"High-Altitude Aspens and Views The fantastic Aspen Vista Trail is higher up in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains along a rocky, dirt road. The trailhead commences at 9,900 feet and tops out at 12,000 feet (at the summit of the Santa Fe ski basin) and provides more exertion and challenge. You will be rewarded with stellar views. Obviously, at the peak of autumn, you'll want to keep your camera handy."

Hi friends, A very good day to all. I have just been there at Aspen, and it's beautiful out there. While going up there, you might see a sign saying road closed ahead, but nothing to worry, just keep driving until you reach there. Have fun and make lots of memories. Until then, much love. God bless 🙌 🙏

Great place to hike alone or with family/ friends. Get there early so you can get a parking spot, and the earlier you get there, the less traffic you have to follow up the hill. Dogs allowed, but must be on a leash if aggressive. Great views, too. 🤠👍🏻

Aspen Vista Picnic Ground is a sight to be seen! This time of year is stunning with the golden & red leaves everywhere, and beautiful full trees. We enjoyed a few hours of sight seeing, and walking around. There were tons of people walking their dogs, playing in the leaves, and enjoying the fresh crisp air. Definitely worth checking out and dropping by for some wonderful views!

Great views. We hike an easy trail (I think it was called Alpaca). The views were very nice. I didn't care much for the bathrooms.

🍂Yellow Foliage? COME HERE FOR Fall 🍂 Won't regret the views and the plentiful Aspen trees in October!

Aspen vista has multiple trails and a dirt road for the casual hiker. A large aspen grove is located next to parking area. Steeper trails go immediately up the mountain essentially to the base of the Santa Fe express ski lift. This would be the next access point for the higher ski Santa Fe lifts and deception/lake peak. There is limited parking at the trailhead, probably around maximum for 40 vehicles.

Be sure to download the All trails app to pick up one of the many trails that starts from here! Absolutely beautiful! I was feeling adventurous and did the 12 miles up to Tesuque peak, oooh boy, I sure felt that, make sure you know your fitness level, that's all I have to say. ⛰️👊😎🌲 Also, it seems these trails are multiuse, meaning on my hike up the forest service road, there were other hikers, mountain bikers, joggers and I think people with horses also come up here, so there's something for everyone. 😉 Oh and there's 2 toilets up here. 👍 Overall, a nice little stop for a number of reasons! Enjoy! 😎✌️

Beautiful and easy hike on an old logging road through groves of Aspen trees. It’s is lovely anytime of year but Sept-Oct is breathtaking. I’ve been in March as well with snow on the ground and the experience and views are just as good to me. It’s popular so you will pass several people and dogs. Great for families!
