Bryce is the best waiter. He gave us the warmest welcome. He is handsome, charming, friendly, funny and nice. He introduced the yummy food on the menu. He bought us extra soup and rice.

A Game-Changing Steak Experience at Amura! Rating: 5/5 Stars I'm still reeling from my incredible dining experience at Amura Japanese Restaurant! As a self-proclaimed steak connoisseur, I'm particularly discerning when it comes to my meat. Typically, I'm a ribeye aficionado, but Amura's New York strip completely changed the game for me. Cooked to perfection, the strip steak was, hands down, one of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. The tenderness, the juiciness, the rich flavor profile – every aspect was nothing short of exceptional. I was blown away by the quality and craftsmanship that went into preparing this dish. What's even more impressive is that Amura is a Japanese restaurant, and yet, they've managed to elevate a classic American steak to unprecedented heights. The attention to detail, the commitment to using only the finest ingredients, and the expertise of the chefs all shine through in this phenomenal dish. Love this bone soap! Ordered two appetizers. Excellent flavors. Service was great. Very busy!

Sat at an awkward table on the end. The space between the booth and table was far but seemed uneven. The drinks were average and food was also average. I was neither dissapointed nor impressed with the food. Good portions. Seems overall a bit better than average for a sushi and noodle place. Was excited to try the fried cheesecake but it was under par from what I've had in the past from other places. The peach sake was creamy and I didn't really like that one vs the regular peach sake. I felt like there was too much sauce on my dish also. Not planning another visit. Like I said, just overall unimpressed.

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurant for over 8 years and is always really good, we had Mango tango roll, buba roll, volcano roll, Godzilla roll all of them delicious super tasty and very well cooked, my baby had the kids menu Orange chicken with fried the portion was super generous and he loved

Feels like a hidden gem in Orlando! Dined here for the first time while in town and had a delicious meal. The service was great and everything was fresh. You can see the fresh fish hanging in the restaurant. Recommend stopping here.

Celebrated my birthday weekend here because I wanted sushi 🍣 and everything was amazing. Freshly made, hot, and phenomenal service, I will be returning.

I can only write this review solely on my experience with take out through the uber eats app, food itself, and the service upon receiving my order. I don't want to sound like a total snob and with all this covid madness and adjustments It's a big adjustment and a new system to run with. My order was placed through the Uber Eats app which was easy and everything went flawless. They sent me a specific time of when it would be ready, easy peasy right? Well, once I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, there was no one to greet me yet alone direct me to where I could retrieve my order and there were others waiting for the same type of direction. I waited an additional 30 minutes for my food and had to ask the host where my order was, and she got frantic and panicked and could only say it's being worked on. But before that the host told me my order wasn't even there. Now my frustration was about to kick in, but I kept my cool because I felt her stress and anxiety. But my order came through, and was fresh so I couldn't be mad anymore but i was beyond hungry already. As for the food, it came out great. It was good, flavorful, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I ordered a lot of rolls and everything was the perfect amount. Now, hopefully they can figure out their system and be hopefully more organized.

I've been here before when it was Anura. It's Sunday night. 6:30pm. It's happy hour. I'm one of 2 people at the bar. Bartender was attentive and friendly. The decor feels like this place is still under construction by the entrance. Sushi rating: great! Big pieces of fish in the happy hour rolls. Drink tastes great! I think it's literally the same happy hour Amura has and it's every day!! That's very exciting since this is Dr a Phillips and all;)I'll definitely visit again during happy hour !

