I do think that they have the past greek pastry in the area. Their spinach pie is crazy good, definitely a 11/10. It costs a reasonable price, similar to others around the area, but it's really flaky, flavourful, and filling is not overpowering the taste of the pastry itself. My only issue is, getting one is definitely not enough, I need at least three to be satisfied. I also tried the loukomades, it's my first time trying the dish, it was decent. The seller was very nice, I ordered the six balls, but was given an extra two. The balls were really sweet and oily, so much stuff comes out when you squeeze it. The cinammon toppings really fits it. I have a mix feelings when eating this, it feels so unhealthy, but so goos. Maybe a little too sweet to my liking, but the texture and hardness is perfect! I'd give it a 7.5/10. Their mocha isn't that good, the milk wasn't frothed well, and chocolate didn't taste that good. The coffee is pretty average. I won't be ordering any of their drinks again it seems. I rate it a 5.5 / 10 The atmosphere feels a little packed, but still nice to stay and chill.

Wow! The food is so good! And the service too, they don’t bother with questions “how is it” because they know they are amazing. Pickled octopus is to die for. And the dessert with custard and ice-cream is out of this world and I don’t even like desserts. My new favourite greek restaurant!

Google
Loved the loukoumathes (honey puffs) and the custard pie, and if you like savoury pastries, highly recommend the spinach pie. The pastries are fresh, light yet “hits the spot” (delicious and filling).

Great for breakfast, lokimades and all other Greek pastry. Plus if you like Turkish past you can also come here too since it is almost the same tastes 🤤

Google
Classic shop for sweet and savoury pastries in Greektown. Delicious and friendly service that is 100% authentic 👍🏼 try the honey soaked mini donuts topped with cinnamon !!

Google
Picked up two dozen Loukoumades (the cinnamon ones didn’t make the pic after getting devoured immediately 😂 ) The Spanakopita was filled exceptionally with a lot of spinach and was quite possibly the best on I’ve ever had. Service was pleasant, and I shall return for my frequent Honey Ball fix!

Google
Cute little place to try out for some coffee and snacks in Greektown. The Tirapita was quite a nice try with ricotta cheese filling. I'm not sure of the great service in terms of everything being self serve or if we were asked to pick our own trays and bring our own napkins and cutlery to the table. The food was good for sure.

Google
This bakery shop offers the best Spanakopita in the City! It also offers authentic Greek goodies that takes you back to Athens. Their Greek coffee is fresh and bold. Customer service is excellent. The inside of the store is reasonably spacious and clean. I love the simplicity of the menu. The shop is accessible by public transit.

Yelp
My wife and I love the Danforth area, especially Greek Town. We always pass through so many bakeries / cafes but just haven't had the time to visit any of them. That is, until we decided we were peckish and wanted to go somewhere that looked cozy... and we're glad we chose Athens Pasteries because it checked that box! My wife and I ordered a couple coffees, and a bougatsa and spanakopita to share. We were very happy with what we got. Everything was very tasty and the service was very fast. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area or anyone looking for a nice cafe.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic Greek pastries. You can't go wrong here. If you're going to cheat on your diet, this is the place. This is one of the gyms of Greektown on Danforth. I ordered one piece of galaktoboureko and it was huge! There is no way I could finish it. I brought it home for later. Everybody there was extremely friendly and service was excellent. I recommend this place highly.

Aiko I.

Yelp
Their pastry choices were limited but well reputed. My Greek acquaintance recommended this place :). Tried spanakopita ($6.99). The size was perfect - just enough to satisfy one person and they cut it into biting size if requested. It was served warm. Flaky and savory. Less oily and salty than most other places. Some people (like my daughter!) may feel that it is not as rich because of it, but I liked their spanakopita's simple delicacy. I also got Loukoumades. It is a bite size fried pieces of dough soaked in syrup and covered with honey with cinnamon powder sprinkled on top. I felt it was a bit too sweet and oily for my liking, but the pieces were one-bite size and easy to eat.

David Y.

