visited this location yesterday around 5 PM. As I was rushing to get to my car because of the rain, I accidentally dropped my cake. I quickly went inside and asked if they could fix it for me, offering to pay extra. The team didn’t hesitate to help me and, to my surprise, they didn’t even let me pay. Huge shoutout to Janis (or Yanis) for genuinely fixing the cake—it meant so much. Thank you for your amazing service! See below pictures (before and after)

👍🏻👍🏻Matcha cream puff: cream was light and had very nice bittersweet flavor of matcha, the puff pastry was not the crispy type, but that was exactly what I wanted. I could eat 2 in a row 👍🏻Cream puff: p nice but not as good as the match ones 👌🏻Cheese tart: a b sour not as good as the castella ones imo 👍🏻Walnut napoleon: very crunchy and flaky, had a stronger taste of walnut while not overloaded with buttercream like the saint germain ones. Not a hype, it was the best i ever had

Google
Wow I ordered the 6" mango cake and it was INCREDIBLE. Very airy fluffy dough and just delicious fresh mango with the right amount of cream. It's my new favourote birthday cake. I don't often write reviews but the world needs to know about this cake!

Google
I love the coconut mini cake. It was spongy and the cream between cake layers was good amount. Coffee mini cake was also tasty. I love the crunch almond slice on the top. And the peanut butter flavored bread was so delicious. Bread was so dense and soft. Curry bread was good substitution for a meal. Ham and egg bread was decent because I love any bread with ham. I don't know the exact price of each bread but they were so enjoyable. I will visit next time !

Their house cake with fresh fruits is always a hit. I had a chuckle bec the writing on one of the cakes says ‘happy new year 2018’ when it should say 2019 😉

Paulina Gonzalez

Google
Their egg tarts are perfectly baked and not too sweet. Just my kind of tart.

Google
The good point was the service at the bakery, but the Mango mousse cake was not good at all. Frosting tasted old and sticky, and the cake hardly had any mango flavor or any tasty flavor. Big fail for the bday event I got this :(

Google
Authentic Hong Kong style bakery. We go there from time to time. Consistent quality. Friendly staff. Best comfort food.

Yelp
We ordered a fresh mango cake from here and it was really good. Everyone loved it. Light fluffy and the mango was fresh indeed and on par. Wish there were more strawberries as everyone wanted a slice with strawberries on it. They also have good bao's and their dan tat is good.

Yelp
Went in today Feb.14,2024 to buy 6 egg tarts and 6 piece of cakes. Told Server nicely" Please 6 egg tarts in one small box and 6 cakes another box, Thank you" Server replied loud, unpleasant and rude manner " How do you want me put them ......" Wow, don't know how to answer her and I just walked out. I lived in Mount Pleasant area for long time and shop Anna's cake on regular basis. This is not the only time i got bad service from them. Drove all the way to Pinetree Bakery on Hastings and pick up some egg tarts and cakes-great service and always smile servers. I will shop Pinetree Bakery from now.

Yelp
Heard locals rave about this Chinese bakery chain! And indeed their cakes are delicious! Fresh ingredients, moist cake, jam-packed with fillings and toppings, and great flavour. Mild sweetness to suit Asian palette. We were so happy with their mango cake!

Carolyn L.

Yelp
This place is huge when compared to other outlets. There is street parking right outside or on the side street. Easy to access. I came in the morning and there were not a lot of items then. I bought some buns and cakes and baked pastry. The cakes are the old school sponge cakes with buttercream filling. Not very sweet which is typical of Chinese bakeries. The egg tart is ok, as is the chicken pie. At $4 for the chicken pie, that is pretty expensive. There are some gristle and cartilage in the pie which make it very unenjoyable. I have had better chicken pie elsewhere, same with the egg tart. The buns are nicer if consumed on the same day as they become harder the next day. The beef curry bun is lacking in the filling department. The ham and cheese is the better bet. Again, you can probably get better tasting more generous filling buns elsewhere. Maybe this is a place for cakes, especially whole cakes for birthdays and such.

