"Miles from the ocean and high in the hills of Maui’s pastoral Upcountry, this lavender farm is a very worthy day trip—even if it means tearing yourself away from the waves for a few hours. It’s an incredibly relaxing experience to stroll among the lavender fields. There are 55,000 lavender plants here, including forty-five different varieties of lavender (and in case you didn’t know that there even were forty-five types of lavender, well, you’re not alone), spread across thirteen well-tended acres. There are also chicken coops, a shop that sells farm-made bath products, and spectacular views everywhere you look. "

"Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm is a 13.5-acre working farm in Upcountry with roughly 55,000 lavender plants and nearly 45 varieties of lavender, along with olive trees, hydrangeas, and succulents. You’ll learn more than you ever thought there was to know about lavender plants, which aren’t native to Maui. The backstory of the farm is an interesting piece of local history too: Horticulturist Ali’ Chang was gifted a lavender plant by a friend and turned that single specimen into a working farm, botanical garden, and shop." - Juliana Shallcross

"Let’s start big picture. What’s the vibe here? Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm is a 13.5-acre working farm in Upcountry with roughly 55,000 lavender plants and nearly 45 varieties of lavender, along with olive trees, hydrangeas, and succulents. The wide-open space provides expansive views of West Maui—it's a lovely place to hang out for a bit. Fun! Any standout features or must-sees? You’ll learn more than you ever thought there was to know about lavender plants, which aren’t native to Maui. The backstory of the farm is an interesting piece of local history too: Horticulturist Ali’ Chang was gifted a lavender plant by a friend and turned that single specimen into a working farm, botanical garden, and shop stocked with lavender-infused snacks and toiletries. Got it. Was it easy to get around? The lavender farm costs $3 fee to enter; from there, you can go at your own pace. Those with mobility issues can book a golf-cart tour. That sounds cool. All said and done, what—and who—is this best for? This is a laid-back and easy activity for everyone to do, especially those with grandparents and younger children in tow." - Juliana Shallcross

We loved our visit here! The views are amazing! The auntie at the gate was so friendly and welcoming! So many wonderful plants! We tried their lavender ice cream too! Cute little gift shop and just amazing overall!

Google
This place is a purple paradise ! No idea how anyone has a one star experience. The grounds are gorgeous, the views are spectacular, and the cafe and gift shop are way beyond pleasant. We had a perfectly peaceful experience and found all staff members to be inviting and kind. They charge a nominal fee of $5 to park and enter the grounds which is very reasonable IMHO. This was for us a beautiful morning and early afternoon very well spent. Definitely recommended and we would return without a second thought.

Google
Well, it takes quite a long time to get here , but it’s perfect for an ‘on the way’ stop-off while heading to Haleakala. tThe grounds are well-kept and quite nice and you’ll find some unique and tropical flowers and plants. They set up several picturesque ‘instagram’ spots in various locations. The view of Maui is expansive and awesome. You don’t realize you’re at a high point on the island till you see this. The gift shop and coffee shop are a nice touch. All lavender stuff. Even scones and coffee. Pro tip: Arrive 15 min before closing and parking, coffee and tea are complimentary. There’s a steep hill where the lavender patch is. It is very tiny. Much tinier than I expected since it’s called lavender in the name! And a little Buddha or Tao statue. More picture time. I don’t think it’s a must-see attraction but certainly worth it if you’re in or around the area. A generous four stars cuz many people love it.

Google
Amazing views! This is definitely a worthwhile stop on your visit. Relaxing, unique and a great place to grab something special for your loved ones back home. They have lavender goodies (see my lavender latte) and a gorgeous flower garden to stroll through. I could spend hours here. Check it out!

Google
This is less of a lavendar farm and more of an estate garden. There are incredible views and it is very breezy. The hills are mostly grass with a few small sections of various lavendar. So don't expect rows and rows of purple lavendar! Below the initial grass covered rolling hills with the few rows of lavendar is the residence estate. That is where the absolutely beautiful garden is. A huge variety of magnificent proteas and trees are down here. They are very specific on not allowing you to bring food in now. In years past, you could picnic with your family on the hills with the beautiful views, but now only allow you to buy their scones and drinks from the shop. Maybe they had bad experiences with people leaving trash? If you go here with the expectation of visiting a boutique, garden estate, you won't be disappointed! But it is definitely not a family picnic spot, nor a lavendar farm. Wheelchairs would be near impossible to push around and if you have mobility needs, definitely bring a walking instrument of some sort, one specific to exterior terrain would be helpful.

