Such a delight. Service was so friendly and willing to explain about the food and make recommendations. The wild boar stew was so delicious. My husband had quenelles of fish in a cream sauce which may sound odd to an American palate but was genuinely delicious. We really enjoyed every moment.

It’s is pity that photos of classic dishes rarely look as good as those of modern ones. Yet the explosion of flavours that we experienced here last night reminded us that the constant race for what comes next is not always an automatic solution to providing the deep and intense pleasures that what came before can so often provide. Fantastic experience!

Got here at 8pm but somehow left at 10:50pm not because we were enjoying our time, because we were waiting for our food to arrive. The bread, butter, cheese and desserts was good. However, we ordered the yellow wine chicken and we were left disappointed with our food. Considering we were paying €39 for our food we expected the food to be more flavourful and the meat to not be so dry. The food was also relatively cold and considering we waited so long we expected it to be more fresh.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant wasn’t the greatest. Firstly, we highly recommend making a dinner reservation; otherwise, you’ll have a long wait for a table. When my partner and I were seated, we found ourselves extremely close to our neighbors. The person seated inside had no way to get in and out without moving the table, which was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. It was also difficult to get the staff’s attention as they were extremely busy, and when we did, the service felt very rushed. Food-wise, the escargot and foie gras tasted nice but weren’t amazing or refined. The veal kidney dishes are certainly not for everyone, especially foreigners, so make sure you know what you’re getting. The French fries that came with the main dish were cold by the time they reached the table and soon became inedible. Their famous soufflé dessert, although light and fluffy, was too sweet for our liking, making us wonder why it's so popular. Overall, we felt the experience wasn’t worth the price. If you do decide to go, make sure to make a reservation, specify your seating requirements, and be prepared for a busy and noisy environment, especially at dinner. Oh, and unless you’re willing to pay €8 for a bottle of still water, just ask for tap water.

The cozy little restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a wonderful place to experience French cuisine. Both waitresses were very warm and provided excellent service and the dishes were delicious. However, make sure to book a table at least a day in advance! At least during my stay in Paris, they were very busy every day.

A highlight of our trip so far. From the chicken Wellington with local mushrooms to the fabulous chocolate soufflé not enough words only describe our experience. Please put Auberge Bressanebon your must go list

Traditional dishes in a traditional environment with excellent service and good wine selection by the glass. Their headline souffles did not disappoint.

I booked this restaurant well in advance of my wife and I spending a couple of days in Paris. The atmosphere is very authentic and the food was very good, but just not great. I had the Veal Chop which came with a rich morel sauce. The problem is that we ordered a starter of stuffed morels which was in the exact same sauce. So I quickly tired of the same, very rich mushroom sauce. This is something the wait staff should have pointed out. My wife's Chateaubriand was average at best. The soufflé was great however. Overall, a very good, just not exceptional experience.

Yelp
This is such a cozy lunch spot. I went here with my mom and her friends and we had a lovely 2 hour lunch as the French do! I wasn't starved so I got escargot and a side salad. They also brought out bread for the table which was perfect for my escargot! The escargot was so buttery and garlicky, just delicious. I also tried my mom's tagliatelle with morels which was lacking some salt but otherwise pretty good. We also shared a bottle of champagne because why not, and my mom and I shared the chocolate soufflé to round out our meal. It was so rich, and the chocolate was dark and delicious, not too sweet. We also ordered decaf espressos which were a great compliment. The only negative (if this even counts) is the bathroom is TINY and only has 2 stalls - 1 for men and 1 for women, but it's so small you can barely turn around.