Yelp
Ordered an 8 inch fresh mango cake for a Friday pickup. A few days before Friday, Anna's called me saying that there may not be enough ripe mangoes. So I changed it to fresh fruit Cake with mangoes on the outside. So on Friday, I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised that they found enough fresh mangoes to complete the cake. The cake was fresh, tasty, and perfect.

Yelp
BEST EGG TARTS Anna's Cake House 227-9855 Austin Ave, Burnaby, BC * Unpopular opinion but I don't actually like egg tarts ... BUT, I LOVE THESE which is saying something. @annas_cake_house has a few locations (typically in malls which makes them a little inconspicuous) - they may look like a regular Asian Bakery but they have a whole glass area just for egg tarts. * The egg tarts are a little different than the typical ones that are sold at current Dim Sum restaurants. The main difference is the crust the custard is held in. The crust is a bit more solid like a cookie and shortbread hybrid but once bitten into is flaky, buttery, and crumbly goodness . The custard doesn't have an over cooked egg flavor but is jiggly, sweet, and having a light egg taste. The combination is so delicious and addicting. So addicting that we ate 4 in the first 15 minutes and had to buy another two boxes to bring home before we left for Seattle. Highly recommend picking up at least a dozen to share if you're an egg tart fan! #eatswitherinn

Yelp
I hope the management at Anna's Cake House reads this. I go there to buy bread probably 15 times a month. I like to sit down on the chair and eat one piece of the bread when I am there. I sat down at the table on the right side of the front reception area. I only sit there for like 10 minutes or so. Today, the lady at the front got mad at me. She told me to go sit on the left side. The left side, the staff turn up the music really loud. It gives me a headache. Plus, what is the big deal to have a customer sit on the table on the right for 10 minutes?

Jake N.

Yelp
Awesome mango cake . I just heard them from word of mouth and it trully is delicious!

Kenneth N.

Yelp
In the normal hours, everything seems to be fine. However, within the last hour before closing, things are rushed in order to close the store on time. Could try using the "Too Good to Go" app to sell surplus to be picked up the next morning.

Danny K.

Yelp
Mango cake is always spot on. And when you go to Anna's you can't help but buy their delicious snacks.

Kit Yee Y.

Yelp
I came here after work and before they closed at 6pm. There is street parking in this neighbourhood. They don't have a designated parking lot. This branch is the biggest among other branches in terms of space and square footage. Most of the items were sold out when I arrived so late in the evening. However, some of the items had 20% off such as buns, egg tarts and cheese tarts because it was at the end of the day. They tried to sell off the rest of the items at a discounted price. Their customer service was okay. The servers at the counter/cashier were polite. I bought their egg tarts, cheese tarts and cakes. All of them were great! This bakery has been in the industry for a while. It's excellent that they can keep up the good quality and the pricing is reasonable. I tried their 6" and 8" cakes in the past. They were great. I personally thought that their quality was better than T&T's. The sweetness of their cakes or pastries in general are about right. I don't like the ones that are super sweet in western bakeries. The only downside is that the style and types of the buns and cakes always remain the same. I did not see any innovative or newer designs on their cakes and pastries. They all look the same to me in all these years.

Ziyan C.

Yelp
Affordable and tasty bakery! No wait on a Wednesday around noon. We enjoyed the Coconut Butterfly Bun and Egg Tart, though the crust of the Egg Tart was a bit crumbly.

Yelp
Was looking for an alternative Chinese Bakery in the East Vancouver area and noticed this one had some decent rating, went in the early afternoon and there was free street parking out front and it was not busy so I thought this was a good. Upon entry many of the display areas where the buns and sliced cakes would normally be on display were empty or very limited in what was left, ended up purchasing 6 items. Three of the baked goods were placed in a small box and the other three baked items were stored in self bags were just handed to me as they don't carry large plastic bags any more due the city's new greener initiative with plastic bags so it was a bit awkward taking all the items back to my vehicle, I actually dropped one on the sidewalk on the way out. None of the items seem fresh, the bbq pork bun was cold and the bbq pork inside was a mixture that had already gelled together, might have been better if I had microwaved it. The coconut bun was decent after I warmed it up in the microwave but I did this only after sampling the bbq bun. I've had better egg tarts at TnT and the coconut sliced cake was not very sweet almost bland. I haven't tried the other two items, a pineapple bun and a coconut tart but already know they will be average at best The only positive thing was they accepted credit card payment, I stick to Saint Germain, New Town, Kam Do or Pine House in the future