Google
This place is wonderful the views are amazing and love all the different kind of flowers. and the gift shop has so many good items to buy

Google
Lovely morning spent walking the lavender fields. We were there in February so not everything was in bloom but there was plenty to see (and smell). It was a peaceful spot to stop at on our way up Haleakala. I highly recommend the lavender scone and lavender lemonade!!

brandy potter22

Google
Amazing farm. Loved all the little details they put into the farm to make it fun. Really enjoyed relaxing and taking in the view. 4,000 feet up you can see everything. Very special place.

Marko C.

Yelp
Amazing. I've been coming here for years and the peace / relaxation / mana never changes! Tour the grounds which boasts lavender, protea, hibiscus and a handful of tropical flowers! The general store has a wide assortment of items to enhance your visit - beach towels, tshirts, sweaters, linen spray, coffee and teas, jellies and jams, scone mix and culinary lavenders. And a lot more! Store manager Kim is super knowledgeable and welcoming! Entry is $3 per person, $2 for kamaaina with valid ID

Sabrina A.

Yelp
It's a lovely stop to spend some time snacking, walking, and enjoying the views. The gift shop is plentiful! I walked away with some lotions. My husband got the lemonade and cookie. All were fantastic! Walking around the grounds is wonderful. I enjoyed all the sections, small lavender area, but the views are worth the stop alone.

Hal S.

Yelp
For my 500th review I was hoping to have a wonderful, over-the-top, out-of-this-world review. While the views at Ali'i Kula meet the standard, everything else is very nice but not really 5 star level. It's a nice drive from Kihei or Lahaina on a nice sunshiny day, and as I mentioned the views are phenomenal! But, the lavender, not native to Hawaii, is not really abundant. They farm several types that bloom at different times of the year. The fee to enter the grounds is $5 per person. For that you get some great views, you can traverse the grounds, which are beautiful, and you can buy assorted lavender sundries and souvenirs in their shop. Prices seem fair, but definitely don't come across as a great deal. Hearing other patrons talk about how good the scones were, we had to try them. They have a small deck outside the shop with toaster ovens as well as lavender honey and lavender-lillikoi jam to top your scones. We tried it all and did find all of it to be very good. We may return sometime, but I don't think it makes the list of "must do's" for future Maui trips.

Alvin K.

Yelp
Came here with my family during our trip to maui. The air was fresh and crisp. It was nice and cool. I was expecting a full hillside of lavender but it was just a small portion of it that actually had lavender. But nonetheless the experience was relaxing. The gift shop had a bunch of lavender products including food and beverages. There was also a garden that you can walk through and view various plant species. It's a nice relaxing spot to visit. Check em out!

Katie B.

Yelp
Great stop! Would highly recommend. They have upped their prices to $5 per person but the grounds are well kept and so many different flowers and plants to see. The store inside has a bunch of different lavender souvenirs to take home. Absolutely do not forget to get a lavender scone and make sure to toast it! I ate one while there, took one to go, and got the jar of jelly for home!

Scott A.

Yelp
I'm sad that I couldn't give this place more stars. As an avid gardener and a lover of the outdoors this place had, in concept, everything for me but sadly it came up short. The grounds and view are beautiful but when you hear the words "lavender farm" I think of just acres and acres of fields filled with lavender. Such is not the case. There is lavender there but not in an amount I would classify as a "farm". They do have lavender products available for sale and we had a scone and some other goodies which were delicious. Everyone there was super friendly and nice and I generally liked it. To me this is a farm that grows lavender, not a lavender farm. I would not say this is a "must see" if you're headed to Maui.

Lorie G.

