"No corner of London has had a bigger glow up over the past 12 months than Battersea. Grade II-listed, coal-fired Battersea Power Station underwent a tip-to-toe makeover, almost 50 years after it was decommissioned in the 1970s. It reopened in 2022, stacked with shops, restaurants, cinemas and a theatre. In 2023, Art’otel–164 art-inspired rooms on the top levels of the power station–will open, with a rooftop bar and pool, a spa and a restaurant from Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa."

I booked the Art’otel as a surprise for my partner’s ’big birthday’ and we both enjoyed our stay here, and exploring the new re-developments in Battersea. The hotel is easily accessible by tube, bus, train and Uber boat and there are numerous attractions and restaurants/bars in the near vicinity.|Check-in by app is easy and all the staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. We were upgraded to a larger room and the card and bottle of bubbly on arrival were a wonderful surprise. |As keen swimmers, we were ‘blown away’ by the amazing pool and jacuzzi on the sixteenth floor. Simply sensational on a sunny afternoon, at sunset and first thing in the morning. We have recommended highly to friends and relations, and also hope to re-visit again soon!

Overall, the experience was disappointing and sadly wouldn't stay again. Check-in = 1. Exceptional. I was impressed so I paid extra to upgrade my room at check-in. Room = 1. The main lamp was broken. It was fixed after notifying front desk. 2. The coffee machine didn't work. 3. There were no complimentary snacks and drinks, despite this being advertised as one of the perks of the upgraded room on their website. 4. Worst of all, no shower gel in the shower throughout the entire stay - they clearly don't check things properly. 5. Rooms are not soundproofed - I could hear someone in another room, someone walking about above, and loud music at night. 6. Upgrade was pointless. Basically the same room with the same view just a couple of levels higher. Your view is still train tracks. Hotel = 1. Both indoor bars were closed during the day despite it being 3pm. 2. The carpet on L10 looks like it has been laid by comedians and a literal trip hazard. 3. FYI - No rooms actually seem to have a view of the powerstation. Attention to detail just seems to be lacking. Feedback provided at check-out but nothing was done. Similarly I was asked for feedback via email, this was provided and I received a very generic response (likely what this post will receive) and just hoped they could welcome me again soon. Actions are what fix things, so unfortunately I won't be returning anytime soon. Hotel looks lovely though.

This hotel is so worth it and a little bit of heaven. The location and views are stunning. Firstly do not forget your swimsuit as the views are excellent as the rooftop pool is heaven and should be experienced. Second, the bed sheets were luxurious and soft on your skin, not like some hotels. Your bathroom rope is just luxurious and way above average standard. Finally, the staff were super friendly and could not do enough to accommodate you. My only regret is I was not staying longer as I would have loved to enjoy the hotel more as there were parts I did not have time to use.

We are having a lovely stay at this hotel. The hole vibe of the place is trendy, cool and laid back. The staff is so welcoming, and the bar upstairs is lovely with a beautiful rooftop. Jermaine made our stay as easy and relaxing as possible. He’s extremely efficient from problem solving to great recommendations. Would definitely recommend to a friend.:)

Art hotels offer something that little bit different. Bright and modern. Very comfortable rooms. Delightful staff. And here, a great rooftop pool- small but perfectly formed ! Great shopping opportinies in the former power station and some lively restaurants, many with terraces with views over the Thames.

We stayed here for a weekend and I have to say it's a beautiful hotel and the location perfect. Can't remember the name of the room we stayed in, but it was a decent size with a king bed looked over dogs and cats home. We were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar, which was a nice gesture. Lazarus checked us and was very helpful and nice to deal with. Two small issues, the stopper in the sink in the bathroom didn't stop the water from draining in the sink and the button on the lift to take you to the roof top didn't work. The view from the roof top is fab. Great spot for a cheeky weekend in London.

Second time staying at this hotel. Rooms are nice and the location is perfect. Mohammed on reception was fantastic, friendly and helpful when there was an issue with my card, remembered we'd been going out for a meal and asked us about it. The only slight drawback is the bar gets very busy and loud and on the night we went in, staff were struggling to monitor who was waiting for seats and didn't spot/stop some people queue jumping. But because of the location we just decided to go to another bar where we could get a seat and served instead. Overall though, highly recommended this hotel. The roof top pool and jacuzzi are fantastic even when the weather isn't!

Customer hosts were fantastic. You really don’t need to leave the complex. It’s quite frankly one of the best places in London. Has a Monaco vibe. Very secure with private security everywhere in Battersea station. Places to drink and eat all over the site. Hotel is very well laid out. Brand new. Pool on the roof. Rooms immaculate. All of London accessible through the Thameslink ferry services. Quiet frankly top drawer! Will only stay here again when visiting London. Can see this being a home from home.
