"A refreshing alternative to the many traditional steakhouses in the city, Andiron brings a modern perspective to the Allen Parkway corridor. The live-fire steakhouse is helmed by chef Michael O’Connor who pushes the boundaries of familiar steakhouse plates. Guests may begin with hamachi crudo or the wagyu toast, before digging into crab-stuffed flounder or a prime NY strip." - Megha McSwain, Brittany Britto Garley
"This boutique-esque steakhouse offers a stellar burger on its lunch menu with a patty crafted from a wagyu blend that’s topped with aged cheddar and marrow onions. The Pomme Anna-style fries — hefty rectangle bricks of sliced potatoes that are peeled, pressed together, and fried — steal the show." - Brittany Britto Garley
"Andiron, Summerlin. An homage to all things grilled, roasted, shucked, and seared, Andiron Steak & Sea is a Downtown Summerlin steakhouse from powerhouse restaurateur couple, Kim Canteenwalla and Elizabeth Blau. Their apricot wood-burning grill chars nine cuts of steak. For those who are non-fans of beef, the kitchen’s vegetarian and pescetarian dishes are equally delicious. Feeling like living large? Go for the shellfish platter for two with Maine lobster, king crab, oysters, shrimp, and ceviche."
"Andiron Steak & Sea, the steakhouse and seafood restaurant from Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla at Downtown Summerlin, closes this weekend for a refresh, a new focus, and a new chef and partner. After brunch on Sunday, Aug. 25, the restaurant closes for what Blau says will be a remodel that includes a larger bar area. The restaurant plans to focus on the steakhouse side of the business, with an interior that may become a bit more masculine. Right now, Blau says she’s finalizing the design permits, and hopes the renovations only take a few months. Brian Massie comes on board as the new chef/operating partner. Andiron opened in 2014 on the northern end of Downtown Summerlin and won Eater Vegas’ Restaurant of the Year and Canteenwalla won Chef of the Year in the 2015 Eater Awards." - Susan Stapleton