Yelp
I worship whichever Greek God gifted Athens Pastries with their loukoumathes recipe. Airy yet substantive, always seeming to taste freshly made, and the perfect level of sweetness - gawd those were heavenly honey puffs! Their pies are pretty good too. The spanakopita (spinach pie), tiropita (cheese pie), and galaktoboureko (custard pie) are all super flaky. And while I would have wanted a bit more filling, they are still worth a try and reasonably priced. Suggest having them cut up the pie so it's easier to eat and/or store. There's a lot of competition in the area with similar offerings, but definitely Athens Pastries is worth a visit.

Kim S.

Yelp
Delicious loukoumades and fredo espresso. Friendly service, and nut free which is a bonus for those with allergies!

Mustang S.

Yelp
Bad value. Greedy owner increased prices. Pastry empty with almost no filling. . . .

Renee R.

Yelp
One of my fav spots to grab spanakopita esp in Toronto Athens has been around for a hot minute even during times Greek town has seen better days. They have the best loukoumades outside of Greece hands down

Francesca F.

Yelp
We stopped in for a coffee and spanakopita, coffee was average spanakopita was very good. While my husband was in the bathroom another patron who was having coffee with a friend left his friend to follow my husband downstairs, turned the lights off while my husband was in the bathroom, then returned to his friend. We were tourists but we just quietly sat in the corner and kept to ourselves, we weren't doing anything obnoxious. If you're visiting, get your coffee and spanakopita somewhere more friendly.

Pamela R.

Yelp
Seriously my favorite spot for the Loukoumades! I cannot emphasize how great these are. They are fresh, sweet and spongy and I have yet to find another spot in Toronto that makes them like they do here at Athens Pastries. If you get a chance, grab a coffee with your Loukoumades and sit on their little patio on the Danforth and enjoy these along with the Danforth crowd.

Abdul E.

Yelp
Went by in the evening before they closed to pick up Some sweets. The lokumades where tasty. These are doe balls fried and dipped in syrup. Yummy. Also trying pastry that was filo filled with custard like a sandwich. Sold by the square. These were also dipped in syrup. They were rich and tasty.

Nimish H.

Yelp
I picked up Spanakopitas, Tiropita and Loukoumathes based on good Yelp reviews. Spanakopitas and Loukoumathes were perfect, but I found Tiropita a bit dry. The service was hasty but overall good experience.

Jonas K.

Yelp
A perfectly preserved vestige of ethnic Greektown. Though gentrification has drastically moved up housing prices in this area, some of the old guard have kept up the area charm and the operators of Athens Pastry deserve such credit. The star of this place is the Filo pastry-based treats, which remain as simple and authentic and tasty as I can ever remember them. This includes 4 'pies' rolled and baked in squares with custard, cheese, meat and spinach, respectively and all four are excellent. Bougatsa is a favourite, I order it hot with just cinnamon, no powdered sugar, It is custard filo and not as sweet as the other custard dessert square Galateboureko which while nice has pure sugar layered on it. The still more sweet desserts such as Loukomades are unfashionably saccharine for me. They are kind of Greek version of TimBits, with honey. People do love them. The Tiropita is the cheese pie with a nice salty feta and good firm cheese texture, wonderfully simple... The Kreatopita is a savory meat pie, seasoned with herbs and onions, and the Spinakopita is again a combined flavouring with Spinach and onions and possibly some feta. ^^^ All three would be excellent alone or with semi dry Greek wine, or accompanying a nice salad or a meal. The tea and coffee presentation is nothing special, good with the custard or sweet, but Athens might as well capitalize on serving an outstanding espresso shot instead of just offering the strange Greek coffee... a shortcoming of the dine-in experience, perhaps but it's still a nice place to cool your feet & relax with Greek locals. I forget if they offer drip coffee as well. Toronto has a terrible track record for quality drip. Prices have steadily increased in recent years, still totally worth it I think. This food is a mini cultural experience. I hope Athens is there for a very long time.