We came here for the first time with another couple who recommended it. She had been at the location in Lake Mary and just raved about it. We decided to have a double date night and try it out. This location is in Dr. Phillips, inside the shopping center with the Barnes and Noble. From the street, you would miss it. In fact I have driven by millions of times and have never noticed it. Inside it is really pretty. Lots of booths, seats at the bar, tables and seats by the sushi makers. The lighting is really pretty, it creates a classy environment. The tables are close together but without them having all of them, the wait would be at least an hour. By the time we finished every single seat was full. I don't really consider myself a huge sushi fan, I like it but I am usually not very brave. I usually stick with the standard California rolls. I was a little nervous I wouldn't like it but honestly it was the best ever! They gave us a sheet with probably at least 50-60 choices of sushi and sashimi. It was actually a little too much. My eyes darted to the Bubba Roll. I thought the name was funny and I like the actual roll. Tempura shrimp, cream cheese and avocado. It was DELICIOUS. I literally could have eaten 2 or 3 of them. My husband had a rice-less sushi which he really enjoyed as well. Our friends ordered 3 different rolls to share and every one of them looked delicious and they thought were delicious. We started with the tempura appetizer. This was great too, how and cooked fresh. We all ordered drinks, which were really tasty but not too much alcohol for the price. I will probably stick with water or ice tea next time. I have to say I really enjoyed this restaurant. We are already talking with our friends about coming back. We decided we will order a bunch of different rolls and share them all but I know the Bubba Roll will definitely be on the list!

First time trying this sushi place, I am quite impressed and the sushi was delicious! The menu was a bit overpriced for the amount of sushi. Most speciality rolls were 13.99 or 14.99 with about 8 pieces. Other the the food with delicious and the interior is also very nice spacious and welcoming.

This place has an aesthetic style when you first walk in. I like how the restaurant appeared. We came in for lunch and they had bento boxes to choose from as well as a variety of sushi choices. For our lunches, we ordered the crispy chicken Katsu which comes with shrimp dumplings, fried vegetables, salad and some awesome sauce to pair with our food. I liked how the service was, our server was attentive and gave us time to look over our menus. The prices are are a bit expensive depending if you come in for lunch or dinner. Prices range from $11-20+. I liked that they have a a variety of sushi rolls to choose as well as unique names to match the sushi.

I'm a huge sushi fan and this is definitely a top 3 for me as far as Orlando goes. One of my favorite rolls here is the super crunch. I tried other items besides sushi but wasn't as impressed by the bento boxes. Service is okay.

This place is amazing. The rolls are creative and delicious, atmosphere is classy, and drinks are on point. I came here for a late dinner with a friend when we were both starving. Needless to say, we completely overordered but managed to, at least, try everything we got. The flavors and textures of each roll was delicious and melds in your mouth. Each one seemed better than the last. Had a drink as well and it was a great, memorable meal. Love this place. Would come here more often if it were closer but still manage to visit quite a bit.

I arrived on a Wednesday night at 8:00. The regular dining area was busy. I opted for the show so I sat in the Hibachi room (cooking at your table). I was the only one that chose this option so I had my own private chef, Jaun. I was surprised because he cooked for me with the same showmanship as if the table was busy. I ordered the 2 selection meal (steak & shrimp) $25.00. The meal came with clear soup and salad with a ginger dressing for starters. The main course came with stir fried vegetables (broccoli, onions, and zucchini) and white rice. There is an up-charge if you want fried rice. The portion was large and food was tasty. I felt the quality of food was above standard, although I did find the steak to be a bit chewy. Perhaps a filet choice would have been a bit better. Overall, this was a very good dining experience while visiting the Orlando area.

I love this restaurant. Been coming here for years every time I am in the area in Orlando. Can't miss a visit to have their Tuna Tataki. It is the absolute best anywhere ! They also have some creative sushi and sashimi options. Wonderful!

Tried this Amura in Orlando. I usually go to Lake Mary. The food here was phenomenal! We ordered the Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer and it was light, delicious and not greasy. We also ordered 3 different sushi rolls: Japanese Bagel Roll, The Volcano Roll and the Bubba Roll. Delicious! For the price you get your money's worth. Will definitely go back! Amura has the best sushi around.

