I was in the market for a classic men's trench coat. Based on research either Burberry or Aquascutum are the most original you can go. Having visited here, tried on their classic men's trench - I was sold, the piece was beautiful and the member of staff was extremely patient, kind and accessible, he explained that they offer cleaning services and also sell each piece of the coat separately in case you lose anything. I'd say Burberry relies on the name too much and with Aquascutum it's slightly less well known and your first purchase takes 10% off the total price which is very helpful. Definitely a place to invest in a quality item, I can't comment on the quality of the other items, but they look very good if that is your style and want a cheaper alternative to Burberry. This was Winston Churchill's choice for trench, and I think that alone is a good selling point. Great shop and great staff! Really a pleasure.