Yelp
If you only eat one savoury thing in Toronto, it has to be fried pork and chive dumplings at Dumpling House on Spadina. But if you have only one dessert... get here... get the Greek Honey Balls. I'm serious. It sounds obscene but the taste is more obscene than anything you can imagine. Yes, even you. Not me. But you. At first I thought this was a place where they serve Paella, suckling dead baby pigs and Bulls. But that's actually Madrid Pastries. It's also not the place with the really snobby servers and high prices (Paris Pastries), or the place full of lunatics that think their island is a ship that can set sail for North America and finally be reunited with the rebels (London Pastries). What to get: Loukamades - Greek Honey Balls. Er. Did you say... Honey Balls...: Look just get them okay. Order them in Greek if it makes you uncomfortable. Anything else: Galaktoboureko (custard pie) and Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) are both really good. Those Greeks love their pies, don't they. And their honey balls. Well. Literally one of the best desserts you will ever eat in your life. Loukamades. These balls are seriously sticky and seriously perfect. I can't describe them. You have to come up to Toronto - right now - and try them. Probably the only sweet thing in Toronto that is better than the amaaaaazing Créme Brulée donuts at nearby Von, these Honey Balls are some of the best Balls of any kind I've ever put in my mouth. And that includes all kinds. I mean, including Falafel Balls and Arancini Balls. What did you think I meant? Ew. Come on. Really? I would never. (Fingers Crossed Behind Back) The long line for pastries is not always dealt with efficiently (it would be at Berlin Pastries), and sometimes I wonder if some of the servers are high on something (but then I remember, that only happens at Amsterdam Pastries). That one tall blonde girl that used to work here was pretty amazing (until she defected to work at Stockholm Pastries). And I like that they always open right on time, always close right on time, and execute all of their rivals (oh wait that's Moscow Pastries). I first tried them during the Danforth St Festival aka Taste Of Danforth. They were packed out the door and also selling them outside. They were soooooooo good, and so much better than anyone else who was offering them. Accept no substitute! You must get them from here! Get your Gyro at Messini and your balls here at Athens! Young boys follow me outside this bakery on their mopeds and hit on me, much like at Rome Pastries. It could be worse, because their baked goods could taste completely neutral and bland, like at Bern Pastries (and its sister stores, Geneva Pastries and Zurich Pastries). And I appreciate that even when all the customers are drunk, the servers never are (unlike Dublin Pastries and Belfast Pastries). The honey balls are only wee little balls lassie but they're bloody good (so says the baker over at Edinburgh Pastries). Anyway I have a multiple-person date to go on now (with the girls from Prague Pastries, Budapest Pastries, Bucharest Pastries, Tirana Pastries and Sofia Pastries, if you must know). And if you feel (like those girls often do, which is how I met them) like showing it all off at the festival, New Orleans Style, then you can also pick up some Athens Pastys from Athens Pastries. Their Spinach Pie here is also really good, but nothing compares to those balls of heaven. They put the "ho" in Honey. In a good way. Or is it put the Honey in Ho. Oh no that's something else. Never mind. Did you hear, by the way, that Istanbul Bakery is trying really hard to get into the Bakery Business? But the other bakeries aren't sure if they want to let them in on a slice of the pie... so to speak. Sadly, I found out that the store is completely bankrupt. And now I finally understand why they are named Athens Pastries.

