I can't say most people would like this place, but to me it is a quintessential representation of old school Philly Chinatown. The dark back alley feel where English is delegated to a secondary language and customer service is very much take it or leave it.
Organized much like any other Asian market. Aisles for home goods, teas, snacks, noodles, canned/preserved goods, sauces/condiments, fresh produce, fresh seafood, and frozen products. They accept cash or plastic.
Addendum: In the same underground space, you will find a wonderful hole-in-the-wall called Tasty Place that serves a decent beef & bitter melon. If you don't know what that dish entails, consider yourself warned. And last time i checked, cash only.
