. Vitality bowl is awesome. We doubled the protein. Staff was helpful and let us try some sauces before making our order!

I googled healthy food driving back from a long drive through the national parks and on my way home to Vegas and this restaurant popped up, so I went for it and Wow, soooo happy I stopped by. Delicious! Wonderful for people like myself who are diabetic with just an array of health concerns stemming from food. I can't eat in restaurants due to all the fat, carbs and sugars they put in their food. this was just wonderful and didn't spike my sugar. I can't wait to go again. Yum.

Super popular joint for some healthy salads, bowls and more. Lots of people for the tummy meal options. Loved my protein avocado crisp and their cheesy bread.

This place is pretty good. it reminds me of Sweet Greens (IYKYK) I'd give it 4.5 if I could, but I'll round up. Pros: They have a diverse menu. I'm very much a seasonal eater. I prefer fresh in warmer months and comfort in colder months. I could find both here. I had the salad with steak. I was impressed with the steak prep. It was flavorful and not overcooked. That's often hard to find in a "quick bite" place.The price point matched the size of the salad. I'll be back for the warm bowls in the cooler months. They also had sandwiches if you're not a salad/bowl person. Their food is diverse and you can substitute proteins and other things if needed. They also had GF and Vegan options to fit other dietary needs. I think almost everyone could find something here. They also had dairy free dessert options! Cons: Seating. It's probably due to the set up of the space, but the tables were relatively small aside from long ones in the middle. If you go with a larger group, it might be hard to find a spot to sit together if it's a busy time. It's a quick bite, but some of the tables could use a wipe down in between customers. It was by no means gross, just some crumbs that were easily wiped away and it's understandable with the staffing shortage. Overall, I'll be back. Service was quick, the food is good and has plenty of options.

We have been here since they opened, today we noticed their food portions are getting a lot smaller than last year. We spent nearly 50$ for two bowls and kid Mac cheese and walked out still hungry. Their service is still in place through. I hope they will be more generous about feeding customers.

I love Aubergine! They have tons of different things to choose from like pizzas, salads and grain bowls. You always know you will leave satisfied no matter what you order. I like how this restaurant is focused on whole nutritious food that tastes amazing! I love the yellow curry bowl, tri-tip Madeira bowl and the Rio bowl the best! The sweet potatoes are soft and flavorful so don't skip those. They also have "nice cream" which is a dairy free and made from frozen bananas. They offer açaí bowls, smoothies and healthy desserts as well. There are a few locations throughout Utah. There is an underground parking garage and they do validate. This is a casual restaurant where you order your food and then sit down to enjoy your meal.

Love, love, love Aubergine! I have a ton of food sensitivities, and it's one place I know I can have a good meal that fits my needs.

This was my first time here with two others and it was pretty good. They have a fairly decent size menu with lots of health type foods. I got the chicken caprese sandwich and it was very yummy. It didn't blow me away though. The sandwich was small and not filled very much with the important aspects. On the side it came with very measly weak small salad that I didn't even try and eat. They also have a dressing on the side of my sandwich which was the highlight of the meal tbh. Basic concept of health foods but again it seems more money than it's worth. Totally a place for working class adults who have a lunch break. Probably wont be back again since I got hungry again an hour after I ate my food. But still nice place overall

We loved all the vegetarian bowls here ! Visited this place in the beginning of the summer and they had a lot of veggie/vegan options The quantity is pretty good and they taste absolutely delicious The service is pretty quick and they have been very accommodating for our requests ! We enjoyed the food here so much that we came back the next week! The smoothies are pretty good too but they are on the expensive side Overall a great place and I would definitely want to visit this place when I go to Salt Lake City again

Got food poisoning. Checked out their scores on the SLC Health department website... it was really bad.

I was excited about this place because the food is good for you, and it tastes good. They tout themselves as being all about a healthy lifestyle, however, they have no regard for food safety. You can look up their rating on the Salt Lake County Health Department website to see their abysmal rating. Unless you want to get food poisoning and spend the night in the hospital like I did, I would not recommend this place. Others in my group got sick after eating here too.

Been here a few times to get dinner and it's nice healthy food but pretty expensive for the portion sizes. They do have a lot of dairy free and some gluten free options which is great for those who have food allergies. Parking is rough bc of the location so beware of that.