Yelp
If you love lavender, protea, plants and flowers - you'll fall in love with this place. There are different trails to take and so many different variety of beautiful flowers and greenery. It was raining when we went and the gift shop let us use their umbrellas (just had to leave a driver's license). It cost $3 pp to visit, and kama'āina price is $2 pp. After our walk, we went back into the gift shop to return the umbrellas and buy some lavender scones to go. If you love scones, these are such a treat.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Tropical paradise found! Ali'i Kula Lavender farm is a must-visit destination. So much to see-lush fields of purple blooms, colorful gardens, and the panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains created a breathtaking backdrop to this serene oasis. We spent hours soaking up the tranquility walking and taking in the moments. We even enjoyed a picnic amidst the beautiful scenery. This is the perfect destination to unwind and rejuvenate your soul.

Sabrina N.

Yelp
Was very excited to come here and was surprised by not only the great gift shop of which I got several things but also the extensive garden of other plants and flowers, and the amazing view of Maui's mountains/islands from the top of the lavender field. First time here in Maui and was absolutely worth it!!

Yelp
Long overdue review of one of my favorite places to visit on Maui! I live on Oahu and I thank my friend and my manicurist (both Oahu-born and raised) for recommending Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm for a Maui itinerary. I meant to review this lavender farm right after my first visit five years ago. On that first visit, it was the spring of 2019, I drove by myself, and enjoyed seeing and smelling all the lavender over sunny, clear skies. I was able to see a beautiful view of the valley below Kula. That visit left such an impression on me that since then, I'd talk my husband's ear off about this farm whenever we'd use lavender products like essential oils or soaps! Last week, I finally took my husband here, along with his sister/my sis-in-law, our brother-in-law and their kids. Even though the skies were overcast, the farm was still serene and calm as ever. What I found interesting was that the gloomy August trip to the farm had much more visitors than my bright April trip, where only one or two other families were visiting. Check out the gift shop/cafe! I enjoyed a lavender latte during my first visit. On my second visit, my family and I split lavender scones and lavender hot tea. Everything was tasty. The scones weren't overpowering of lavender, and they were slight sweet, savory, warm, and crisp from their toaster oven, and even better with butter! Best to review the weather forecast for the town of Kula when planning a trip here! We stayed in sunny Wailea, but Kula wasn't the same as we drove up. Kama'aina and military discounts exist. Kids under 12 enter for free. My husband and I hope to return on a sunnier day and pick up some donut sticks from Makawao's Komoda Bakery on the way!

Kendell B.

Yelp
Beautiful gardens to visit. Up in the mountains, the road to get there is a little curvy. The admission fee is $5 per person. I would say if you are a manual wheelchair user, this would be a difficult place to visit- even difficult for some power wheelchairs as the gardens are on a hill, there are 3 levels to it all. The plants and flowers here are pretty, it's a peaceful place to visit. They have a gift shop to browse with a few snacks and drinks. There are port-a-potties.

Vinay Y.

Yelp
Beautiful nature garden near Maui. They have some cool and unique items in the gift shop. Make sure to try interesting items like lavender scones. The gardens are very peaceful and serene. Plan for about half a day here if you want to enjoy the gardens peacefully.

Cassandra S.

Yelp
This is our second time here - the first time was in January of 2020 and now again in 2024. The first time the farms were filled with lavender all the way down the hillside and the garden was much more full of exotic flowers. This time there were 3 small patches of lavender and less in the garden. It seemed wild to still call themselves a lavender farm. That said, it is still one of the best views on the island, despite the lack of lavender. So still worth the $3. The gift shop is where they really gouge you. A bookmark was $16. Other items are up to $200. Staff is very friendly. Views are amazing. It's still a good stop along your journey, just don't expect too much lavender.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Ali'i Kula Lavender farm is a must include stop in your itinerary if you're visiting Maui. The entrance fee is $3. That's pretty cheap for what you will experience. The farm is a self tour with a beautiful view and a nice scent of lavender. And it's not just the lavender you will find. There's olive trees, succulents, hydrangeas, to name a few of the plants in the garden. It's a lovely place to just relax, a laid back activity to enjoy as you walk around. They have a little shop that sells lavender-infused honey, snacks, chocolates, teas, coffees, and other souvenirs items.