Yelp
I am in love with desserts in Greek Town. Ever since my friend's work place moved to The Danforth, I started venturing around the area for cheap eats. Early on, I discovered Athens, and I fell in love. I've tried quite a bit here. Usually, I get a dozen loukamades, a custard dessert, a spinach pie, and a custard pie. For the pies, the filling is abundant, enveloped by a thin, flaky crust. The contrast in textures and flavours between the sweet/savoury filling and the slightly sweet, buttery crust is what I think keeps it interesting. I appreciate how the custard pie isn't overly sweet as well, provided that you opt out of the additional toppings the staff offers upon serving you. As for the spinach pie, it's mouthwatering, albeit a little heavy. It's probably the best spinach pie I've had in Toronto! This is my family's favourite and it is pretty fail-proof if you're looking for something to bring back home for others. Additionally, the custard pie is on point if you've got a massive sweet tooth like me. It's a moist custard cake doused in honey. You also have the option of adding cinnamon to it, which I recommend to add another dimension to the flavour palette. Yes, it is very sweet, and as such, some people might not like it. I, on the other hand, adore this cake because of its moist texture and because of how the flavour of the custard still cuts through the heavy dose of honey. Lastly, the loukamades are a great resource for parties. It's only a little over 3 bucks for a dozen, so buying in bulk while on a budget is very possible. They look like donut holes/timbits marinated in honey. They are soft, sticky, and sweet. My mom really loves them, especially with cinnamon sprinkled on top. However, some people, like my bf, find it a bit too oily and sweet for their liking. Even I can't take more than two in a sitting before the oil and honey gets to me. Nevertheless, I'm sure at least the majority of your party will like them. Just make sure you serve them with a glass of water, milk, tea, or coffee (avoid sweet drinks). There's a lot to love here at Athens from the savoury desserts to the cheap price point to the mouthwatering spinach pie. I would say the only negative point would be that they only accept cash and debit. Hopefully they'll add credit as a payment option one day. Then, I'd be visiting every day!

Bebe B.

Yelp
Best Greek pies ever!!! Fav is the cheese and custard pies but they are all good!!! However the honey balls are too sweet for my taste, everyone seems to love them so it's worth a try.

Jovana S.

Yelp
This is the BEST place to get fresh loukoumades. These honey bombs are served warm and can be topped off with cinnamon. I always stop here after I eat a gyros from Messini. The restaurant is clean and there is indoor seating. However, the Danforth neighborhood is a great area to explore so I like to walk and eat the loukoumades. They are very caloric so walking makes me feel less guilty for eating so many :-).

Stephanie S.

Yelp
More of a café than a bakery. All bakery items are displayed in front close to cashier. Rest of the place is seating in the back. Loukoumades/custard dessert were very good! ~$5 for dozen / piece. HOWEVER, blonde cashier was pretty apathetic/bordering on rude. Not very welcoming.

Jimmy L.

Yelp
Daaaaammn this is good. Came for a "quick iced drink" on a hot spring day. Got iced cappuccino ($3.85) and spinach pie ($3.85?). After finishing that amazing pie, got honey balls to finish with my sizable drink. Got a cheese pie to go. Large portions. Amazing taste and quality. Fantastic price. The whole thing cost me $8.70 + $5.90 for medium iced capp, two pies, and 6 honey balls. Fantastic! Can't wait to bring more ppl next time. Super casual but clean place. 5 stars out of 5. Jimmy's Yelp Ratings Scale for Food: [*] Disappointing. Just...no. [**] Not very good. Will not return. [***] It is what it is. Go enough times and you'll break even on quality. [****] My go-to place. Rarely disappoints. [*****] Everything on menu is good. Every time.

Anchi L.

Yelp
This restaurant is cafe style where you order your food at the counter and take your tray to find a table. Their menu is short and all the pies look delicious. My friend and I settled on the meat pie, cheese pie and custard pie. It was filling, but we decided we couldn't leave without trying the spinach pie and honey balls. One word of caution, the honey balls are soaked in a sweet syrup that was too sweet for us, but everything else was very very good. My personal fave was the cheese pie and spinach pie, meat pie coming in close.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
I love flaky pastry.. and that Spinach Pie at Athen's Pastries (Spanokopita) tasted awesomely good... I always glad that sign language is universal, point, smile and pay and you will receive... Athens Pastries works with that same system... Imagine the day that if one cannot pronounce the name of the food correctly, one cannot eat... I will be starving in Germany and Greek for sure!! I think a certain yelper told me about another location of Athens Pastries in Scarborough.. that would be my next destination to practise my Greek food vocabulary!

Keith T.

