"Rustic luxury is the vibe at Amansala, where all accommodations are cabana-style. How rustic? Well, lights go out at 11 each night, after which time candles provide illumination. Ocean breezes do the work that is relegated to air-conditioners at less eco-conscious hotels. Rooms are decorated with locally sourced materials, including driftwood and stones. Candles and incense are in-room amenities. The idea, says owner Melissa Perlman, is for guests to feel that they're staying at a friend's home rather than an anonymous hotel where they're just a room number. Loved my time at Amansala Beach Club. Super chill spot right on the beach with an amazing view and a really nice laid back vibe. Perfect place to relax, eat, drink, and just enjoy the moment. The food and drinks were great, fresh and tasty, and exactly what you want at a beach club. Service was friendly and easygoing, never pushy, which made it even better. Once you sit down, you honestly do not want to leave. If you want a cool, relaxed beach club in Tulum without the over the top party scene, this place is a great choice. Would definitely come back.

We had an excellent stay at Amansala after a tricky start to our holiday. We were staying down at another hotel on the beachfront around a 1-2km away, which unfortunately had construction taking place next door that was continuous through the day with heavy drilling etc. We decided to quickly move on from the property and came down to Amansala where Gaby at reception and his team were very helpful in understanding our situation and supporting us with finding us a new place to stay that we could move into immediately. He was very accommodating and the customer service from Gaby was excellent. We also have to mention the staff servicing the restaurant and the beach areas as they were also just as brilliant. Always there when you need and never too pushy or over bearing and over the course of the week it was nice to build little personal relationships with each of the team members. We could not recommend it more as a place to stay and would definitely come back again. We’ve walked up and down the beach during our stay in Tulum, and this is without a doubt the best place to stay. It has a fantastic beach area with lots of different areas to sit in, with great sun all day. It might not be the cheapest but it’s certainly the best from what we have experienced - and is absolutely worth it. Also worth mentioning that you could eat in every night at this place. It can be hard to find really good quality food in the Tulum zone (although we recommend checkpoint pizza if you’re wanting a break from Mexican food for a bit) but the food at Amansala is of a very good standard compared to what else is available in the beach zone and it’s reasonably priced in line with US costs which is what to expect when in a beautiful place like this. The breakfast was also fantastic. 10/10 We also did yoga every morning which was so peaceful - the studio overlooks the ocean and the classes have been fantastic. Challenging whilst also accessible (were beginners). Amansala is definitely the place to stay for your trip to Tulum!

This will be the most unconventional yet necessary review. I stayed at 2 other hotels in Aldea Zama and extended my trip to have a beachfront experience. Amansala was not only recommended by friends living in Tulum, but has been visited by celebrities & has raving reviews from highly reputable publications like Forbes & Vogue. I decided to go for it as I’m into wellness, yoga, & ancient healing which Amansala checked those boxes. I booked the smallest basic room(which I didn’t mind) but after 30 min of staying & doing some research/exploring, I felt I made the wrong decision and was about to leave. Then, as if the universe heard me, Jorge the manager contacted me offering to upgrade my room for free(showed me 3 exquisite rooms)along with trying to adjust certain services for an extremely low price/almost free. Ultimately I ended up changing hotels because the services I needed didn’t align with my timeline of other actives I booked. HOWEVER, as I write this from another hotel, I would go back instantly due to Jorge & his entire staffs hospitality and genuine care. Tulum is extremely tourist-dependent so having Jorge & his staff be SO genuinely accommodating felt like a relief, like family. I didn’t feel like a walking peso being hollered at by every vendor. I’ve worked in hospitality & have been to countless hotels. I’ve seen the good & bad. Service has to be top priority & they got it right. I will definitely be back when the time aligns for me. My 1 hour stay😂 at Amansala was amazing due to Jorge & his staff so I expect him to still be there when I’m back! If he isn’t, I’ll be anticipating a meeting with the owner!💁🏻‍♀️ Much love xx

I hosted a Pilates retreat with a group of 11 people. Everyone loved it here! Friendly staff, great food and drinks. The resort is directly on the beach and is small which makes everything very easy. The ocean is turquoise and the sand white. Their Shalas were all beautiful and inspiring for our daily Pilates classes. We experienced a beautiful cacao ceremony and sound bath which was an experience to remember. I highly recommend and will come back for sure !

We had a wonderful stay at Amansala Resort. From the first moment, we felt welcome and completely relaxed. The rooms are nicely decorated and very cozy, which made us feel at home right away. The beach club became one of our favorite places – so many cozy spots to relax, whether you want to read, sunbathe, or simply watch the waves. The staff deserves a special mention: everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. You really feel that they enjoy what they do, and that makes all the difference. The service is fantastic, and the food… absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful, and with portions that really surprise you in the best way. What we loved most was the barefoot feeling in the whole resort. You can walk around without shoes all day – either on soft sand or on wooden paths. It creates a very calm and natural atmosphere and helped us relax so much. Amansala truly touched our hearts. We left completely relaxed and very thankful for our stay. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, enjoy nature, and recharge, this resort is a wonderful choice.

I stayed here for four days and came in really needing rest and relaxation — and that’s exactly what I got. The property is peaceful, the food was absolutely delicious, and every meal felt thoughtfully prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and even the dogs on the property were so sweet and approachable, adding an extra touch of comfort to the experience. Overall, it was the perfect place to unwind. I left feeling refreshed and would absolutely come back.

Such an amazing eco friendly resort. The staff is so attentive. Amazing fresh excellent food for your body. And the crashing waves for the soul. A truly awesome experience. And the onsite dogs are a bonus. Relaxing massages. Such and beautiful way to slow down and recharge in this crazy busy world.

Ty for the best time! Our 1st trip to Mexico was excellent. Fabian, Jorge, Yolanda, Ryan, will take care of you plus all the other staff are friendly, helpful, supportive. Have a massage with Gabi, and do the sound bath for extra relaxation! Beautiful, clean property. Can’t wait to come back!