Lisa T.

Yelp
What a great farm with different serene areas to walk around. You can sit and enjoy the view and just feel Zen while smelling lavender. Check in on Yelp for free lavender tea. Add some lavender honey as a sweetener and enjoy the grounds. Definitely pick up some lavender scented items in the gift shop! We saw an ad in This Week Maui and had our admission fee waived.

Jen M.

Yelp
Always one of my favorite places to go to on maui. Peaceful and beautiful, you could just sit up here in your own thoughts and just relax. Don't forget to stop at the store to get your delicious lavender scone with butter and jelly. They dont have the toaster oven to warm up your scone anymore so def take it home with you if you prefer your scone toasted. It's still delicious either way. As im writing this, im kicking myself that we didnt buy more to bring home for some breakfasts this week! This is def a place to take your loved ones who are visiting from out of town. Beautiful grounds, lots of places to walk, and lots of amazing plants to look at. Don't skip this on your trips upcountry!

Marie P.

Yelp
There is no fee for admission to the lavender "field". There is a fee for parking. The grounds are pretty and there are a lot of different plants to see. The lavender itself was a few patches by the parking lot. We thought it was going to be a "field" of lavender. There is a small gift shop. Plenty of places to sit throughout the gardens. It is a bit of a walk with hills and stairs. There are no bathrooms, just porta potty that are not maintained. Maybe something to do once. It was underwhelming.

Clarice T.

Yelp
It was a nice drive up; relaxing and scenic views. Beautiful garden and they have a great view of the island. They have a nice cute gift shop with lavender products. We ordered lavender coffee and tea with some lavender scones and their complementary lavender honey or the lavender lilikoi honey jam. We got to enjoy this in their patio overlooking the garden. The staff was super welcoming and eager to answer any questions. They take pride in their own garden. It was the perfect place to take photos including amazing plants and local flowers other than lavenders

Heidi H.

Yelp
Nice self tour. Go at your own pace. Too bad there wasn't a lot of lavender blooming but it was not the right season. Purchased lavender scones and they were tasty. Some of the staff was friendly. We did not have time to check the botanical garden. They provided butter and honey for the scones. I believe they had slight lavender flavor too.

Cassidy T.

Yelp
Super cute farm. They have lots of lavender treats and things inside for purchase as well. My husband and I really enjoyed our time touring this farm! Definitely worth the stop.

Harinder K.

Yelp
A peaceful retreat from the crowds and beaches. This is located upcountry, 4,000 ft asl, and has lovely gardens and views of Maui. Enjoy the beautiful flowers and a scone. The land is hillside and steep - not ideal for people with walking restrictions.

Peggy H.

Yelp
If you're looking for a mini retreat upcountry, Aliʻi Kula Lavender is the place for you. It's tucked away in a quiet pastoral setting, with walking paths, gorgeous flowers everywhere, and jaw-dropping views. There's a nice variety of items in the gift shop, including shirts, body care products, art and jewelry, and tempting treats like shortbread cookies, scones, brownies, honey, and more, all featuring lavender as a prominent ingredient. After you finish exploring the lush grounds, get a lavender tea and a lavender scone (with butter and honey or lavender-lilikoi jelly) and relax in one of their seating areas. You won't want to leave!

Candace F.

Yelp
The last time I was here was over 10 years ago. Times have really changed for this lavender farm. I was surprised at the $3 per person charge for admission...cash only. Upon driving onto the grounds I couldn't believe the barren fields that were once filled with lavender. The farm still has a beautiful view of the ocean and the stillness of the surrounding. There are lower gardens with a small walking path. The small garden of proteas are very pretty. What was once the after thought of other flowers became the main greens. There are some really great Instagram worthy shots but no lavender. The cute store is still there with overpriced apparel, toiletries and trinkets. The scones are okay but part of the experience. Seating outside is lovely. We would like to return when the fields are replenished. Unfortunately we saw the former lavender fields choked with weeds.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Would like to see the tours resumed. Felt like I missed so much when doing self guided. It was, however, beautiful and I got some great photos. I loved the shop and bought some lavender/Amber oil which makes me happy. The scent is perfect. Beautiful views. A nice event to enjoy.