Yelp
I do like coming here. They have multiple location and usually I go to the Oakridge location instead. I usually order the baked pastry items. My favorite is the chicken pie. Its doesn't have a lot of sauce in it but there are lots of meat and vegetable. Very delicious. The top is flaky. The second item I like is their egg tart. I like the fact that the center custard is very generous (that is my favorite part). The other things I like here, are the cake. Every one of them is made on the day and is very fresh. This location has a large sitting area. You can order pastry and coffee and just sit and relax. As well, they have free wifi.

Yelp
Cakes have a powderey taste as well as the icing which I find not very sweet. Overpriced. I highly recommend T&T.

Allison K.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to bakeries!! I have several favourites, it's hard to narrow it down to just one. I love the mini chicken pies, the chocolate cake pastry and the Mango Strawberry Mousse cake!! What's keeping me from giving it a 5 star is ... I've been a fan since I was a kid ... and I remember the quality from waaaaaaaaaaaay back then. From then to now, they've taken a few short-cuts here and there and I totally noticed. Despite the few changes ... everything is still great and yummy!

Kate C.

Yelp
Yummm! I've been a regular at Anna's cake house because I really like their buttercream icing. It always tastes fresh, creamy and not sickeningly sweet. In the past our go-to cakes were the mango and strawberry mousses, but at one point the recipe changed and the consistency tasted more like gelatine than it did mousse.. This time I ordered their fresh mango cake which was quite good, but a few of the fresh mango cubes layered into the cake were really sour and tangy.. not the good kind either. Still didn't ruin the cake, but I feel like I've had better fresh mango cakes elsewhere. I also picked up a dozen assorted tarts. The crispy/flaky egg tarts, regular egg tarts & cheese tarts. Tarts are pretty big & a great deal! Especially their cheese tarts which are only $1.75? (I don't remember the exact price but it's less than $2) and I've seen them at other bakeries for the same quality for close to $4 per tart. The cheese tarts are really light and almost like a mini cheesecake! Def worth a try.

Yelp
I work by one, this one is not usually my normal stop when buying cakes for the family birthdays! But with that said I had a call to get my Grandma's birthday cake on a Sunday and this was along the way. On a Sunday afternoon when I did not call for any bookings of a particular cake I came in and had a few selections of non-marked up cakes, the staff here was very friendly and pointed out all the cakes that were not bought up for what I needed, and asked me how many people were going to eat. During this time I also had to use the washroom, and this one does have one! So during my running with nature I had to get the key, and while rushing over I noticed many pictures with HK celebrities, usually while they were in town during their very own concerts, so Anna's is probably one of the bigger sponsors. I also noticed you can sit around here, order drinks, have pastries, not just your take an go location. This place is where the stuff is produced and trucked out to their other stores.. the main base as they say! My family is a huge fan of their stuff, especially their cakes for birthdays. I love the fact they always give you the choice, if you pre-order, to either go for regular cream, or the more flavourful fattening butter cream, and with multiple selections that have made Chinese parties famous with their cakes. If you are not in for the big celebration, but need to bring some small pastries, this is also considered the best of the Chinese bakeries in the Lower Mainland, stuff like flaky Napoleans, egg tarts (not my favorite here), assorted sweet and savoury buns, puddings and cheesecakes just to name a few. The place cost a bit more than the competition, but they also know they are better than the competition. I enjoyed this location, and if I ever actually wanted to sit around a place eating their pastries, I know I can do it right here!