Yelp
Made a reservation exactly 30 days in advance(when they start accepting them) as we had only one free day to experience one of our favorites. We arrived about 30 minutes early and there was not problem. They had a booth reserved for us and it was perfect. It was toward the middle the restaurant and I could watch all of the beautiful plated of food being served. We ordered a lot of food for us as we usually order only two dishes and share. So, we started with Escargot and a Green Salad, followed by White Asparagus served with a chopped egg and a vinaigrette, and a Comte Souflee served with a small side salad. All of this to be followed with a Trio of Mini dessert Souflees. All were absolutely delicious but a there were a few standouts... - The Escargots were amazing. And although I ordered only six some were smaller so there were two in a little pocket of the dish...so I got about 11. And I guess I was lucky because I like the small ones better. - The White Asparagus were huge perfectly cooked. The vinaigrette was the best of the three week trip. There is just something about the flavors of the asparagus paired with the chopped egg and vinaigrette that make it pop. - The Comte Souflee was melt in your mouth delicious. It arrived and it was a beauty standing tall about 3 inches above the rim of the dish. - The Mini Souflees arrived and we were in awe. Three little beautiful sights. Which one will be the winner? We selected the Grand Marnier, the Caramel, and the Pistachio. We tasted and talked, tasted and talked...the winner was a surprise to both of us. It was the warm homemade caramel one. And it was the winner of the whole meal. Service was perfect. We had the same person that waited on us a few years ago before the pandemic. She is now the manager of the restaurant. Congratulations. Can't wait to return. Recommend a reservation.

Yelp
How perfect for our first night in Paris!! We tried the chicken in mushroom sauce and the chateaubriand which were both delicious. The mashed potatoes were sublime and the haricots verts crisp and fresh. My favorite was easily the profiteroles.

Sandrine L.

Yelp
Traditional French cuisine and very good. The service not so much, very disorganized, totally ignored us for 45 minutes while people who just got there got to order ... we almost left but are glad we stayed, the food was certainly worth the wait. I had the Quenelle and my wife had the mushroom pasta and the trios of soufflés. I don't think I would go again, but I would recommend.

Elaine J.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for the charming atmosphere and returned a second time for the food. We would have gone a third time during our four weeks in Paris, except that the restaurant closed in August. And we didn't visit any other restaurant a second time. I am a big fan of foie gras, and theirs was the best I tasted in all of our time in Paris, including two very fancy blow-out dinners. My husband swooned over the Grand Marnier souffle. Yes we enjoyed our main courses, too, particularly the chicken a la creme. And we found the staff most welcoming and friendly, almost as though we were regulars. There was a mix of tourists and locals, more so than in most restaurants we ate in. Definitely a place to enjoy the flavors of Paris.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Very good French restaurant a bit off the beaten path in Paris. Service was great and the food- especially the coq au vin- was very good

Sarah K.

Yelp
Literally the best meal I have eaten in Paris.... Service was superb. Wine was divine. Ambience was perfection. Get the frog legs, get the sweetbreads, get the quannels (misspelled)! We went 10 years ago and it was amazing and even better this time around. The manager was FABULOUS!

Walter A.

Yelp
Went back after 10 years. A bit of a tourist trap. Dishes were hit or miss. We went at 7:30, when they open, and the waiters seemed overwhelmed, even though it's surely like that every night at 7:30. The coq au vin was extremely dry, basically inedible. The soufflés were as good as ever. Overall, a mixed bag. Skip it and find a better brasserie.

Rachael C.

Yelp
Uuuuuuhmazing. I came here on a friends recommendation. Everything was amazing and the tables around me looked amazing. I had the chicken and the caramel souffle. I highly recommend both. I also really enjoyed the Pinot blanc from Alsace. Oh and the bread was

Stella S.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! This is probably the best meal of my life! We went there on a Saturday night (3 adults and 2 kids). The service was perfect, they were very accommodating with the children. We tried the foie gras, la poêlée de girolles, the famous chicken dish, the beef, and les quenelles. Everything was Devine! I wished we had room For dessert but we were so full! The portion size are generous. If you are looking for the best possible French cuisine, go there! Thank you L'Auberge Bressane for your wonderful work and accueil!

Sherry Z.

