Tucked away near the gum wall, this cozy hideaway serves stellar thin-crust pizzas with creative toppings and boasts an inviting vibe and great cocktails.
"After-hours at Pike Place is an alternate dimension where you can barge into The Alibi Room for a drink or two without feeling like you’re surrounded by people who just spackled the gum wall with their masticated Orbit White. Lurking in the darkness with a Toki highball and splitting a good-enough pizza with friends isn’t a bad way to cap off a night’s general shenanigans. Especially if those shenanigans include the gum wall." - aimee rizzo
"This dark, speakeasy-style bar is a lesser-known Pike Place Market staple, hidden in the cobblestone streets of Post Alley. We love that it’s hard to find, unassuming, and nostalgic. Once inside, look for the 40+ old scripts of films in which Tom Skerritt has appeared. Aim to go for a weeknight happy hour to avoid the tourist crowds and traffic. The Spicy Mac & Cheese and the Truffle Tre Fungi Pie top our must-eat list." - Parker
"Micah’s longtime friend Shelby celebrates her birthday at The Alibi Room’s Greenwood location. It’s fun to see this place full of people wearing smart casual outfits when it’s typically suitable for eating mid-tier wood-fired pepperoni pizza in pajama pants. It’s also fun to finally see beverages poured in clear glassware for once. Paul puts up with a lot in this scene, and the only thing spicier than the rude comments from Micah’s tipsy pals is The Alibi Room’s mac and cheese." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo
"This Greenwood spot comes in handy if you want—on little to no notice—a decent wood-fired pepperoni pie alongside some spicy mac and cheese and a pint of porter before moving on with your life. The pub-like atmosphere makes the dark space pretty accommodating whether you’re wearing nice jeans or sweatpants, and there’s also an entire second floor available for private pizza parties. All in all, Alibi Room is a solid back-up plan if you can’t get into anywhere else on Greenwood Ave." - Aimee Rizzo
"When: Every day, open-6pm The Deal: $4.50 beers, $4.75 well drinks, $5 glasses of wine To get to The Alibi Room you have to venture inside Post Alley, where hundreds of people stick their used chewing gum on a brick wall for no reason—but the drinks here (and the spicy mac and cheese) are worth it. You can pretty much order any well drink you want, but we suggest going for something signature, like their rosemary brown sugar sazerac. Plus, you can get mini versions of their pizzas for half-price during Happy Hour." - aimee rizzo