Yelp
This is Anna's flagship location, being the first branch in Vancouver, and the one that serves coffee. And of course, they also make their products here and then ship to other branches. As far as I know, this is where it all began for authentic Hong Kong style pastry. There were many HK style shops but they weren't quite focused on quality as Anna's. They quickly made the peanut cake their signature product, followed by napolitan and then their buns. I've been buying their products since the beginning, and to be consistent for this long, they are amazing! Their buns, cakes, tarts, breads, and then....the service, have been VERY consistently high quality. One can argue that there are other such brands at par with Anna's in Vancouver, but to have the customer service too is a challenge, and Anna's has stepped up to deliver just that. I have been a fan for decades, and will continue to be as long as they don't change.

Yelp
We stopped in a little before 5pm and the selection was quite small; I assume there are more things at the beginning of the day. During these COVID-19 times only 6 people are allowed in the shop at a time but it wasn't busy when we went. The staff were lovely and the pastries were delicious and affordable (20% off select items after 5pm). Coffee (flavoured) cake: I was raised on the light and fluffy texture of Chinese cakes and I have to say, Anna's makes one of the lightest! Their small rectangular coffee cakes have just the lightest layer of whipped cream "frosting" and topped with sliced almonds. Peanut cake: similar to the coffee cake, except tastes like peanuts (and covered in peanut crumbs) instead of coffee :) Cheese tart: like a light cheesecake in a tart crust! Much more affordable than other cheese tarts you might see around town BBQ pork bun: My friend didn't like this because he felt there wasn't enough meat in it but if you like Chinese BBQ pork (which has the meat, fat, and cartilage bits), you'll like this too! Slightly on the mushy side though. Hot dog bun: one of my nostalgic comfort foods, with the juxtaposition of a sweet milky bun with a savoury hot dog in the centre. I think compared to other Chinese bakeries in Vancouver, Anna's is a little simpler in design and more affordable. Their buns are softer, denser, and milkier than the ones at other Chinese bakeries, and their light fluffy cakes are a great solution to when you're craving cake but don't want anything too rich or decadent.

Yelp
Ordered my chocolate with butter cream icing wedding cake from Anna's in February. The ceremony had to be delayed by a month due to COVID, and Anna's was very accommodating with the delay. Cake was everything we hoped for and more: delicious, beautiful, done on time and affordable! Would recommend this bakery to everyone.

Caitlin V.

Yelp
Best cream puffs in B.C.!!! I love both regular and green tea Flickr cream puffs! I think it's better than Beard Papa's! The puffs are smoother and fresh!

Amy T.

Yelp
I ordered the Coffee Buttercream Cake from Anna's and it was delicious. What I liked about it was that it wasn't too sweet and there was the right amount of icing. They accept credit cards too. tip - order ahead of time if you plan to walk in and pick up a cake on a major holiday in the morning.

Priscilla Y.

Yelp
We get our cakes from Anna's a lot since it's my brother's favourite chocolate cake...just cause of the sprinkles lining the side but the cake itself is moist, not layered with too much cream or overly sweet! I do find it a bit pricey though.

Amy O.

Yelp
My parents have been buying birthday cakes from this place since I was 3 y/o. As I kid I use to not like it (because most kids would prefer ice cream cake) but as I got older I started to like the fruit cake my parents bought. Hands down so good my parents started buying the mango cake from annas and it's something y'all should try out. Anna's cakes are not bland nor TOO SWEET it's the right amount of sweetness. I just stopped by check out the cake price list and some egg tarts; Egg tarts were good. They have 2 kinds of egg tarts: Regular and Crunchy? I liked the crunchy one! Long story short try their fresh mango fruit cake!! I'm pretty sure their other desserts are yummy as well!

Bryan T.

Yelp
Love coming to this location. I find this location on Broadway to be the best. Ordered the fresh fruit Napoleon cake earlier in the week and came to pick it up today. Love the cakes from here but not so much the bake goods. The cake was moist and the whipping cream was light. Lots of fresh fruit too. Prices have gone up a bit. But I'll still be coming here in the future.