Yelp
A reluctant 4 stars. Only because I enjoyed the souffles so much. Get the mini trio to try all the flavors! I don't know which one was my favorite but I was smiling from ear to ear while eating them. The rest of the food was good, not great. These reviews hyped up the chicken in yellow sauce so much that I was prepared to get my mind blown; unfortunately, my mind was still perfectly intact by the end of the meal. But that is not to say the chicken wasn't good - the sauce was tasty, albeit on the heavier side, and I made sure to get every drop with the accompanying fries. The coq au vin in retrospect was better than we had initially thought - or maybe the coq au vin we got subsequently during our trip in France was just not good. The verdict is still out on this one, but the waitress recommended it to us over the other options so they must take pride in their rendition of this classic french dish.

Yelp
A fantastic dining experience in Paris. Wonderful, attentive staff that addressed our every need and question. Started with the cheese soufflé to share with the table. Great beginning btw. Our group had various entrees. Tagliatelle with morels. Scallops with garlic. And veal chop with mushrooms. All delicious. Ended with the chocolate, Carmel and Grand Marnier soufflé trio sampler. Great wine list and help from the staff to work through it. A "can't miss" dinner option in Paris. Small place so make reservations.

Alan B.

Yelp
We came here because it was across the street from our AirB&B apartment during our vacation in Paris. The food and service was wonderful. It is traditional French country cooking. We tried the house special, chicken with morels. Yum. The chocolate soufflé was perfectly light and fluffy. So we went back the next night. The staff remembered us and treated us to a glass of champagne. We tried coq-a-vin and beef Wellington. Both were wonderful. Had the chocolate soufflé again. This was our favorite find in Paris and it was a lucky random pick.

Ian G.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous taste of French food! Our group had a three course meal, getting a variety of appetizers and desserts to try. The food is made fresh when ordered. I would highly suggest to anybody. The waiting staff was very good as well. Overall, I would come back again in a heartbeat!

Enzo S.

Yelp
From the generous portion of foie gras, to the rognons, and the pigeon, to the excellent cheese soufflé, and the gelato merengue chartreuse flambé, each dish is well prepared, and ready to be paired with a concise but well chosen wine list. Staff is cordial but not invasive -- what a relief! (I live in California) Not many tourists this time of year -- especially at lunch, when there aren't any at all, it seems. For me, that's just perfect!

Angela T.

Yelp
The ultimate "Gastro pub" of Lyonnaise fare - old school French favorites at their finest! Hearty and generous, this is a Paris gem. The yellow wine chicken with morel mushrooms is creamy & dreamy (a must order item) served with a generous plate of perfect pommes frites. Great wine pairings. A rustic ambience and passionate yet playful staff make your meal more than memorable.

Yelp
This spot is an incredible spot in the 7th for bresse chicken aficionados. Between their coq au vin and their decadent poulet aux morilles - you will have a happy belly. Prices are moderate for paris standards, as main plats from 25-35€. Ambience and decor is traditional, old and tavern-like feeling, but it is casual and relaxed for groups and families. Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time since this seems to be a popular neighborhood restaurant and the lovely maitre'd is warm and friendly (also speaks English well).

Eric N.

Yelp
Stayed in the Rue Cler area for a family vacation and found this restaurant searching online for authentic French dining. Out of the entire week in Paris this was our favorite place. In fact, it was so good we went there twice. The restaurant specializes in soufflés and we shared the Crab Soufflé, and a trio soufflé desert. Also tried the Coq Au Vin and Beef Tenderloin. Everything was wonderful and well prepared.

Ed W.