Yelp
While this may be my first review, my expanding waist says this may not be my first time here! Athens pastries is great for two things - going in for an occasional snack of loukmathes (little balls of pastry dipped in syrup of the gods most likely) and meat /cheese/ spinach pies; it is also great for the 'what should we take to xxxxxx's place when we visit?' The loukmathes are delicious and quite inexpensive (I think it came to $18.50 for 5 dozen). They only accept cash so make sure to stop by the bank on the way in. They are consistent and never disappoint. Also, they are open quite late.

Ahalya S.

Yelp
BEST Loukoumades IN THE CITY!! Don't even bother going anywhere else. Friendly service and excellent quality!! I love their Loukoumades. See my review on Athena Bakery. I will never go anywhere else for Loukoumades. YUM!!

Michael T.

Yelp
Rarely post but this deserves to be said- the cashier was very rude bordering absurd. Slammed the plate with the pastry, and mocking us as we sat down. Pretty unacceptable by today's standard. Pastries mediocre - would not come back just based on the service.

Gonzo G.

Yelp
Consistently good Spanokopita! The location along the beach is also a great cafe. Great coffee and the baked goods are amazing. Try the honey balls!

Joseph B.

Yelp
This place is a total rip off,and the service is rude and nasty! Spend your money in Greektown at better places. One last thing, look at the reviews that are 5 star and look at the photos, you think these are customers? ......THINK AGAIN! RiP-OFF!

Elaine H.

Yelp
I come by here for the loukoumades everytime I'm in the area. Dare I admit my cravings for these babies makes me make the extra trip? What are these magical goodies you ask? Loukoumades are basically honey soaked dough balls which are firm (fried) on the outside and spongey on the inside and are literally heaven in your mouth. I buy a dozen for $3.5 (HOW SO CHEAP) and always regret not getting two. I always get it with cinnamon which which bring joy to the next level. The spinach pies are good as well but the loukoumades steal the show overtime. Wish they accepted cards though, that would make the experience even better.

J C.

Yelp
Food is amazing as always however I went and discovered that the staff were NOT wearing masks properly. Two girls working there and both had their noses completely exposed while cutting and serving the food and at some points even pulled them down completely exposing their entire faces. This actually happened while talking to customers. One girl had her mask off while making drinks and I even saw her rub her nose with her hands then continue prepping - it was quite gross. I ended up sitting on the patio and actually saw a few people come up, see the staff's hygiene and say, "ew they're not wearing masks, I don't wanna go in", turn around and leave! I hope management fixes this issue because I love the food here. It was gross to see the two ladies working breathing onto the pastries and rubbing their snot all over the place. Never once saw them wash or sanitize their hands even after accepting cash and handling a variety of orders.

Elaine K.

Yelp
I came in here for a quick bite while catching up with a friend. We were in the area and needed a spot that was open past 9pm and would have dairy-free dessert options. Bingo bango, Athens Pastries fit the bill. The place is bright and casual, and the service is very friendly. I got the loukoumades - honey balls. They are sweet as hell, so if you're not into sweet, beware. I'm not into sweet, but I still managed to devour 6 of them. They were just so springy, spongey and sticky... once I popped, I couldn't stop! They also had a good selection of teas and other dairy-filled things that I kind of ignored. Check this spot out, you won't be disappointed.

Costas S.

Yelp
We decided on Greek dessert following a nice dinner a few blocks from this bakery. We were hoping for baklava, but settled for loukoumades instead. They were good, but not the best I've had. Yes, maybe a bit critical as a fellow Greek, but they were good, not great.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Very authentic Greek pastries. Tried the spanakopita and Greek coffee, did not disappoint!! The sweets looked heaven, will be back to try the lokmades and the baklava. They have different varieties of savoury pastries ranging from spinach to minced meat. An ideal spot to stop by for a quick coffee and carb recharge on your day put on the Danforth

Yulia R.

Yelp
Keeping it simple is a virtue in this bakery: the menu is short and sweet, and both their sweet and savory items are excellent, if a touch expensive. Very fond of the tiropita, and while I'm not generally a fan of Greek coffee, it's quite nice. My partner loves the loukomathes. Seating is limited, and in the "before times" it was homey indoors, usually with several elderly locals chatting or doing crosswords. There are a few small outdoor tables, but in the colder season take-away is best, and they are open late!