Yelp
I have dreams about their buns at night when I am in the US. As soon as I land I get to Anna's as soon possible to buy two of each my favorite buns. I could live off these buns alone on a deserted island. Yesterday, I discovered at this location, their shortbread cookies and forget any other shortbread cookie you have ever had, this flaky light miracle will make you dance the Samba and move your hips like nothing you have ever experienced! Seriously, it's unbelievable; I did a dance for five minutes and when my husband saw me, he wanted a bite too, but I refused. He then had one and went insane as well. I can't even describe online the noises and dance moves we made, but I can mention that I jumped up and down like a monkey. I suspect they put shortening in it which why it's so light and tasty, but I prefer this over a hard, dense texture in traditional shortbread cookies. To top it off, there is free 2 hour parking so I am going to this location from now on as the one on Broadway never has any parking. Their tuna buns are my favorite but their chicken and pea and BBQ pork buns are tasty too. Their egg tarts are my favorite kind, with a nice dense cookie like crust, not the flaky type. Their mousse cakes are a bit too bland and spongy for me; they remind me of jello with all the gelatin in them. They have frozen baked goods as well but I prefer going here and getting it fresh whenever possible. I used to go to the location on Cambie just before closing to get a 20% discount but the selection is limited at the end of the day. Don't waste your time with any other bakery! This is the only bakery worth going to and I have been going to Anna's since they first opened.

Akina L.

Yelp
I LOVEEE THE FRUIT CAKE HERE. I am not into buttercream and love how they use fresh whip here for the cream instead. The fruit is always so fresh and sweet. The fresh mango cake here is just as amazing. They provide a super sturdy cake box for your journey to wherever you are going. The cakes are definitely on the more pricier side but you're paying for the quality really. We got a cake for 25 people for approx $56 dollars. They were all good sized pieces for our party. I've never tried any of the other baked goods here so I can't speak on those but the cream cakes definitely get a thumbs up from me!!! Would I come back? HECK YES!!!

Natasha C.

Yelp
Yum! I love Anna's bakery buns! I always pick some up when I'm in the area. I never had a problem with the quality of the buns. You must try the cappuccino pie! It's so good. Parking along Broadway during specific times and residential in the side streets. Don't wait until the end of the day because she usually sells out.

Marc D.

Yelp
* The egg tart quest continues.... * Ok, I forgot to yelp about this spot which was part of the egg tart quest last week. Anna's came highly recommended as an excellent bakery, and I'm sure it is. But their egg tarts are not their specialty sadly. I came in, saw what looked like old product - with pools of liquid forming on the top looking very soggy. So I skipped it. Fail on the egg tart. But their cream puffs looked really good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pastry and the cream. I bet some of their other cream based products (like the cakes) are good as well. They did a slightly upscale job of packing up the cream puff too - giving you a box with a ribbon and all. Guess they've got the wedding cake planning thing down and know to do the little touches to win the business! So I'd give them a solid rating as a bakery, but give them a pass on the egg tarts - just not their thing apparently!

Patricia L.

Yelp
If you are married to someone who loathes buttercream, Anna's cake offerings are the way to go. Light cream and a variety of not-too-sweet fruit mousse cakes can all be found here. They also have lots of Asian pastries that make anyone averse to sweets that are too sweet, happy and able to enjoy dessert for once. I grew up with a largely Asian influenced diet, so desserts like chocolate cake, cupcakes, and ice cream were not a part of our meals. Afternoon snacks and pastries filled with lotus paste and the like however, are very familiar to me and can all be found here. YUM. Their service is friendly and their facilities are clean. Also, if you are looking for large cakes that are not too sweet for weddings and events, they can accommodate you too.

Kate S.

Yelp
I love cake. Very much. Unfortunately I am constantly let down by lacklustre cakes from even the most upscale shops but Anna's always delivers! The cakes always are soft and fresh with authentic flavours. None of this artificial, coating your mouth crap. They are wonderful. They also make the most amazing cappuccino tarts in the world. One bite and you're screaming for more, no joke. I got my wedding cake from Anna's. It was a beautiful chocolate layer cake with cream and strawberries and was so stunning. While we were doing tastings they were kind enough to let us sample lots of their other items so not only are they excellent bakers they are nice people too! I go back again and again and will continue to do so until they are no longer there but I foresee that they will be around for a long time to come. Yay!