I had lunch on a Sunday here. I had high expectations. It was mediocre. Service was good and the ambiance and decor was nice. The sushi was like most average sushi restaurants, maybe I expected more in the Dr. Phillips area and the setting. Maybe I needed to have more from the menu

There was a mixed reviews on yelp which caused me to be a little hesitant and coming here, but I'm really glad I did. First of all the environment is spectacular and has a fresh vibe to it. All the lighting is really cool and makes you feel like you're somewhere special. They serve top of the line high-grade bluefin tuna which really was melting your mouth kind of sushi. We also tried the Bubba roll which tasted so good and I highly recommend it! I also recommend the Hawaiian roll which is colorful and has raw fish on top sprinkle with orange roe. The Hurricane roll is also very good but it tastes very similar to the Bubba roll so I wouldn't recommend getting both of them together,if you want some variety. The tuna tower was amazing: fresh tuna on top and really soft melts in your mouth. Every role we got was excellent but I recommend the above mentioned rolls. Now the drinks. They have a great selection of cocktails. We tried the crouching Tiger drink which comes with an actual lychee fruit in it. This was so sweet and taste amazing. I also had the oral fixation which also was a very good drink. Excellent all round!!! Interesting thing about this places the service is so amazing because you have multiple waitresses taking your orders and asking if you're OK.

I wanted to love this place. The ambiance is great, the decor is flashy & the waitresses are very nice. But the food... I ordered the Sesame Chicken. What I got was an order of Sweet & Sour Chicken (Chinese style, no less) with sesame seeds on top what the heck, right? My friend ordered the California Rolls & the imitation crab meat was there but not mixed with mayonnaise- ??? So then it's not a California roll but you guys wanna call it that. Okkkkkay... Yellowfin roll was tiny & lacking in flavor (& overpriced). Fried rice tasted like it was sitting out in a heater all day. Got the Cherry Limeaid & that was yummy!! Won't be coming here again. I know good Asian cuisine is (pretty much) impossible to find in Florida, but geez at least hit closer to the mark by not severely modifying basic recipes to better your bottom line.

I really wanted to like this place, but I knew as soon as I talked to the hostess, I wouldn't. FOOD (3/5): Generally, overpriced for what you got. There are so many options for food on restaurant row. Granted, the fish was cleaned and prepared nicely. A friend and I split the Sand Lake Boat. This was a better deal than their combos, particularly because you seemed to only get 2 pieces of sushi. Someone mentioned that the miso soup was mainly broth. It was. I counted 1 piece of seaweed and no tofu. Seriously? Tofu isn't expensive. My husband got the steak. He said it was just "okay." I suppose you can't really compare a steak at a Japanese place to steak at a steakhouse. SERVICE (3/5): Service was slow. I think it depends on who you get. We had two servers, and our server disappeared midway through. Maybe he went on break, but service picked up when our other server was around. I noticed the table next to us wait 15 minutes for someone to greet them and take their drink orders. That's about the same wait we had. AMBIANCE (3/5): I felt like it was a mix of a club and a classy sushi bar... I didn't quite get the mix. It was crowded on a Friday night, and there was a wait. What really turned me off was that when I arrived there, I was told there was a wait for a table. Then another party arrived, was given a choice between sushi bar, high top, or table, and then seated promptly. There also isn't a place to wait. The entrance way is crowded, and there isn't much seating outside. Parking is awful because there are so many stores and restaurants in the plaza. I don't think they can do anything about it, but just keep this in mind when dining here. I can't say I'll be back. There are better sushi places in the area.

The sushi choice was amazing! The services was equally matched with the choice of roll: Lobster 007. I have to say I shouldn't have waited so long to visit this place. I've always heard it is a darn good choice for dinner and if I have a better half. I would make this the top pick on the list for date night chooses. Be sure to ask to be placed of the email list for special events.

Went for my birthday. Food was ok, menu was changed. I normally order tuna tataki appetizer, but the ingredients/toppings were changed. I prefer the one before. Even the sauce was different. Service was so so, definitely need improvement.