Yelp
The secret should be out - this is a fabulous restaurant located in the heart of the 7th. On a Sunday night, our second in Paris, we were stumbling about. A good friend recommended a spot named Bistro Stella, but it was a long subway ride away it appeared and there was a tad bit of jet lag still lingering about us. So I decided to roam the streets of Paris, and it didn't take long for me to realize (1) most restaurants are closed on Sunday and (2) my efforts to read a French menu and distinguish between good and tourist trap was futile. I needed Yelp, and activated international roaming. Well worth it. Within seconds, I located L'Auberge Bressane, and it's excellent reviews. I walked by, and it was 7:30. There were zero patrons. So we continued walking, taking in the sights and smells of Paris. It was now 7:45. Two patrons. Keep walking. Finally, at 8:00, and with two tables of two seated, we walked in the front door and were promptly greeted in French. We smiled. They politely showed us to a table, after confirming we did not have a reservation. Who would have thought that by 9:30, half the restaurant would be filled with a bustling clientele of tourists, locals and American celebrities (who shall remain unnamed). It was really one of the most charming meals I had in France, and it was hands down the best soufflé I have tasted in my life. I started my meal with Sausage lyonnaise, sausage served with potatoes and herbs and stuffed with pistachio. Served warm, the warmth of the sausage combined with the soft potatoes and the cool herbs was a blockbuster combination. Times I've eaten something similar in the USA? Zero. Really a wonderful starter. I had coq au vin for my main dish, served with macaroni and a deeply condensed sauce. Sitting alongside the flavorful mushrooms were three big chucks of slow cooked rooster. Times I have eaten rooster before this? Zero. Loved it. My wife had a puffed pastry stuffed with two types of mushrooms, sweet breads and herbs. My wife had never eaten sweet breads before, and she ate the entire meal. Except two bites, which were for me. This was a delicious dish. For dessert, we split a chocolate soufflé, and it was simply incredible. Never in my life have I had a soufflé that was so soft, so flavorful and so light

Angelica V.

Yelp
Came here by recommendation of a friend. Close to effiel tower but not touristy yet we heard alot of english in the restaurant. I ordered the puff pastry with aspargus and morels-- highly recommend as a starter. My friend had the cheese souffle, really good and pretty to look at. I ordered the crayfish dumplings and did not like it. I expected a tamale type thing and the crayfish was nowhere in sight. But we ended the meal with the salted caramel souffle.. the best!

Hali M.

Yelp
Oh my I think I will dream about the souffles at L'Auberge Bressane. I thought I knew what a souffle tasted like - then I took a bite of their souffle trio and I know that every other souffle I ever ate was simply a lie. They are so incredibly light and fluffy it is almost a miracle. The main courses are delicious as well, full of rich and hearty options. I thought the coq au vin was delicious - the meat just fell off the bone. My boyfriend got the tagliatelle and I was in love with the fragrant mushroom and cheese sauce. All in all a fantastic meal in a cozy, friendly restaurant.

Wade V.

Yelp
What we had was the coq au vins, cheese souffle and chocolate souffle. Both souffles were great, puffy, light and very flavorful. The service was great and I'd definately go back, but as the other reviews stated its alot of food. The stand out moment is when the chocolate souffle was served. The waiter had us make a hole in the top, he then drops down 3 chocolate truffles. Then pours alcohol all over and sets it on fire... cool flambe . The only reason I didn't give this place a higher score was because of the coq au vins. It was a bit try and didn't taste fresh, it was probably stewing for quite some time and tasted a bit tough and dry.

Courtney K.

Yelp
Very authentic French restaurant. I would make a reservation before coming here, we came by on a Thursday evening and it was packed. Luckily we were able to make a reservation for later that evening. We started with the crab souffle, it was pretty big, I'd suggest sharing it between 3-4 people. We also tried the oeuf meurette, which we didn't care for and also shared the crawfish appetizer, I can't remember the name, that was really good. One friend had ordered the coq au vin, it was really good, again, could almost share it among 2 people. The other two of us ordered the steak with fries dinners and it was delicious, the steak was pretty tender. Finished it off with a trio of dessert souffles! All three were really good!

Kristen S.

Yelp
NOT a tourist trap. The locals actually eat here. Hooray! As far as what to order - you just can't go wrong here. I had the coq au vin - it was perfection! Made friends with the couple at the next table - forgot what they ordered - but they all looked delicious!

David M.

Yelp
By far the best coq au vin I ever had anywhere! Would have been 5 stars if 3 requests for water had not been fulfilled!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Best dinner we had in Paris! We ordered the escargot to start, I had their famous yellow chicken dish which was absolutely delicious, my husband had the Dover sole, and we had the 3 mini soufflés for dessert. It's a charming restaurant and a wonderfully french experience! Service was warm and friendly.

Ann B.