We were disappointed. We placed a $58 order online Tue, Jun 28, 2022 at 6:14 PM (I have the email receipt attached here - order 613273089) that said it would be ready at 6:45 PM. When I got there at 6:40 PM it hadn't been started and the receipt they gave us that was taped to the bag said 6:40:59 PM, which is when I got there and asked about the status of my order. Here is what we ordered: Greek Salad (GF) $14.70; Spicy Coconut Curry Bowl (GF, DF) $11.95; Side of Asparagus Variation: Large (serves 4) $7.90; Goodness Bowl (GF, V) $14.70 which can also be seen in the photo below. Let's take a look at we were given for the asparagus in the attached photo. The two small slices of cold pita bread were also pretty underwhelming. So, even if the bowls were good (which they were), the rest, particularly the sad, small, overcooked, cold, old asparagus, made the whole meal a bit depressing. To make matters worse, when I got home and opened the order, I called. No one answered and there was no way to leave a message. It just said "call back later". So, I went online and submitted a comment on their Web site. No response there either.

Delicious! The tofu was a little too firm/hard for my liking but overall very flavorful dish. Very filling and liked how healthy it was. There was lots of different preset bowls to pick from and a build your own bowl option. I wish they would open up other locations in different states.

The good - easy to get healthy options everyone can enjoy. Folks even ate the leftovers for breakfast! Keto friendly. Location validated parking. Service was meh. Space is fine. Could sit outside if preferred.

This place is sooooo good! I got the Banana Monkey smoothie and the Chicken Caprese Melt. The restaurant is so clean with plenty of space, the staff is nice and lines go fast. My Chicken Caprese Melt was so flavorful, fresh, and filling and my Banana Monkey smoothie was sweet and satisfying. It was a great, healthy meal that left me feeling full and nourished. I will be back soon!!

Tried this local joint for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options. They have several fresh, single serve pizzas to choose from, along with single serve bowls or wraps. We tried the Rio Bowl and Tuscany Chicken Pizza. The Rio had a nice hint of spice along with tangy notes from the dressing to blend with the turmeric rice and grilled chicken. It was my first time having kale as that was an additional side in the bow along with avocado and black beans, and the kale was surprisingly a good fit and did not overpower the meal. Tuscany Chicken pizza was we flavored, but not as hot as you would like for fresh pizza. I believe this is due to the lower quality oven that they use to prepare them which can't compare to a fresh blazing pizza oven. Great marinara paired with fresh tomatoes and grilled chicken, we enjoyed it but just wish they had a way to drive the temp UP. Overall we were impressed. Aubergine packs in the flavor and is priced fair. We will likely return.

I have visited twice in the last few years when stopping through SLC and both times I've been nourished! The expansive menu of options, paired with fantastic flavors makes this a repeatable dine in option. I had the Thai Bowl with chicken. Veggie heavy (yum), sauced up, and three different flavors working in harmony. I would have preferred a little more chicken, but other than that, I would definitely order this again. I also tried the Cucumber Celery drink and loved it. The desserts were actually healthy and good for you! Try one of everything!

Went to Cubbys and had terrible customer service as usual so I left and came here. The staff was so helpful at answering questions and I got a delicious Spicy Coconut Curry bowl (which isn't spicy, I'm a baby and it was just yummy). I got the falafel once before here and it was dry, I think it's bc it's premade(?) The GF deserts look amazing too but I didn't try one yet. So, Augergine 1 Cubbys -12 Glad to have a healthy, gluten free option while running errands.

3.5 stars. I know it's a chain, but I'm still going to reflect on my experience. My partner and I were on a road trip from Utah with the dogs. Though he's been on a restricted diet, Aubergine fell in the okay-to-eat zone. Hooray! We parked the car and found seats in front of the restaurant with umbrellas that shielded us from the sun. We ordered through the mobile app and went inside to pick up our food. I decided on the Mediterranean Bowl, while he got the Spiced Coconut Curry. We both got some flavored lemonades (made with date sugar & fruit) as well as water for the pups. I thought the falafel was a little dry, but the hummus and tahini supplemented that texture well. Overall I love that there's a healthy food chain in Utah, definitely preferable over other fast food spots. It wasn't crowded at all, and parking was easy to find. I like the variety of options on their menu, from pizza and sandwiches to smoothies and acai bowls. Everything is customizable and family-friendly!