Sallie R.

Yelp
Such a lovely place. Fresh lavender all around. Great place to relax and enjoy the majestic view of Maui. It is small, but good spot to visit in upcountry side of Kula. There's an admission fee of $3 cash only. Check out their store which offers many products produced with lavender scents. Definitely get their scones with jelly. I don't even like scones, but was so good topped with the jelly. Wanted to buy some, but only sold in big bottles. I couldn't take it back home on my flight home. Service wasn't the best though. I didn't feel that friendly vibe. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Marlene Y.

Yelp
Alii Kula Lavender farm is a must stop for Upcountry residents and visitors alike! Beautiful slopes of Haleakala filled with lavender and other beautiful plants/flowers. Wonderful lemonade with a bit of lavender and even lavender scones will make your visit that much more refreshing. Enjoy the grounds for $3 or bring canned goods for donation. You can stage events on the grounds as well.

John D.

Yelp
Balance of Flower Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm (AK) is a 13.5-acre farm that sits along the slopes of Haleakalā and is home to 55,000 lavender plants and 20 different varieties of lavender. The Good: *While the summer is the best time to see the lavender blooming, they do have varieties that grow year-round. *Gorgeous views of not just the plants but the surrounding area, and since you're at an elevation of ±4000' you'll really get a bird's eye view of Maui. *They don't have just lavender plants, but a host of other trees and flowers. *At only $3/per entrance fee, this might be the best value on Maui. *Great gift shop that sells all kinds of lavender-themed products; I'm not sure if it's made using their lavender or if it's just a generic brand that they throw their logo on. The Meh: *Garden isn't that big, so don't expect to spend all day here, but it's still pretty good for $3. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *Wasn't a fan of the lavender lemonade they sold at the gift shop. Hardly any lemon and no discernible lavender flavor. TLDR: Fantastic botanical garden with amazing views and at a great value.

Mei T.

Yelp
The Ali'i Kula Lavender fields were surprisingly the highlight of our visit to Maui. There was over 12 acres of land that stretched across the plains. In addition to the various types of lavender, there were countless breeds of exotic flowers and tropical plants. We enjoyed walking through the fields and soaking in all of the natural beauty that surrounded us. We spent a good amount of time perusing through the gift shop and bought some lavender oils, lotions, and lip balm. We also bought some lavender scones and cookies to go with our honey lavender tea. The tea was free with a Yelp check-in, which was a pleasant surprise. We at on the balcony to enjoy our treats while admiring the beautiful view. It was so relaxing being there and I would love to come back during my next visit to Maui.

Cheryl H.

Yelp
What a beautiful place. 4 stars instead of 5, only because there wasn't a lot of lavender. However, they are in the process of re-planting, so give it time In the meantime, they also have beautiful gardens to wander through and plenty of benches to stop and sit and enjoy. Their gift shop is full of so many wonderful things! Make sure to have a cup of their delicious hot lavender tea with some lavender honey swirled in. Finish your time sitting out on the deck, enjoying a cup of tea, coffee or delicious lavender treats.

Anna F.

Yelp
Such a cute place to visit! I love lavender so this place was just what I would want to do when in Maui. The staff is so friendly. You can smell and take some of the flowers to take home and make a small bouquet for yourself. The gift shop is super cute and independently opened if you want to support small businesses. I tried the lavender tea and added lavender honey and lavender scone. The lavender scone was moist and perfectly paired with butter and lavender honey. It was nice sitting on the patio overlooking the mountains and beaches. It's cooler since we were in a higher elevation so I would bring a jacket if you get chilly. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
We love the beaches in Kihei but we are so glad we spent the day upcountry at this lavender farm! So pretty and serene, you must go. We also enjoyed their yummy lavender scones and brownies with a lavender coffee and lavender lemonade for the kids! After our visit we had a delicious lunch at Kula Bistro just 10 minutes away and then stopped at Kula Country Farms. It was a perfect day and we enjoyed seeing more of the beauty of Maui!