Yelp
American to American, avoid this place. Went last night and the dish we got (famous chicken in yellow sauce) was basically boiled chicken with a sauce for 30 euros, served with some fries. Other entrees not impressive though big portions for both chicken dishes, could have been shared. The salmon and potato appetizer tasted more like smoked salmon, definitely not worth it. Bread at start was not warm, and the little thing they give you when entering is on disposable paper cups. It is expensive, not impressive, I would avoid. It's hard but find another place!

Felipe N.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who grew up in Paris. She mentioned that it was authentic, traditional French food and that the decor was lovely. I am not very well versed with French food, but I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I ordered the veal sweetbreads, foie gras and the famous soufflés. The prices were comparable to restaurants in New York City, and the richness of the meal was something that stayed with me long after I left Paris.

Debbie B.

Yelp
Popped in to this restaurant our first evening in Paris because it was close to our hotel. I had doubts, I usually like to try and research and be adventurous in my choices. Auberge Bressane was charming and wonderful. The staff was friendly with our minimal to no French. I believe we were the only non-french there. Tables were European style, very close together and they pull it out for you to access the banquette to sit. Clueless about specific French wines, we asked our server to recommend one based on our likes that was reasonably priced. It ended up being fantastic. I had free range chicken with morels in a creme sauce. Served with a side of pomme frites that I wasn't too proud to dip into my sauce. Hubby had tagliatelle with morels in cream. Both wonderful. But the piece de resistance was the salted caramel soufflé for dessert. OMG! Run, do not walk, and get you some of this. This is what Paris is all about folks.

Ember L.

Yelp
Love love love! The service is the best so far compared many local French restaurants, passionate people very friendly who work here, good atmosphere, authentic French food of course. I tried their special menu for tonight, everything is above my expectation! I ordered half bottle wine at the beginning but we end up finished the entire bottle, unbelievable, will never forget how good the food here.

John D.

Yelp
A friendly local recommended this restaurant and we loved it. It's packed with locals which is a great sign. We had an amazing artichoke appetizer - incredibly tasty. They are famous for their chicken, which had an amazing sauce, as well as their dessert souffles. Friendly service and we felt welcomed even as tourists.

Andrew B.

Yelp
The best food we had on our trip to Paris by far! This is by no means a tourist hangout either. The restaurant was filled with Parisians. We hand picked this place and when we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed. My wife and I decided to sit outside and wait for a table to open up based on how welcoming the staff was and how highly this place was recommended. The staff was so helpful since we don't speak French very well. Definitely ask for duck! It did not disappoint! If we're ever back in Paris, we're definitely coming back to this little gem!

Kim P.

Yelp
My search for coq au vin was complete! Fall off the skin chicken with flavorful red wine based jus. Also had steak frites (a whole yummy plate) with a pepper something sauce and the soufflé trio for dessert . Omg the grand mariner, chocolate and caramel sea salt!!

Mac P.

Yelp
Great food. No cuisine nouvelle here, rustic, hardy dishes executed with a lot subtlety. Had grand marnier souffle, poulet bressane with great french fries. It's not cheap but probably the best meal 50 euros will buy you in Paris these days

Susan W.

Yelp
Walked into this sweet, lovely place last week with my traveling companion . She looked at menu and demanded we leave. How I wish I would have stayed and let her go. I missed a very special meal. Never travel to Paris with someone who dislikes French cuisine. I am home now in Buffalo NY. Very sad.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
We had lunch today at L'Auberge Bressane based on good reviews and recommendations of their prix fix lunch. We asked our waiter about the prix fix and were told they were only offering a la carte. After a delicious but very expensive lunch, we noticed the Prix Fixe menu on the bar as we were leaving. We felt taken advantage of and it wiped away any good feelings we had about this place. Not a good way to treat your guests

Robb A.

Yelp
Comfortable local bistro. Some dishes slightly undercooked: steak, soufflé. Very well-prepared. Engaging staff.

Kevin D.

Yelp
We had a great lunch here. The beef and frites were fantastic and the soufflé fromage was very good. The service was and the fraise sorbet was very fresh tasting. Highly recommended!