Aubergine means eggplant in French, but they offer so much more than just vegetarian meals. They have bowls, wraps, salads, pizzas, that offer a variety of proteins, from tofu to tri-tip steak, as well as everything in-between! They also have breakfast, smoothies, snacks and more, all with the idea that when you "eat better, (you also) feel different!" What their motto should've been is, "healthy and delicious meals, make life better!" Because their food is not only healthy and delicious, but it's super #instagramworthy too! I mean, their avocado toast, topped with #BURRATAA cheese and Za'atar spices, is crazy delicious! So beautiful too! If you need more cheese in your life, which just happens to be my life motto, then you should also go for their #Braziliancheesebread , so light and airy, you won't even realize you ate 4 in a row! Lol Their drinks are just as fresh! I enjoyed one of their fruit juices + the piña cogreen smoothie! Since all of their items are super wholesome, you'll feel full, straight away! Overall impression: Give this place a try! It seems slightly priceyish at first but they give huge portions and it's delicious! Average price: $9-12, kids portions are about $5 and super big Ambience Clean, lots of space to eat here if you want. They validate for parking if you need. Kind of like counter service which I really like. Value Incredible. The amount of food they give is at least enough for two meals. And it's delicious Service They were great with us, very efficient and they were nice too. I will definitely be back and you should too.

Good food to make your body feel good! Loved that I could find a place that makes dairy free, vegan, and gluten free options. Having food allergies is so limiting when traveling. This place hit the spot so hard! The serving sizes could last for a couple meals. Loved it

Nice little spot to visit when you're in Sugarhouse. Got the spicy coconut curry bowl, which was really good, although I think the person preparing it was new because she gave me not a lot of food in it. Girlfriend got the Mediterranean bowl which I thought was meh.

I'm so sad about this experience. I was SO excited to try this place. I ordered the tri tip bowl and added avocado. As I was picking out the raisins from the carrot salad, I pulled out a long black hair. Disgusted, I started scooping out around the area and pulled out ANOTHER long black hair. It was so so gross. I'm a blonde, so it definitely did not come from me! I ordered this to go and was already back at work in Bountiful before I opened my food so I wasn't able to go back and get a refund or anything. Super disappointed.

I'm obsessed with their dream salad. All the flavors together are perfect. Also their jalapeño dressing...to die for. I crave this place!

Enjoyed a quick meal here today while seeing a friend. Seating could be better as I'd say it's somewhat tight. The food was good. My falafel were a bit more on the crispy side, perhaps sitting out longer than normal. It was a large plate, but commensurate with the higher price.

Super high quality, fresh salads that are both healthy and delicious. I live in the fresh salad capital (Los Angeles) but order lunch whenever I'm in town.

A friend recently suggested we meet here for dinner. The menu is full of healthy exciting options and it was hard to decide what to get. Ultimately I got the Mediterranean bowl and overall it was delicious until you got to the dry as a rock falafel- would guess it had been made days ahead and sitting out! I also had the Banana Monkey smoothie, which was also good, but not exactly what I expected. Sadly, all 3 of us had stomach cramps that night and the next day, and cannot pinpoint why apart from eating too many veggies. Overall, won't be back.

This place has slowly decreased in quality over the last year. Today's cheese bread was so hard, I could drive it 300 yards with my pitching wedge. The chicken has always been dry but today it was ten minutes away from crumbling. Sad I spent almost $40 here just to order dominos. Won't be back for a while.

Great for those on a whole food, GF or Keto diet. Plenty of great options. Simple fare that is, perhaps, a bit under-seasoned. Quality ingredients. Well thought out, broad menu. Clean location with fast and friendly service.

If you want to waste money buy a brownie bite for $4 and get exactly one bite this place is pathetic. Could this brownie be any more of a rip-off give the people what they want!

Pretty decent, the main dude is rude and condescending. I asked how many grams of protein is in his smoothies and not only did he not know the answer, but he seemed annoyed that I even asked. There's something off about the energy in this place: there's no music, no "life". Prob won't be back. His staff looks like they're afraid of him -- or they just think he's a noodle head.