Masha S.

Yelp
Cute local business with amazing lavender options. We got the lavender tea and scone and I picked up an aroma therapy roller and lavender satchel for my clothes. The farm is cute to explore!

Miguel M.

Yelp
One of the most gorgeous places to visit - I always recommend coming here if just for the peace and fresh air you get while looking at a beautiful scenic view of Maui. Definitely bring shoes or footwear that's easy to get around in as there are a couple of points of walking downhill and uphill throughout the farm. A classic staple has to be the Lavender Scones with the Lilikoi Jelly - this combo is a classic among my friends growing up, and I'll always recommend trying it from their gift shop café if you get the chance along with their coffee/lavender drink options - Miguel Morales Photography

Margaret L.

Yelp
Love this amazing treasure hidden up near Kula. Love everything lavender. They even offer shipping which is essential for those of us who tend to Overpack their suitcases. Also, if you're in the area check out this hike after your lavender tour!

Shaw Y.

Yelp
Beautiful lavender farm and wonderful people! The scenery was amazing and the place was well organized. The front gate staff member was cheerful and we could tell she loved her job by the way she greeted us! The store had the most excellent lavender products. I am a huge fan of a certain oil company and didn't think I would like the lavender oil from the gift shop but I was wrong. The lavender oil from Ali'i Kula Lavender blew me away ... it smelled so heavenly. The lavender waterless soap that we tried at the front entrance of the store wowed us as it smelled good and didn't leave a film on our hands like some sanitizers do. The store also had amazing Lavender tea and scones (with butter) that you can purchase. Th stones can be warmed up in their toaster ovens on the porch along with jams and honey! We are grateful for visiting Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm, it was the highlight of our trip!

Peter J. H.

Yelp
Nice outing, $3 per person paid at the parking entrance unless you have military or Hawaii ID then it's $2. Being at 4,000' elevation the place was cool, borderline cold, and overcast or drizzly the entire time we were there. We walked the grounds and admired the lavender, explosion of flowers and all the different birds. I checked in with Yelp app and got a free cup of hot lavender tea, and they gave me a free sample of lavender honey which was really good inside the tea. All the lavender products in the gift shop are very pricey, but that's the price we pay for having things that are local, made locally. I am willing to pay a little extra for something that's not made in China, and even made in Hawaii and this area! We got a themed hoodie, three tiny jars of honey, a box of herb tea, essential oils, couple of lavender brownies and a cookie and it all came to about $133. Almost half of that was the price of the hoodie, $65. This is always a peaceful, fragrant place to hang out for a couple of hours when we visit Maui!

Melody T.

Yelp
What an amazing experience to walk through the grounds of Ali'i Kula Lavender... There is a $3 entry fee per person and $2 for senior citizens. They have a small gift shop that smells heavenly with all the lavender souvenirs they carry... They also have yummy lavender scones that comes with a side of butter and I think mango jam which tasted amazing. We also enjoyed their lavender coffee, lavender tea and lavender lemonade which was my favorite.

Ri L.

Yelp
3/4 of the flowers were not there, the scone was abysmal, many paths were not clear. Maybe just the season but it was not enjoyable to visit at all.

Jan K.

Yelp
No trip to Maui is complete without a visit to the Lavender Farm. The views and gardens are a must see. The gift shop is great and you can enjoy a cup of lavender coffee and a lavender brownie or scone. It's worth the trek up the hill

Shirley M. F.

Yelp
11/28/2022: Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm Address: 1100 Waipoli Road Kula, Maui 96790 Kiosk: Carol collects $3.00 CASH ONLY per car. FYI: Entrance driveway to AKL Farm-all visitors must leave BEFORE 4:00 PM, i.e., GATE CLOSES AT 4:00 PM SHARP! BTW: It was a l--o--n--g, arduous drive driving from Napili to Kula, i.e., Maui is NOT a tiny island unlike Moorea, French Polynesia where it takes about thirty minutes driving Moorea's entire circumference; it took 1-3/4 hours arriving at Ali's Kula Lavender Farms! Aside, please review my photos: The lavender products I purchased are from the Gift Shop located at Ali'i Kula Lavender.