A busy restaurant tells me a lot. Located inside a market area parking was not easy to find. Two of us went to dinner here. Upon entering you can sense the vibe. The bar is loaded with every liquor possible they have a separate room for those who want teppanyaki and the tables are packed. Amura is a local restaurant that has been around for a decade this speaks for itself when you are situated in a tourist town like Orlando something has to taste right. I am a tuna lover, spicy, seared, Cajun whatever version you like if it's tuna it's a done deal. Has anyone noticed the sushi art? Because I have!! you know you have a great sushi chef when your food is too pretty to touch. Their tuna tower was excellent and their tuna tataki and short ribs were to die for. If I'm ever in Florida again I want to try their teppanyaki room. Expect to wait on the weekends. And the tables for two and four are really close together. Overall if your looking for sushi and great drinks this is a great local spot to try.

Great spot for great sushi without a pretentious atmosphere. The prices are very fair. The food quality is excellent. A definite for anyone wanting a great place to eat delicious sushi.

It's always a good choice if you are in downtown area. I like the sushi more than the hibachi options in their menu. The tuna tower and hurricane roll are my top choices. The staff are nice and the restaurant is clean.

Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating, little short on staff but was Minday night. Food was good: Coconut shrimp was heavy on the breading looks great but... Egg rolls very good nice sauce Salmon roll's excellent Alaska fried rice was excellent a food combination of ingredients with shrimp Orange chicken, nice chucks of chicken in crisp batter and good sauce coverage. Good place just needs more staff Waited 15/ 20 minutes for check.

Avoid this place at all cost! Horrible service and even worst food. The server spend half their time on their phones and eating over by their computer stand. The sushi is not fresh at all.. you can it's been sitting out for a while. I even saw the sushi "chefs" eating with their hands and then going to make the sushi without washing their hands! When I said something about it, instead of going to wash his hand the guy claimed he already washed it. I think his name is Tai... he's very rude and unprofessional. Told the owner/manager, Shin, and all he said was okay. Very dirty place and unprofessional. Ever since they switched owners, this place as gone down hill.

This place have been my absolute favorite. I try to make it there every time I'm in town. I always start with one of their delicious cocktail. My personal favorite is the Oral Fixation and Margarita. They have a great selection of sake, beers and wine too. Tuna tataki- very flavorful. I love the touch of fried garlic they add to it. Volcano roll- is a must try. One of the best I ever had. Salmon with baked crab and scallop on top. Ginger Seabass- possible the best dish we had that night. The light sweet soy sauce with ginger and scallions. Kalbi Short Ribs- the sweet flavor of the marinated beef was perfect. Served on a hot skillet over a bed a onion. If you love to eat good food and drinks, this is the place to go. We had too many dishes name on here. Just go try it.

Great! Everything that I have tried at this place has been trully amazing. The food it's delicious, the sushi is outstanding. I recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

I had dinner at Amura on a recent Friday night. When we arrived a little after 6pm the place was pretty empty but by the time we left a few hours later it was packed. The area has some pretty gnarly traffic and the parking lot seems to always be busy (I've eaten at other restaurants in the same strip). I very much enjoyed the sushi (I got the sushi dinner) and our waitress was very nice. One of the people I was out with asked for coffee at the end of the meal and was told they didn't have any. It seemed a little odd but my guess is that they didn't want people lingering since they were busy. No major complaints, just that slight inconvenience.

This place has the best sushi you will ever eat. If you try it I recommend the Rose Royce it's amazing. The staff is exceptional here and you will not be disappointed. I was running late for a meeting, called ahead and they had my order waiting At a table for me. LOVE THIS PLACE!!

The Sukiyaki was delicious and authentic. The best I've found in the Orlando area. The flavor is like the sukiyaki found in Japan.

Solid 4.5 stars. Every single thing I tried was delicious!! The mango tango and volcano sushi rolls, the honey beef short ribs, the Forbidden City style fried rice, and the Malaysian chicken curry. The honey beef short ribs are the best Korean style short ribs I've ever had, hands down. I love the sushi at Amura, it definitely ranks amongst the top of my fav's so far. They also have a happy hour, which is a great deal!

