Arroyo Burro Beach County Park

Nice beach. We took our dogs to the off leash side and had a good time with them. They wore themselves out playing with dogs and splashing in the surf. The best part is that there's a dog wash station in the parking lot. The worst part is that there's very little parking.

Drove down for the day what A Beautiful Beach place to visit. It reminded me of when I was A kid ♡ how the beach's used to look like ♡. Also had A park and a small restaurant on the Beach. Parking and lots of dogs. Fun place

Dog beach, split in two. Right side with leash, left side off leash. Sand is quite dirty with wood sticks, seaweeds, dead bushes, and random stuff like oil stains? There is also a nice grass area to the right of the public toilets. Dog self wash stations between the two free parking lots, $10. Restaurant onsite.

Very dog-friendly beach. The restaurant will give you a buzzer and when it's time to eat you just leave your stuff on the beach and go to your table in the restaurant. Very chill.

Nice beach, but be careful with your clothing. We walked to the left side and there are some tar/ grease stains we didn't see but walked through. We had to throw our flip flops away because it didn't get off easily and don't have the tools as we're on holiday. Careful with your dog and it's paws! It will be a good scrubbing session to get it done..

This little piece of paradise is dog friendly and absolutely perfect on a sunny day! They even have a dog wash for your sandy puppy!

Never a dull moment on the beach! Great place to take your pup for socializing and a long long walk. There is natural tar on the beaches- some days it is worse than others. But it is natural. '...the COP marine hydrocarbon seep field which has been active for at least half a million years.' Baby oil, coconut oil... And dawn soap will get you all cleaned up.

This was my first time visiting. I was there Sunday afternoon and it was packed. I was thankful to find parking fairly quickly, but you might have to circle. The tide was high so there was not much beach in-between the ocean and cliffs. The beach is also very rocky and currently there's a lot of seaweed. Dogs are allowed off leash to the left when you enter. The dogs were well behaved and really enjoyed the beach. I was sad to learn there was a sick sea lion on the beach. There was an area was roped off and beachgoers were giving each other the heads up to be aware with dogs. I believe the sea lion was sick due to the algae/seaweed. It was still there the following day. There was a sign posted but I didn't go close enough for details. I went back Monday morning and parking at 8 was very easy to find. The tide was lower. There was a thick marine layer. I did enjoy walking up and down more of the coastline. I explored to the left and right this time. I collected some sea glass. To the right I was surprised to see empty crab and lobster shells. There were also some dead crabs. Lots of flies by the seaweed. Not the cleanest beach.