Andrew C.

Yelp
What a fun restaurant! I've been to Paris many times and have had many great meals there over the years...but this was one of my most enjoyable dining experiences and a great surprise (although not sure why it's really surprising). My wife and I decided to go to Paris to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. For our anniversary, we went to another restaurant in the 7th District that was recommended by a guide book (I won't say which one) and it was fine, but everyone in that restaurant was American and seemingly had the same guide book. Although the meal was fine and I'm American, I didn't go to Paris to be surrounded by other Americans, so on the way home we decided to look around a little bit for a restaurant for my birthday. We passed by L'Auberge Bressane and when I looked inside, I knew it was where I wanted to go. You could tell it wasn't filled with tourists, but actual Parisians. Not only that, but everyone inside looked to be having fun...and I was jealous! On my birthday we arrived early. The restaurant opened at 7:30 pm and we got there about 7:35ish, which I understand is very early for Parisians so we were one of the first to walk in the door. Not surprising that there weren't many people there yet, but by 8:45 or so, the restaurant was packed. As travelers, we always give it a go with as much French as we possibly can (which is very, VERY little), but the waiter could obviously tell we were English speakers and made us feel right at home in English. They seem to have a team approach, so we had, if I remember correctly 4 different people help to serve us. Since it's a restaurant that specializes in cuisine from Lyon and Burgundy, they have some REALLY great wines that in many cases are also REALLY expensive. I told our waiter what I was ordering (wild boar) and he recommended a perfect wine to go with it from a list of less expensive bottles. I think this particular bottle of wine was 45 Euros. With some wines on the list up to 500 Euros and many well over 100 Euros, I really felt that the waiter was trying to recommend a good wine pairing rather than sell me a high priced bottle of wine. That was great and a great sign of things to come. The rest of the service was just fantastic. The staff seemed to genuinely be having a great time at their jobs. They were warm, friendly, and fun interacting with each other and the patrons. We sat in the back and it was great watching the wait staff going back and forth into and out of the busy kitchen because they had to kick the swinging door open (since their hands were full of plates, etc.) and there were many "near" collisions with each other as one person was leaving and one was entering. My wife is a vegetarian, so the Comté cheese soufflé was out of this world for her. HUGE and delish! She got the seasonal mushroom appetizer that was amazing as well. I had the poached eggs in Beaujolais wine sauce with bacon and small onions as a starter.....OMG!!! So good! I love game meats, so I had the Wild Boar. Perfect! We wanted to have one of their soufflés for dessert, because they look so amazing, but we were totally stuffed....buuuuutttt....since it was my birthday, we decided to share the Crepes Suzette Grand Marnier, which they cook tableside with flaming Grand Marnier!!! YUMMY!!! Finally, as we were getting ready to ask for our bill, and I was chatting with one of the waiters, I casually mentioned that it was my birthday. Well, he said he was going to go get me a glass of Armagnac and that I "can't refuse it". So he brought two glasses...on the house....one that was 6 years old, I think and one that was 12 years old! I ended up drinking both because my wife doesn't like brandy (she doesn't know what she's missing :-P). Overall, an amazing dining experience. Great people, seemingly not overrun with tourists, and fantastic food. I'd recommend someone order one of the soufflés in your party because they are so amazing. This place has it and I'll be back the next time I'm in Paris. Such a fun experience!

Jason J.

Yelp
Good food, over crowded ( literally elbow to elbow )Not a tourist restaurant for sure. Red meat was ok, crab soufflé was awesome.

Andy E.

Yelp
Brought our 2 kids here on a reccomendtion from our concierge, he was spot on. The puff pastry with sweetbreads and mushrooms was out of this world, and the orange duck was also money.. The children (5&7) enjoyed the bread, chicken, and frites. Everyone freaked out on the grand marnier souflee at the end!! The waiters are funny and patient with our shabby French.