Food is super good specially their sushi , prices are super high and the service is midway service .

I wanted to personally praise a single individual who helped me with my take-out order. The food is undeniably breathtaking in, both, presentation and flavor, but the experience, overall, was taken to a new level thanks to Casey, the hostess at the front. True kindness, poise, and professionalism have never been more exemplified for me than in the actions of this young lady. To her, I say, "thank you." To Amura, I say, "nice work."

Absolutely ridiculous. Brought our order home, to find out they gave my boyfriend someone else's roe order. He called to ask where his was, and the manager of Amura proceeded to argue with my boyfriend, telling him his order was correct, even though it was blatantly wrong. Roe is not anywhere near sashimi. Boyfriend hung up, and the restaurant proceeded to CALL HIM BACK, to tell him AGAIN, that he was wrong, even though the incorrect order was clearly in front of our faces. Will NOT be back. Ordered from Amura through DoorDash a few days ago and was really impressed! I have been looking for a new sushi place in the area, as I hadn't found one I really enjoyed quite yet, but Amura takes the cake! Every roll I ordered was delicious and would be something I order again. I look forward to making this my go-to sushi place either via DoorDash or in person when everything is back to normal.

The atmosphere was great, the hostess and server were great, and the menu had a lot of options, so there's something for everyone. If the quality of the food was on par with the rest of the experience, this would be a 4-5 star review. Unfortunately, it wasn't. In my book, there's absolutely no excuse for serving brown spicy tuna ever, especially not when the prices are a higher than a lot of the other sushi restaurants around. Even the tuna nigiri was mealy and bland, like it had been frozen incorrectly for too long. The only cooked roll I tried was the real crab California roll which wasn't awful, but it was weirdly sweet, and it took a lot of soy sauce and wasabi to pull it out of the dessert realm. I'm not one to send food back so I didn't, but with how sick I felt after this meal, maybe I should have. It's probably safe to eat the cooked food, but I'd stay away from anything raw.

This place was good! I came here with a friend after the outlets and the strip mall it's in is usually packed but we were seated immediately! The sushi menu is on a long paper separate from the menu but everything was very affordable and the decor of the restaurant was beautiful, definitely feels higher end than the menu prices. I didn't give it 5 stars because it wasn't the most amazing sushi I've ever had. I got the Super Protein roll that was good but not amazing

This is probably one of my favorite spots to eat Sushi! I've tried different kinds of sushi but nothing compares to Amura's sushi. I must say I have a lot of favorites! From the Rolls Royce roll, to the Bubba roll, Volcano roll is a must! The quality of the sushi and the taste is so delicious! They have so many options, it almost makes you want to order everything off the menu. Their short ribs is so scrumptious, it's mouthwatering! I also love how you can order off the menu items. I ordered the Ninja crunch tuna and OMG you guys have to try it! So fresh and so tasty! I love everything about Amura, the food, the ambiance and the service is exceptional. I'm not a 5 star rater but after multiple experiences at Amura, I just have to share with everyone my experience which is the reason why I rate them 5 stars!

Ate here 6/8/18 and hadn't been at this location for a few years, was happy to see that the Sushi Rolls here remained as LARGE as they were all the previous/multiple times we've eaten here. We had been going to the Lake Mary location, since it was closer to Jacksonville and less traffic, but quit after this last February 2018 when the Sushi rolls that were $13+ resembled the smaller size you'd find at your local Publix. We now plan to drive the additional distance/traffic to this location. 9/17/15: Used to live in Orlando and come here several times a week. Had the Beauty & the Beast Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Unforgettable Roll, Dancing Eel Roll, Salmon Lovers Roll and a new one...Real Lobster Roll. Superb as always !!!

They changed the menu, service was poor and attention to detail was lacking. The orange chicken sauce was congealed, white rice mediocre and portions reduced. The waiter forgot to bring the sushi and the main Meal came while we were still eating our appetizers. The once plentiful menu has been diminished to a laminated two sided menu which has limited choices. The excellent menu, food, service and atmosphere ended with the previous ownership. In the past, We used to look forward to eating there due to the superb cuisine and service. Sadly, we will not be returning.

