We booked this tour to celebrate both my birthday and my son’s birthday, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The team at Arca Tierra made every moment feel special and thoughtfully curated. We started the journey with a scenic trajinera ride through the canals of Xochimilco, where we soaked in the vibrant surroundings and learned about the area’s rich history and ecology. Our guide was engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the cultural heritage of Xochimilco with us. He added a layer of meaning to the experience that made it feel far more authentic and personal than a typical tourist outing. After the boat ride, we headed to Arca Tierra’s restaurant, where a private dinner awaited us. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with an intimate setting that made our celebration feel even more special. This experience was amazing! My mom and I took a girls trip to Mexico City and the Amanecer Chinampero with The Curious Mexican was easily our favorite part. We were greeted in the morning with some hot cafe de olla and our guides got us on the trajineras to take us to see the sunrise. The Arca Tierra staff were extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and Anais did a great job curating. If I’m ever back in town, I will definitely do this again.

Arca Tierra was an unbelievable and eye-opening experience to learn more about agro-ecological practices in the heart of Mexico City!! The food served for the Brunch experience exceeded my expectations with the use of locally-sourced ingredients and a creative menu showcasing authentic mexican dishes. The staff members were very professional with a welcoming and friendly service throughout our tour. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to learn more about regenerative agriculture, the history of chinampas in Mexico City, as well as to enjoy a delicious organic meal in a unique local setting. Congratulations Arca Tierra!

An amazing experience- highly recommend! 2 improvements that could be made: 1) the boats were very crowded, which made it difficult to pivot in the seat to get better views of the scenery 2) the food was incredible, but there was very little description of what was being served. Despite this, I would highly recommend this experience! One of the highlights of my trip to CDMX, and absolutely worth the early morning wake up call on vacation.

This was one of the best parts of our visit to Mexico City. The sunrise tour of the chinampas was very cool and it was awesome to see their organic farm! Also, the food was great.

Absolutely loved the sunrise tour of the Xochimilco canals and chinampas. This was truly a highlight of our time spent in CDMX and is definitely worth the early call time! The staff was very friendly, our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about this area that contributes so much to the global eco-system. And the food they serve was delicious! Very worthwhile and I highly recommend. This company was referred to us by a friend and we're so glad they did.

Arca Tierra surpassed my expectations. My partner and I did a sunrise tour with breakfast and the experience was magical from start to finish. Words cannot describe the beauty of this tour - you’ll have to see it for yourself. Our tour had 75 guests in it but Monica, our guide made the experience intimate and special. We learned so much about their traditional farming methods, sailed to the farm under an unforgettable sunrise, and had a delicious breakfast (coffee was out of this world). Everyone at Arca Tierra is incredibly passionate about their craft and preserving tradition. 10/10 ***also it’s super cold in the morning so be sure to wear some warm layers you can shed later***