Miranda M.

Yelp
The lavender farms themselves were stunning! Honestly it was far more than lavender; there were so many varieties of flowers- like a botanical garden. I'm only giving four stars for two reasons: 1. Although they hand you a very detailed map, the paths are not very well marked. 2. I wish they would allow you to enjoy a picnic lunch on the property. There are signs that say no outside food. Side note-- we have a wagon for the kids and the parking lot was incredibly steep. It was hard to drag it through the lavender farm as well. So I would say it's not very stroller/wagon friendly.

May A.

Yelp
Beautiful gardens with breathtaking views The farm is located on the beautiful slopes of Haleakala but our visit was off season so we did not see any lavender plants or very little of it. Lavender bloom season is late May through June (I think) and I'm not sure if they offered U-pick days where guests can enjoy selecting and cutting their own lavender bouquets to purchase. We checked in the gift shop to pay the admission fee of $3/person. We got the Kama'aina rate which was $1 off each. Masks were required when entering the gift shop. The 13.5-acre included paved trails, bridges and walking paths so wear comfy shoes. It was a very warm Labor Day weekend so a sun hat also helps. We started our self-guided tour with the lower part of the property where we found olive trees, hydrangea, Protea, succulents, native Hawaiian flora, roses and an exceptional variety of other plants. We enjoyed finding some peace and quiet at the gazebos and benches. Check in Yelp to claim a free cup of lavender tea. I purchased a Lavender Dark Chocolate and this complemented my tea. It was very good. The gift shop offered many items including bath & body, shirts, hoodies, accessories, kitchen and culinary stuff and even lavender for pets! LoL The property is off the beaten path but we did not have a hard time finding it. Farm Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm. Glad we were able to squeeze this on our last day in Maui. Review #2729

Yelp
It's a beautiful place to walk around the garden and enjoy the views from the hills. There are paths to admire the lavender plants. The cute store is stocked with a variety of merchandise on lavender from soap to sprays, teas, and tea towels!

Yelp
Beautiful grounds. Lots to see and an amazing view. You can see both coasts at once. I'm not a lavender fan, it the fam wanted to come by. Lots of great places to sit and just enjoy the breeze, sounds of nature, and the gorgeous view. Gift shop sells souvenirs and snacks. It is a bit steep in many places, so the whole place isn't accessible if you have mobility problems.

Yelp
My family and I spent a perfect April afternoon strolling around the gardens and perusing the many unique and high-quality offerings at the gift shop. It was the ideal, relaxing activity to do after our five-hour flights. The view is definitely a highlight, as you can see much of Maui's unique terrain through the clearance.

Yelp
I hiked here from the bus stop (Rice Park is no longer a stop FYI). Hard hike up 1000ft but well worth it for the yummy scones and refreshing herbal iced tea. And the views, well, that was the best

Yelp
Came here with the family because we heard good things about it. Was only about $12 for the four of us to get in. The parking lot is on a slant so it's something to be aware of. We came during the off season so I wouldn't say that the lavender were in full bloom but it was still a great view and it smelled great too. There's not too much stuff to look at but its nice walking the grounds. The gift shop was really small but had so much lavender stuff, we couldn't not buy a bunch of stuff. We got honey, shirts, tea, a brownie, lemonade and some other stuff (it was a lot). All the food tasted really good and maybe its just me, but made me relaxed? It was a great visit and loved how the area was nice and quiet. Perfect place to take the family for a low key outing.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful spot in Maui where you can go appreciate the gardens and the high views. Also, I am obsessed with lavender so I loved the gift shop. I ended up walking out with some lavender lemonade which I highly recommend. The lemonade tasted so good sweet, tart, and with a hint of lavender. I also got the Lavender potato chips, and the chocolate. My biggest recommendation is checking to see if lavender is in season because when I went in September and there wasn't any. I still enjoyed it and it was beautiful but we wish we have known this before going.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place! I love the lavender tea! Definitely coming back! We bought so many lavender products and the view was gorgeous as the sun was setting!