I used to love this place been coming here for more then 10 years, but boy has it gone down hill!! I guess they changed ownership and you can really tell. The service and food quality has gone way down while the prices have gone up. Very disappointing since this used to be my favorite sushi place.

Some of these reviews questioning the sushi quality make me question my sanity. For my experience, it was some of the best I've ever had (and I have been eating sushi for 30+ years) The location and crowded parking lot are challenging but the service and food were everything I could dream of. The Salmon Ladder, specifically, is a superb value and incredibly tasty.

Hi this is one of the worst hibachi grills we have ever been too! First of all when we walked in the hostess was rude!!! Then when we got the menu we were told that it's was $2 up charge if we wanted fried rice which did not make since!!! We ordered it anyways!! We ordered Chicken and steak. The chicken was rubbery and had no flavor. The steak was tough and also had no flavor!! And the up charge for the fried rice was a waste of money the rice had no flavor no butter hardly any sauce! The Cook over cooked and burned it! We will never go back again for sure!!!!!

I visited Amura Sushi a while ago. Maybe I had too high of expectations, maybe I was hoping to find that one perfect place to go for some delicious, melt in your mouth, freshly cut, savory sushi at Amura. Alas, my hopes were too high and my visit to Amura proved to be quite ordinary. I have a problem with places that charge too much for too little. That's how I felt when I ordered the Rolls Royce, and all I got was rice with a sliver of shrimp in the middle drizzled with sweet sauce and topped with masago. I know it looks pretty but pretty is not going to fill my tummy. The Crystal Bubble roll that I got reminded me of a Vietnamese spring roll wrapped in rice paper. Maybe I ordered the wrong rolls this time around, but overall I was quite underwhelmed with my experience at Amura.

In my quest for Orlando food so many people have said "Go to Amura and have the Rolls Royce Roll." It seems to be very popular. So I wanted to check it out and see what the hype was all about. I was in a good mood, service was excellent and cheerful, the saki I had was good. I ordered Toro (Fatty Tuna) Sashimi and the Rolls Royce Roll. I had some time to sip my saki and look around the place. The decor is sort of like early 90's trendy. I almost thought at any moment Kelly Kapowski and Zack Morris would walk in and take a seat at the bar. The bar is near the entrance which I don't like. I like bars further from the door, so that patrons are not exposed to the opening and closing of the door. It's a little off putting. My server was a doll. Sweet, attentive, and likable. My fatty tuna came to the table except it didn't look or taste much like fatty tuna. It looked and tasted a lot more like regular tuna sashimi. The difference is the coloring and marbling texture. The tuna belly is more marbled and fatty hence the name "fatty tuna" It gives you a very melt in your mouth luscious flavor. The color is more pink and marbled. The reason it is market price is that Tunas only have one belly so it's not as common. I was charged market price for Toro - fatty tuna - $10.99 for 3 slices of what looked and tasted like regular tuna. (see picture) Then came the Rolls Royce Roll. It was super ricey, It was pressed rectangular and was 95 percent rice 5 percent filling. The menu on their website boast - Kani, Escolar, Tempura Crunch, Masago. - http://amura.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Dr.-Phillips-Sushi-Menu.pdf I was not impressed at all. It fell apart into two pieces and the middle section where the "goodies" were supposed to be only yielded tiny scraps of kani and tempura. I could not find any escolar at all. I was not happy with the extreme amount of Kale garnish and all of the garnish in the middle of the it. It seemed to be filler. in fact the whole roll is filler. Basically it's a roll of rice and tiny scraps for 12.99. 1.5 stars. as the sushi rice is good and the service is good but I can not excuse the rest.