Cin C.

Yelp
I love the loukoumades here, especially when I'm looking for a hit of sugary pastry after some great Greek food in the area. You might as well go to the source and have it drenched in honey!! These little balls of pastry are dense enough to hold up to the honey onslaught while giving a great al dente feel. Not a bad treat at a dozen for 3.50!! Better than timbits. There are plenty of other treats if you aren't into anything too sugary. I've had the spinach pastry freshly baked from the oven and it was delicious also.

Megan B.

Yelp
Spanikopita was very tasty with the prrfect amount of flakiness! Lukamadas were life changing definitely check it out :)

Masha B.

Yelp
I've been dropping by at Athens Pastries for a few years now; I really like this place! The place is small, narrow, and clean. The menu is not that big but everything is great! They have a small place to sit down inside, but I notice that most people get things to go. I enjoy the coffee's here a lot, especially their frappe (Greek iced-foamed coffee) and their Greek coffee; they make them perfectly. They also have yummy Greek pies: spanakopita (spinach pie made out of phyllo pastry) and tiropita (cheese pie made out of phyllo pastry). Their loukoumades are a hit here (fried- dough honey balls) - basically the Greek version of a doughnut, but way better. The staff is here so warm and kind which is a great bonus to this place. The prices are very reasonable. Some items like the loukoumades are really cheap. I did a double take at the menu up on the wall when I read: dozen loukoumades for $3.00, what?!! I look forward to my next visit!

Elvis A.

Yelp
The Galaktoboureko (phyllo custard dessert) used to bring me here though I hadn't visited this place in eons. I prefer the desserts to be not overly sweet so not a fan of Loukoumades which are well recommended by regulars. The Galaktoboureko hasn't changed and is still a winner. I didn't get a chance to try any coffee on this visit as this was a strictly takeout endeavor. I would recommend picking up a dessert from here as it will surely surprise your guests because it is not your regular dessert for sure. Very nicely balanced. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this neck of the woods.

Jumping J.

Yelp
Came to the Danforth on a sunny crisp Sunday morning and stopped by for coffee. The friendly lady owner greeted me and said their galaktoboureko just came out of the oven. Who am I to pass up on fresh baked anything that just came out of the oven. The center was a slightly sweet custard and the phyllo pastry was crispy on the top with a dusting of cinnamon and soft on the bottom from soaking in syrupy goodness. With my black coffee to balance out the overall sweetness, my inner fat kid was content. I hear their honey balls are the bomb! Will have to lick their balls, honey balls, next time.

Saul M.

Yelp
... Before walking in you smell an inviting aroma... then you see enticing pastries... your mouth begins to salivate slightly as you anticipate... then you taste...oohhh sweet, smooth, creamy custard in flaky philo... While you sip coffee at a sidewalk table on a nice day... watching entertaining people strolling by.

Keev A.

Yelp
If you are familiar with Greek pastry, then this is the place to go. It is a lovely, cozy and easily found place at Danforth, close to Pape intersection. We have been there several times, mostly for their famous loukoumades, as those are amazingly good there. Fresh, sweet and covered with cinnamon (of course if you agree to that). The Galaktoboureko has been equally good, but it is really hard to taste other stuff, while honey balls sit heavily on our minds...or rather in our mouth :) The place is tiny, but there is enough room to dine-in or stand by a bar table for quick snack. Do not be overwhelmed while stepping in by the long line. It goes fast, as the double team of black dressed girls do their job great. Just be aware that you can't pay with card, cash only. The great thing is that you can buy 6 or 12 loukoumades and there is no tax! Yay! For ultimate experience I suggest to order dozen of loukoumades and a cup of black tea, sit back at the end of the shop and just enjoy being present.

Jen A.

