I love this poke place in Kona their Japanese potatoslaad is delicious and it makes my poke even better... unfortunately they are close for business this time ... hopefully they will re open soon

So good!! Poke was awesome. Tried different kinds... all good. The garlic is so good... it's steeped in soy sauce for days and tastes completely unique. Definitely get these on the side!

Super fresh, cold, and refreshing ginger ahi with seaweed salad. Sticky rice was on point, as was the poke. Definitely one of the best on the island!

I believe the reviews give this place a little too much credit, but i am still glad we went. The poke and shave ice was a little overpriced - $8 for shave ice and $17 for poke. But despite the high cost, the shave ice was delicious - i got the pineapple and watermelon and highly recommend! The poke wasn't the best i've had on the island, but it was still good. The place is in the corner of a cute market area with small open air touristy shops. The service was top tier - super nice workers!

Great service with a smile. Came here for the Shave Ice because they were open early. Flavor was good but the ice was more like crushed ice but the syrups were tasty. Portions were huge and we just ordered a small. Their poke is fresh as they were delayed opening making it.

Per usual, I had to go to Costco yet again. I definitely put my executive membership to good use, let me tell you! We ended up small kine venturing, and we stumbled upon @aliipoke808 located at Ali'i Gardens. I tried the spicy tuna avocado and the Hawaiian limu ahi poke with inamona, and both were good. SPICY TUNA, AVOCADO Fresh cubed ahi, sweet onions, avocado, tobiko (flying fish roe), mayo, chili oil, Hawaiian Alae salt garnished with crispy garlic chips, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and Japanese pickled ginger. My Thoughts: The ahi was super fresh and of great quality. The flavor was on point! Every ingredient had a lead role, and they all deserve a standing ovation. This was my favorite poke on the menu! My sides were pretty good too. I had crab salad and Japanese-style potato salad. The sides were just that, sides. The star of the show really was that spicy tuna avocado poke. She was stunning! HAWAIIAN LIMU AHI WITH INAMONA Fresh cubed ahi with sweet onions, ago ( Hawaiian seaweed), inamona (roasted kukui nut and sea salt), sesame oil garnished with toasted sesame seeds, and green onions. My Thoughts: Hawaiian Limu poke done right! The flavor was mayjah. Whoa, and that inamona was money! Based on their poke alone, I would definitely go back. Now I want to try their ahi katsu, coconut shrimp, and chicken karaage. If you guys are in the Kona area near Alii Garden right on Alii Drive, go and check out @aliipoke808.

Best local plate lunch spot in town. Everything on the menu is delicious. Service is on point & filled with aloha. This place is one of our Ohana's fave. It's definitely a must try.

Very good taste and fresh ingredientes. It's a local must try. We went after taking surfing lessons and there's a whole local market to shop around.

this ahi katsu had thicker fish than some chicken katsu i've gotten lately, they are not playing around!!! rice was cooked well, sauce was not smothering, and i had some leftovers for later. will be back definitely

Chef is super awesome and got some amazing cooking skills! One reason to go Kona for the day is here, Ali'i Poke and Shave Ice . I finally got to meet IRL Chef RS Ora and eat his ono kine plate lunches again (sad face, just for the day) Chef RS Ora is not only awesome but super friendly as well. I sure miss ordering his ono broke da mouth kine grinds, when he had his home delivery service on Oahu. Now that he moved and has a shop out in Kona, I have to plan my next Kona trip more often. We ordered our plates and made the drive out to Punaluu, black sand beach, during the long drive, the food smelled so good, we just couldn't wait to eat. When we finally arrived, started to grind and it was OMG... for sure broke da mouth. It brought back memories and here I am thinking of the plans for next Kona trip! Ali'i Poke and Shave Ice is located at the Ali'i Marketplace, plentiful parking cool place to shop, grab lunch & shave ice after. Look for the dark green kiosk towards your left side once you enter. All'i got daily specials, fresh poke made different styles. You can either get a plate of 1 or 2 choice or by the pound or platter. The poke tasted super fresh, nice unique flavor and hubby approved! I got the special plate of chicken karaage with ginger sauce, along with choice of 2 sides and the ahi katsu for the other half. I loved the sides, esp. shoyu garlic, imitation crab salad, mustard cabbage kim chee sure complimented the protein and rice together. My first time trying the chicken karaage with ginger sauce and Wow, this is going my new favorite! Everything on menu is So Ono, so hard to decide on what to order. Lately he has been selling out, he also does catering so business will be closed. Best to check social media page for specials, info. Overall, check out Ali'i Poke and Shave Ice, really good stuff. Tell Chef RS Ora, that I sent you, totally recommend by foodie Judy C. You will not be disappointed. Kailua-Kona is so lucky to have you as we all miss you here back on Oahu! ( I am confessing, I am planning my next trip out already) Yep. its that good! I saved my leftovers, made it back to Oahu, a few pieces of chicken and katsu which I enjoyed for lunch with salad @ work the following day) I regret not buying extra plates, why didn't I think of that?! next time. Went here twice during our 10 days in Kona. Kids had shave ice and we also tried the fried Ahi plate. Enjoyed the pickled garlic and potato salad sides.