Mark H.

Yelp
Anna's fresh mango cake is The One. I've tried the same cake at other Chinese bakeries and nothing comes close to Anna. Perfectly ripe mango sliced evenly and thin, fresh cream, light white cake. It's simplicity at its best (though I'd never attempt trying to replicate at home). You can have a couple pieces and not die of sugar overdose. Do call ahead to reserve a cake though as they usually sell out.

Polly C.

Yelp
Last week: I picked up a pineapple and coconut cake for the bf as I knew he likes pineapples and coconuts; however, he said that it was too sweet. I thought the inside of the cake was a little mushed with in between the bites of the coconut slivers. 2.8/5 Yesterday: Changing the type of cake to get this time for my mom, I decided to pick fresh fruit and fresh mango layered on top of the cake. I knew that the Anna's Cake House is well known for its Napolean and Fresh Mango Mousse Cakes. Handsdown. Didn't make the wrong choice. My mom loved it - she had two gigantic pieces of the cake. 5/5 An average of these results is 78%...round it to 80%. Therefore, 4 out of 5 stars.

Kyle W.

Yelp
We just had 4 cakes made for our baby's christening, with pictures on top - expensive, Excellent service, and WOW-delicious and beautifully moist cakes! It's probably the best-made cake you can get. They also have other bakery items - I had some wicked pineapple buns too. Thanks everybody!

April B.

Yelp
I have had their NY cheesecake. But this time when I ordered it for a 70th birthday party, the salesperson asked if I wanted mango or strawberry and I decided on the mango flavour. You will be sorely disappointed if you order the mango cheesecake, which does not taste like cheesecake at all but rather more like the light mousse cake. The New York cheesecake they offer is baked and tastes cheesy. But if you order the mango or strawberry cheesecake, it has no cheesy flavour whatsoever. It is not baked and is definitely closer to a "mousse" than cheesecake. I ordered a large cake for a big birthday party and every single guest agreed it did not taste like cheesecake at all. We were extremely disappointed. When I spoke to the manager, she said they had been doing that cake for 40 yrs and were not open to changing the description. Even though she admitted their New York cheesecake and fruit cheesecakes has different consistencies and were not alike at all. I suggested the staff remind the customer of the difference otherwise, new customers would be disappointed. I did not ask for a return. I just wanted a replacement NY cheesecake to replace the cheesecake mousse. But they did not accept my request. So they lost a customer. If you want cheesecake, any other place would be better than Anna's

Serena W.

Yelp
Came here for wedding cake tasting. Lisa was very nice and patient. Answered all of our questions and gave us a lot of different options to try. The mousse kind was my favorite. Had the chocolate, mango, and tiramisu. Chocolate was my fav while the bf liked the tiramisu. Lisa also gave us two pieces of the buttercream to try right from the counter- wasn't my style by the bf loved it. Definitely a good option if you are looking for a wedding cake!

Adrian A.

Yelp
The fruit cake at Anna's Cake House is one of there best, so light with plenty of fresh fruit in and out, the strawberries on top were super fresh and the display and the writing on the cake were exactly what I wanted. You might need to give them a call a day in advance if you are looking for a particular cake, sometimes they might be sold out if you plan on just walking in for cash and carry. They are open 7 days a week and street parking is always available, highly recommended.

Ano Y.

Yelp
bought two coffee cakes in a week..the first one was great, soft and sweet. however the second one, exactly the same one, was a disaster.. the inside was so dry and could tell it was made so many days ago. they shouldn't sell this old cake. so disappointing.

Patricia S.