Yelp
Athens Pastries has well-priced spanakopita that's flaky, tasty, and cut up into bite-sized pieces. However, I admit that I've always wondered why it's a bit flat. The only thing that would make it better would be more fillings. The loukomades are tasty, but they hit hard with the honey. I recommend sharing them with a few friends, because after eating two, I just can't eat them anymore. A sweet little cafe, and an authentically Greek spot on the ever-changing Danforth.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Every time I am on the Danforth in Greek town I make sure to stop by here and get two dozen Loukoumades (honey balls). They are absolutely delicious. Some of the best I have ever had. They are always made fresh and the ladies that serve them up are happy and friendly. They serve up the best in Greek comfort food here. Absolute must try if you are in the area! (Danforth & Logan) The whole vibe of this bakery is awesome. 5/5

Julia M.

Yelp
If you check all the raving reviews, they are all old. When Athens Pastries used to be our favorite place to go, usually to eat there and to take some pies home for the rest of the family. I made huge mistakes lately. Was invited for mother's day and bought 2 pies to take to the host because I knew they loved them in the past. They were too polite to tell me they could not eat them. Almost 3 weeks ago 3 of us went to the Athens pastries and because there were no tables available we each took a piece home. One piece of spanakopita 3 pieces of bugatsa and two whole pies, one cheese and one spanakopita. I am sorry to say that all ended up in the garbage. The next day I telephoned and asked to speak to the manager. They said he was not there. I asked to connect me to his voicemail. They said you can't do that, you have to give us the message and will pass it on. I gave them my name, my telephone number and they asked me what was about. I said it was about the food quality. I am still waiting! Don't throw your money away.

Neo V.

Yelp
Excellent Greek deserts! Almost as good as Grandma (Yiayia) used to make. The Loukoumades are the best, soft and full of syrup, their always fresh! I would recommend going for some dessert here after eating your lunch or dinner at another restaurant. If you want good desserts you need to go to a dessert place and this one is it!

Annie H.

Yelp
I was craving some loukomades and decided to try this place out. You can't beat the price at under $4 for a dozen. They were pretty good but their menu is somewhat limited. For a Greek pastry shop why don't you have baklava!?!? Service wasn't very friendly either but I was just getting take out so maybe they would have been nicer if I dined in or I caught them on an off day?? If I'm ever in the area I may try them again. Who knows, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

Yelp
I always come here if I'm on the Danforth. Always. For the last...15 years I'd say. They have the BEST cheese pies and spinach pies. Warm, flakey, study, not rubbery or dry. It's not one of those frozen pies from co- packers that other bakeries serve. Good portion size and reasonable prices. I really can't say enough about this place and was surprised I didn't have a review on this place. They also have these timbit-like things in syrup which my hubby loves. The drinks are good here. The service is also very polite. Clean washrooms. Nice atmosphere to grab a latte and share a pie with a friend to catch up on life etc.

Yelp
I always stop here when I'm in Greektown for spanikopita, tyropita, and loukamades. Don't know what they are? Delicious, that's all you need to know. There may be better places in the area, but these are definitely great. And I think it's a very good price for them - not too pricey at all. Definitely visit this place! Efharisto!

Yelp
So had to get some Greek desserts while I was on Danforth. Came highly recommended by my local friends and they HAD to take me there after dinner. They just said, "Honey Balls...that's all you need to know." I wasn't sure if I was sold, but I wanted some good dessert anyways, so we popped in. Now, they are loukoumades on the menu and they are only $3.50 for a dozen. Sooooo, why not eat a dozen? We split a dozen and definitely wanted to go back to for more. Definitely a good sugar fix and is great to snack on outside on a summer night in Toronto.

Yelp
This is the only place one should ever buy the deliciously, plump and fresh loukoumades (honey balls). $3 for dozen Staff is friendly.

Yelp
Came here the first time today after walking by previously. I think I've been here before during the taste of the danforth a few years back. Had the spinach pie, very nice and was warm. Each slice is $3.75 plus taxes. Four different types of pies: spinach, meat (ground beef), cheese (feta) and custard. I got the spinach and meat (going to try it later). Honey balls are 12 for $3.50 They keep heating up pies so, yep the ones on display are probably fresh!