I really enjoyed my 1 choice bowl with shoyu poke, imitation crab, and Kimchee cucumber. Very fresh and I appreciate it coming with 2 choice of sides. Service was really quick and the place was clean and the workers were happy to see us! Great job!

Best poke on the island! Everything is delicious. The spicy poke is our favorite especially with the side of the crab. The shave ice is ono and is real shave ice with tasty flavors. The owner is the best and he always has great recommendations! Love this place. It is always worth the trip. Kaumo is da best! Ty makes the kitchen run so smooth.

I don't eat fish but my husband really wanted Poke. I thought I wasn't going to find anything for me but they had this creamy garlic shrimp and it was sooo good! We drove to 3 poke spots and Ali'i was the only one open today. So glad they were! Good portions and really great customer service. Hoping to go there again before our trip is over.

I looked forward to this place again for a year from our last vacation. Something has changed. Portions are 1/2. Quality not as high. Disappointing.

Shaved ice was just ok, not worth the wait and the combo had very little poke. Our hotel was across the street, but we never went back. Drive over to Foodland if you have a car, fresh poke everyday and u get way more for less $$

This place has been the best find in our entire vacation. It's in the Ali'i Garden Marketplace; the entire vibe is relaxed with shops all around and outdoorsy seating areas. The service was spectacular! The guy who helped us let us try some of the sides since we were unsure on what to get and he had the best recommendations. And the food was fresh and delicious to say the least. The garlic side was different in the best way possible, the ocean salad was perfect and the kimchi was so flavorful. I don't know how this place isn't on everyone's "must try" travel lists/vlogs etc.

This. Place. Is. Amazing. Found it by accident, and sooooo glad I did! Now every other poke place I've been to is 3 stars compared to this. I got there shortly before closing, so they had run out of all but 2 varieties of poke. Luckily, they still had the award winning Teri Ahi Poke Tartar. I wondered if it would be worth $15 for 1/2 lb ($25 for 1 lb)--yes, yes it is!! The flavors are amazing, I loved the raw quail egg on top too. This may be the best poke I've ever had, definitely the best I've had on the Big Island. Wish I'd found it sooner, I'd go back every day! They're closed on Monday. Plan to go back Tuesday for some of the hot dishes and more poke, of course!

From Oahu to Big Island..Chef Ryoji now at Ali'i Gardens Marketplace. It has a variety of local vendors. Very nice courtyard with nice cool breezes. And a parking lot! Mahalo Nui Loa for all that you do

Authentic Hawaiian food with a modern twist that does not disappoint. My wife and I always order the Chicken karaage and two choice (spicy avo/shoyu) poke. We really enjoy the potato salad and mustard cabbage for our sides. Local style shave ice is a must to top off the food. The Kanuha Ohana and staff provide the best service with nothing but Aloha. Very welcoming experience consistently. We always sit under the monkey pod trees and pull up a table. It's usually cool enough to enjoy your meal. There is a lawn area where you could bring a blanket and lay out too. The food and service is what I would imagine most visitors envision when enjoying a Hawaiian meal in the islands. But this is a one hundred percent local favorite. Something Kona has been longing for! Shoots!