Yelp
Picked up a cake for our coworker's farewell party who always goes to Anna's. We got her the mango mousse fruit cake. I've never had their cakes before but was pleasantly surprised. The cake was soft and spongy, and very light tasting with the mango mousse inside. The fruits were pretty fresh, except a few coworker's thought the strawberry was kind of sour but I didn't think it was that bad. Definitely a nice change from the usual Baskin Robins or DQ ice cream cakes we usually get at the office. Will definitely get the next cake there for my nephew's birthday!

Pibduffy T.

Yelp
Love ordering my cakes here on special occasions, they are always ready to take your orders. They have friendly customer service and always want the best for their clients. Fresh Mango cake is you go to cake!

Calvin C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The cakes are nice, fluffy and not too sweet. They put the right amount of buttercream in the pastries. Their tarts are amazing. The egg tarts have my favourite crust, the solid crust that doesn't fall apart once you pick it up. The fruit tarts are fresh and are great. The cheesecakes and slices of the mousse cakes are very good. But the cakes are divine; they're fresh, delicious, and are beautifully decorated. I find it amazing how they can make a cakes so fast and and decorate it so fast because they have to make everything else in the showcase. I will definitely go back.

E L.

Yelp
I was not disappointed by their cream puffs and they didn't frown on accepting credit for less than 3 bucks.

Kim L.

Yelp
I came to Anna's for my wedding cake after visiting a number of bakeries. I was already spending over my budget and needed to find a bakery that was going to give me a great tasting cake that didn't break the bank and had 3 tiers (each layer with a different flavor profile). The process was so easy and my contacts Perline and Michele were always quick to reply via email with any questions I had. Unlike many other bakeries, we didn't have to pay extra for the cake tasting. Mcihele helped us decide the size of the cake based on the number of guests we had: 3 tiered fresh cream round (6", 9", and 12") with chocolate mousse, tiramisu and napolean cakes. Since we had a formal dinner reception restaurant style, I wanted to give my guests the option of picking their dessert. I had extra flowers from my florist, so my cake was decorated with fresh flowers matching my wedding party--it turned out beautifully elegant (see uploaded photo). For less than $300 dollars, our wedding cake exceeded our expectations and our guests are still asking about who made our cake!

Paige W.

Yelp
I have no complaints at all about Anna's Cake House. We ordered our wedding cake from here, and it was fresh and tasty and simple, and it had no fondant! Which was a must-have for me, for I despise fondant. We had a three-tier 6"-9"-12" cake with fresh strawberry, coconut, and tiramisu. It tasted really good, but the cake might have been thought to look quite plain. I forgot my additional flowers to decorate, and Anna's doesn't really do much decorating beyond a few swirls of white on white. Didn't really bother me though, because I like simple. The cake tasted delicious, too. And the people are extremely pleasant to deal with. Yay, I AM a fan. I will order cakes from Anna's again.

Yelp
I only ever order the fresh mango cake but it is really good. Not too sweet and very light tasting. The mango is always perfectly ripe. Whenever I pick one up, I always pick up a few egg tarts and mini cream puffs too. The egg tarts are different as they have a sweet shortbread crust and the cream puffs are so airy without being overtly sweet. They need a few hours to make your cake so call about 3 hours before you want to pick up.

Yelp
The cake was terrible. It was for a 50th birthday (very special opportunity); we went there because we had been referred and our normal baker (Fratelli's) was away on holidays. We felt very disappointed in the cake and the service from staff and then the owner, afterward. It was bland, didn't taste like chocolate. It tasted more like butter, salt and a little bit of coffee. When we complained they justified it by saying they use milk chocolate, not dark chocolate, butter has salt in it and asked us if we were Chinese (?)...said they hadn't had a complaint in 41 years. So, apparently the take away is, if we were Chinese we would have been happy. We asked for our money back because we would never go back and they said no.

Yelp
I only come here to get my cakes! Birthdays, Mother's and Father's Day, and any other celebrations. Their cakes are really good quality, not too sweet and the decorations are always bang on. If you've never had a cake here, you have to! I've had a few pastries and their also fantastic.

Yelp
The best damn sponge cake based chestnut cake in the world. Hands down.
