Fantastic food with a family feel. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. We came right from the airport and were able to relax and linger. The flavor of each dish was rich yet not pretentious. They were kind and adjusted on the fly to vegetarian requests. I wish I had messaged them in advance to make it easier on them. That being said, they were so kind about it all and it was such a treat!

For those people who search for and know about unique experiences, this is a must have meal. The experience begins even before you even arrive at the door, so be sure to arrive ready and with an open mind. The quality of this culinary event is every bit as good or better than any others available in the region, but substitute pretense with artisanship and passion. The meal is curated by vivacious and knowledgeable staff who make the dinner every bit exciting as the food. The chef presents very bold and unique flavors, which is complemented by his very modest approach. I have read all the reviews and urge you not to be the least bit persuaded by people who fail to understand the ethereal experience that awaits you. This is a must do and will surely become impossible to attend in the years to come. Thank you for treating my group with such kindness and fine hospitality. We look forward to coming back and experiencing his mother’s cooking, which I understand occurs during breakfast and lunch.

Wonderful food! Best we’ve had in Oaxaca. Fresh ingredients, tastefully constructed meals, and great ambience if you like being in a clam outdoor setting. The chef and his wife are phenomenal. Highly recommend coming here.

Incredible. I've been 5 times. It's like being invited into someone's home, combined with a fine-dining kitchen. The food is amazing, both the dinner, lunch and breakfast. Combines traditional techniques with a creative edge. Yes, the taxi ride can take a while, but it's a good final meal before heading to the airport. Either way, a mist-visit, and one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

I can’t say enough good things about this experience. The taxi drops you in a dark alley and then once you enter the courtyard it’s adorable and charming and the staff are so welcoming. They took the time to explain each meal and how it was prepped. An amazing selection of local organic wines. Just fantastic and not to be missed if visiting Oaxaca City.

20 minutes by taxi from Oaxaca city center. Taxi is about 200-250 pesos. Food is good, more rustic style of fine dining dishes. Seating is outside so bring a jacket if needed. When you’re done, they will call you a taxi to take you back home. Just remember - with this experience, you will pay $20 USD for transportation.

Best lunch I’ve had in Oaxaca in 7 trips. Love the concept, the hospitality and the food. Meant to be typical home meal dishes, they were simple, yet outstanding. From the owner serving/clearing plates without us knowing till the end to our waiter asking if we were full or wanting more, it was a great experience all around.