Fantastic poke,so fresh!! Got the avocado ahi with the pickled garlic and kimchi cucumber. (Both yummy) shaved ice was great too, big serving for one shaved ice- shareable for 3 people. Employees are so friendly and have the good island vibes!

Best, most fresh poke on island with quality sides and portion size. Stellar service-staff was full of Aloha and truly brightened my day.

Great little find inside the Ali'i Garden"s Market Place. The pokie was was tasty and the price compared to the one across the street was a bonus. You get more food for your money! Would recommend coming over here. And you can walk around and shop for souvenirs.

Horrible service it's never open when it's supposed to be open, take a risk of coming here when it's closed during normal business hours and waste a trip. I pass it and go for something you know will definitely be open. Very unprofessional.

I never leave a review but this one deserves a special praise I've had my share of poke from all over the world. I go out of my way to try diff pokes. This shop might rank among the best. If you get a chance give it a try you won't regret it.

Absolutely delicious poke. So good. I got the spicy tuna with avocado and my sides were cucumbers and potato salad. It was served over warm rice and it was a perfect combo. Some of the best poke I've had.

LITERALLY THE BEST MEAL IVE EVER HAD Everything on my plate was perfect- Ahi- breaded with the 2 sauces made me want to cry - so delicious - and the 2 sides- potato and crab salads - unbelievable - I came Back And ate the same meal 2 days in a row - thank you thank you !!!!

I happened to visit the Ali'i marketplace to check out their local vendors and I found a poke bowl place that sell Poke bowls and Shaved ice. We order a single poke bowl consisting of fresh Ahi poke in shoyu with a single raw quail egg topped on the fresh fish. I was skeptical at first but the taste and quality of fresh poke was outstanding that I had to walk back and added my cash tip to their tip jar. My recommendation, is to stop by this marketplace on Ali'i Drive and find the poke bowl food truck on the far end. On the opposite end, there is a Mexican food truck for fresh tacos...next time. Sorry no photos

Went to the market to check things out, it is a nice tourist spot to bring friends. Went up to check it out for the shaved ice option, talked to the team inside and ended up discussed the Poke options instead. Definitely impressed with the service and the quality of the poke. Had the spicy avocado poke - definitely recommend the garlic clove sides. Would eat here again.

Really enjoyed this place! It's not fancy, but it's perfect for being a casual spot with quality food. their coconut shave ice was perfection, their seaweed salad tasted fresh, and their karaage was both crispy and flavorful! Would absolutely recommend getting a bite here if you're in the area (especially if you're shopping at the booths nearby).

They do not serve shaved ice! They're passing off crushed ice as shaved... not even close to the same... find another spot for real shaved ice

I have been to a number of poke places in Hawaii, California and Washington and this is the best poke I have ever had. The ahi was so fresh and the marinades are delicious. The avacado in one them was like butter, so smooth. The imitation crab salad was fantastic along with the seaweed salad. The portions are generous and great service.

Sooo yummy!! Definitely check this place out. We got the avocado tuna and shoyu and it was awesome. Potato salad is fantastic too.

This place is a hidden gem! Literally the best poke I've had in town and in my whole life. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. The flavor profiles are amazing. Literally have been craving it everyday since I've had it. It's located in the ali'i gardens marketplace. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed like I was at these other popular poke spots. Definitely give this place a try. You wouldn't suspect it from a shave Ice stand but I'm telling you it's amazing ! And the prices are good as well!

I only tried the spicy ahi tuna and WOW! Best I've had so far. Service was excellent. Ambiance is relaxed.

OMG!! These guys are amazing! Everything had a unique umami flavor explosion!!! Every bite was wow! Ahi and kahuna special with mustard Kim chee, pickled garlic, seafood salad, sea weed Salad, even the rice was amazing!!!

Ordered spicy tuna poke and Ahi tartar , and some special one (cant recall the name) very tasty and fresh. Also great service and friendly owners, highly recommended

The Teri poke is some of the best I've had on the island. The special and unique ingredients combined with the small cuts of tuna help to create a great amount of flavor and texture. Highly recommend and is going to take over my go to spot for poke when I'm in town.