So, imagine you are walking down the street innocently at Epcot, when you get the hellish idea from the internet (all those hours trawling dirty craigslist sex ads) to have a drink "around the world." After you stumble out of Mexico with your last few tequila shots bought by a group of people you didn't know who disliked your friend, you lose your credit card, break your purse, and then pass out in the car ride home. Except you didn't get to go home. You woke up at fucking Amura. Where you order a $20 "steak" from some cranky old Korean lady selling over priced fake sushi. Shit sucks. Bad food, very not authentic, and way over priced. If I were sober I would have never allowed us to come here. Fuck you Epcot, and your around the world drinking binge.

I give this a 1 star because food didn't make it to my mouth. They took us 10 minutes to seat when there was no business and never came to take our order. We left after 30 minutes. Their service is terrible.

I came in right at opening and they were already getting busy. The service was pretty good and the waiter ensured the lunch went smooth. We had the Tuna Tataki which is awesome. Fresh tuna and some sesame oil and few other sauces. Very good and such a delight to eat. We had the Rolls Royce Roll which was so good. We also had the Napoleon roll and Bubba Crunch roll. Both were also very good. The bubba crunch was lettuce wrapped and the lettuce were very fresh and crunchy adding to the excellent taste of the roll. The inside of Amura is really nice and adds to the experience. I have eaten there before and will definitely come back when in the Orlando area again.

This is a KOREAN based Sushi place. TIP ::: AUTHENTIC SUSHI OR JAPANESE EATERIES DO NOT CARRY OTHER ETHNIC CUISINES IN THEIR MENU BESIDES WHAT THEY ARE KNOWN FOR. This place and also Seito are my go to places for lunch. Its cheaper to eat here than dinner. I like amura's quantity on their tempura pieces - Compared to Seito to which they only serve so little tempura pieces. The only complaint I have is the service here is quite off during the times Ive eaten here. Don't expect a good service on Friday and Weekend nights because the servers are known to hustle and bustle and forget Hospitality service! The last time I had takeout order here I ordered The Bento Lunch with Tempura Veg with Shrimp. Mind you the bento lunch ALREADY HAS THE. TEMPURA VEGGIES INCLUDED IN THE MEAL -- So you would figure if a customer orders additional Tempura the quantity would show? I requested to have the seperate tempura that was additionally added to be boxed in a container seperately .. IT WAS NOT DONE! Therefore that means The tempura pcs is not what is expected from the menu at all!! Running a Business you listen to your customers needs and wants and also REQUESTS!!! This place failed that IMO. Some of the prices here are overpriced especially dinner time. The prices here you are better off eating at EDDIE V's!!! Amura - Settle your customer service and also listen to your customer requests!!!

It was ok, not a chopstick novice and the silver one was hard to use. After I saw another patron use a wood version. I asked for it, she said the wood ones are given with carry out, however a customer can request it. The salmon tower was too tall for one bite, it fell apart on me. The salmon tower was too sweet for my taste. However the experience was awesome and fun.

Be warned. Under new ownership . Not the amura sushi it's been for years . It's called akasaka sushi now & the food was horrible . It honestly looked like something a five year old would make . I know kids are out of school right now so maybe that's who made my food. The presentation was horrid , the fish tasted like it came from a Walmart fish tank . Paid almost 50 dollars for a stomach ache.

I really enjoy going to Amura for their sushi and bento boxes during lunch time, really good price and great quality sushi rolls as my previous review has stated. I do want to add something new here- IF YOU HAVE SHELLFISH ALLERGY, DO NOT GO TO A SUSHI RESTAURANT. I read about someone that had shellfish allergy went to Amura and then got the allergy really bad because restaurant didn't take care of him. Why would anyone go to a Sushi place if there's an existing shellfish allergy? Not everyone knows how to handle that type of allergy, so if you go to a sushi restaurant with live action going on behind the counter, who knows which knife cuts what!?!!? This is like having a peanut allergy and going to a Peanut manufacturing facility for snacks. If you really want to have sushi that bad, just go have it home. Unless you're like at some extremely high end sushi restaurant, might be able to make special request, but honestly don't be silly and go to a sushi place with your shellfish allergy.
