I love their service and food it's amazing and I buy here each and everyday they always lovely

We all spent two exceptional days at this Boutique/ Hotel and was not disappointed in any way what's so ever. They provided us with a fantastic service and were at our Beck and Call and even went out of their way to provide us with extra out of the ordinary services like arranging items to be bought at a nearby Gas Service Station after hours for some of the guests who requested they needed something urgently. We were all taken a back by how they bent over backwards to see that all of our needs were met.

Excellent customer service from the first time you walk in their door until leave. Very peaceful place to get away from all the hustle. There food that was served was also divine. Overall I had a great experience.

Stayed at AtholPlace Villa for a night either side of staying at Morukuru Owner’s House.||||The first stay was a bit odd- still very comfortable, but staffing seemed confused, supper very tasty but more a banquet for 20 than a meal for 4, and the place seemed a bit uncared for (pool not cleaned, scuff marks on the skirting boards, carpets a bit worn out). ||||All these concerns vanished with our second stay, helped in main by TT being in charge of everything, an excellent host. Supper was a delicious 4 course meal, breakfast was a delight, the pool was clean and just about warm enough for a morning swim, and (with our flight that evening) the team were good enough to let us shift to the equally opulent House to wait. ||||An exceptionally comfortable, peaceful place to stay and base yourself for Johannesburg.

To enter The Athol Palace you have to through security gate. We were provided with a cup of tea while we sorted the checking in process. We were then taken to our room which is very spacious and looks over the garden and swimming pool . Really lovely room which had a welcome bottle of Champagne and cake. The bathroom is equally spacious with lovely amenities. Nice and clean couldn't fault it! That evening we went to dinner . The menu didn't have any prices on it and we were not notified by the waiter of what the price would be . It was a bit of a shock when we got the bill so this was our only gripe really. The meal was to a very high standard and so no complaints with that. The breakfast was great too and they will do any type of eggs if you wish. Really friendly so no complaints. When we checked out the following morning They gave us a biscuit which was attractively packaged just in case we got hungry for our onward journey . A really nice touch. We would highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels I can remember staying in for many, many years. Stunning rooms, lovely grounds and superlative staff, especially the wonderful Beauty, the afternoon/evening reception manager. The staff can’t do enough for you. The hotel driver, Tau deserves special mention as well, who took us around for three days and was so knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant is top class, such imaginative dishes beautifully presented. The deal is all inclusive, so drinks in the room and round the pool are free issue, a lovely surprise. If only there was a rating higher than Excellent.

After a long flight from the U.S. it was a joy to arrive at this beautiful small hotel. We were greeted warmly and shown immediately to our beautiful room. ||||The included breakfast was delicious. ||||We spent our first relaxing at the lovely pool. The hotel has an included shuttle service which ferried us to nearby shopping and dining. ||||It was a wonderful experience.

An Oasis of Luxury |If you are looking for a sanctuary to relax and unwind with 5-star service, this is definitely the place to stay in Johannesburg! Having stayed at several branded 5-Star hotels in Johannesburg before, I wasn’t sure what to expect when my husband booked this gem (secretly.) From the moment we arrived the staff has been outstanding and accommodating (not to mention the place is beautiful!) This boutique property, placed 5 minutes from Mandela Square in Sandton, is a respite of luxury and style. The property and rooms are beautifully designed and the “extras” like a stocked minibar (there’s fresh ginger and lemon even) a “makeup” wash cloth and (what appears to be) Aveda products, turndown service with champagne & sweets, and a generous late checkout has exceeded our expectations (thank you Ryno for your assistance-so very gracious!) ||And let’s not forget about the service and dining experience! The creativity and quality of the meals need to be recognized as well as the staff! We arrived late (9pm) and had a day of traveling. We were greeted with smiles from Beverly, Ryno and Tatenda. Our bags were taken to our room while they showed us to the dining area. Our 3-course meal was delicious and expertly prepared, quality and presentation 5-stars! The service by Tatenda and Douglas was exemplary - everything was to our satisfaction throughout our meal and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! Breakfast was exactly the same with fresh juices and fruit, pastries and cheeses in addition to the selection of choices from the menu. Service by Ozias again was exceptional! ||As a hospitality veteran (both hotel and F&B) I can say this will be the only place we will stay going forward when visiting Johannesburg! The staff members wholeheartedly made this a “Relais & Chateaux” experience! Thank you to the staff for your hospitality, it is greatly appreciated... we only wished we had more time!
