Amboseli National Park

A captivating park with beautiful animals, most of which are elephants and gazelles. You have to be lucky to see lions and leopards. You can definitely see the sunrise and be amazed by the animals and Mount Kilimanjaro at the same time.

Absolutely breathtaking! Great views of the wildlife with the mount Kilimanjaro. In just 2 hours we were able to see so many animals. Hunderst of elephants everywhere! Definitely a must to visit!

If you’re trying to see elephants and hundreds of them, look no further. This arid plain fed by the water of Kilimanjaro makes for an exceptional habitat to see them. A few hours after sunrise they often are moving in big family troops from the east of the park into the Central Park where the water is. Birding is good around the lakes and swampy zones with many different types of cranes, storks, and small shorebirds. Large flocks of flamingos can be found on the shores of the primary persistent lake. I visited in the dry season of February and animals were still way to spot. Roads are full of safari vehicles which is a blessing and a curse. I don’t know how a park like this would function without the revenue they bring in and the vehicles keep people and animals separated in a way that is safe for both. At times, when 20 vehicles are trying to crowd around a cheetah in the sun it feels odd partly due to the cheetah’s indifference and the crowd’s thirst to watch its every action, but if this strange relationship is what maintains this place so these organisms can exist within the world of Homo economesis than so be it. This is not to make it sound like this is some sort to zoo carved by roads. A good majority of the space has no roads, so animals can find places where they need not interact with humans. I sometimes wonder if the animals have stories that map the changes of humans; imagine the stories elephants may have of the omnivorous naked primate that once ran the plains and now only can be found on the wide and worn dirt paths in the belly of awkward aluminum beasts that fart diesel.

Our visit to Amboseli National Park was simply breathtaking! 🐘🦁 Exploring the park with my wife was an unforgettable experience, highlighted by the incredible sight of elephants grazing peacefully in the swamps and even witnessing lions feeding on a fresh kill. 🏞️✨ The stunning scenery and up-close encounters with wildlife made it a day to cherish forever. Amboseli truly offers a magical and awe-inspiring safari experience! 🌅❤️

Absolutely amazing national park. We did a tour through Keshi Tours (and had the kind and wonderful tour guide Richard) and were fortunate enough to see all the animals we wanted to see, including lions, and experience elephants in front of the stunning Kilimanjaro view. Recommend!!!

Great location for a safari especially if you're working on a limited schedule. I just finished a 4-day 3 night safari and it was definitely more than enough time. I've been to the mall and also samburu and this is pretty much on the same level. Zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippopotamus, male lions, ostrich, Wildebeest, gazelles and more! Definitely take the Maasai village tour!

Fantastic panoramic views across a wide area. Very open terrain compared to some of the other parks. We were particularly happy to see flamingoes and so so many elephants! Managed to see the mountain just as we left as well

We spent 2 days at the Maasai Mara and didn’t expected to see better. In fact after the first kilometers in a road dusty we arrived in a flat area where elephants and zebras are. The amazing view of the Kilimanjaro is unique and we had the opportunity to do one half day afternoon and early morning game drive which is the best option to see animals. Tips- you need to buy the ticket via e-citizen app, if you can access to the app you can ask one guide to do it for you. The ticket is valid 24 hours , good thing if you arrive beginning of PM from Nairobi. We did it in October very dry road, bring one mask.