Barry L.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Paris, which I have to travel to once a year on business. Every year I go there, and it never disappoints. It certainly seems to have very few tourists, and least none speaking English. However, they always seem to have one staff member who speaks English, and the others try to help where they can. They are very nice, in a warm (not formal) sort of way, and I feel VERY welcome and at home here. The place is always near full, even on a Thursday night in January. The staff is uber professional, its almost as if they are choreographed as they serve dishes in a small space. The menu is very traditionally French, I believe, which means 1/3 of the menu are things I would not touch with a 10 foot pole (SweetBreads, Cows head, other oddities) but everything I have eaten there has been great. I'm sure even those oddities are good if you try them. I have had the Free Range chicken, the suckling pig, the terrine, the Pike, the fois Gras, as well as soups and salds, and my wife thinks any dish with their wild mushrooms is to die for. You can't really go wrong here, I'm pretty sure. However, it is the dessert souffles that are what puts this restaurant over the top. They are absolutely, positively the best dessert I have ever had. Whether its the caramel, the flaming Grand Marnier, or the apple with calvados, it is so soft and flavorful, words cannot capture its exquisiteness. This year, I took all my direct reports, since my wife did not accompany me to Paris. I told them the staff this was my 3rd annual visit, and I expected to be back next January, they gave all four of us Cognac for free as an apertif. I love this place!!!! The only reservation I can think of is that the tables are very, very close together, so it would probably not work as a truly romantic night out, or a place to have a business discussion.

Kirsty C.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant after looking at reviews on yelp as we were hoping to dine in an authentically french establishment..well we were not disappointed! The food we chose..coq au vin, chocolate souffle and flambe crepe suzette grand marnier were all absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly, inviting, and considering it seemed not many english speaking people frequented there they gave excellent service to us. Definitely reccomended!

David M.

Yelp
Rustic country dishes which make you feel like you are hundreds of miles from Paris. Roasted squid appetizer was world class along side the bacon, egg and mushroom starter. The Specialite du Maison is the coq au vin with fresh morels. Simple, yet tasty, the Grand Marnier soufflé was the true highlight of the meal, incredible Bourgogne wine list with many bottles costing 4 digits. A memorable meal in a memorable settingl in a genuine historical spot. Would go back to try many other fine dishes. Helpful staff. English menus.Delightful evenings

Yelp
On my recent visit to Paris this restaurant was recommended for typical french food. First time I had pate followed by duck a l'orange as I am not that adventurous. The pate came with onion marmalade which was fine. The duck came with straw potatoes. The duck was plentiful and tasty but the straw potatoes were neither potatoes or chips they had little taste. I started with a gin and tonic £13! My food plus half a bottle of red wine plus my g and t was £63. So quite expensive but then Paris is expensive and the pound is down at the moment. Next night I had organic Salmon which was a place of small halved potatoes in a buttery sauce and you got a bowl of salmon soaked in olive oil. The salmon was plentiful and tasted good but quite a lot for a starter. Main course I had chicken in a cheesy sauce with chips. There were enough chips for 4 people and the chicken was tasty. With my g and t plus a half bottle plus coffee £73. My only complaint was the service. It was rushed and disorganised on the second visit. My g and t arrived with the starter. The bread arrived by the end of the starter. I didnt go back a third time because of the service and the expense but if you want decent french food thats probably as good as any. My tip is do not drink alcohol in Paris its very expensive.

Yelp
Expensive yet poor service and moderate menu choice. The menu choices are not Impressive and the wine choices exorbitant. Normal wine prices from 200-1200 euro. We must not have ordered an expensive enough bottle because after corking and serving the first sip they never returned to pour remainder of the bottle. The food was good but nothing outstanding and not many choices on menu. Very nice decor and linens. Would not return and hope to find more interesting menu to fit the price range.

Yelp
Yery good restaurant, and open Sundays. Lyonnaise dishes done very well. Souffles as a starter, main plat or dessert are not to be missed. All served in a very pleasant, convivial surroundings although somewhat noisy and crowded. Waiters are smiling and trying hard to make the meal enjoyable. In practice, service ranged from excellent to spotty. Over all a very good and enjoyable restaurant and which I recommend. Also, it is open Sundays, which is a great plus. Do not ever go for dinner without a reservation
